Going Separate Ways

Nekonyan the God of Wind let out a soft stress relieving sigh. The dragons nodded understanding the idea.

"I like the way you think. Let's make this plan of yours begin to soar. We will give you all of the humanoid races under our control to you. Is there a place you wish for them to appear?"

"Hmm, we don't have a ton of space at the moment. It might be a castle sized base but…"

"Uh, aren't a few of you arcane mages? Just create a fortress for the time being? It should be enough space for them."

"Oh? How many people could one of these things hold?"

The God of Earth chuckled.

"How could I forget about that spell? The problem is that 10th tier magic seems to be a bit out of reach for me at the moment. There's this weird type of magic restricting me. How are you fairing?"

"Hmm, I have a similar problem. But it does feel like the restraints are lifting slowly. I should be able to cast it in a few days or so…"

"Same here…"

"Huh, I guess being a druid was the right call." Night Silver giggled. "I'll use Nature's Shelter. I don't think it's as large of a space as the fortress from the arcane field… But it should be enough to make accurate estimates. Create Nature's Shelter."

A large tree appeared out of the ground accompanied by a small hill. The two connected together in such a way that the roots of the tree lined the interior walls, giving it a textured feeling.

On the inside was a pathway leading to a spiral staircase ascending the interior of the tree. At various levels there were rooms that could support the space for 2 adults to stretch out comfortably or several children. All in all, it could house around 500 people.

"It doesn't look like it will be all that helpful."

"Hmm, yeah, 500 isn't really that much. But the fortresses should be 2 or 3 times this space."

"Yeah, if this place can hold 500 people comfortably everything should be fine for a small initial group of people."

"Good, but what will you do with the rest? Together you have space for 3500 people… I have more than that on my own."

"Won't you stop it, elder brother? You've got 5000 total among the humans, elves and dwarves. This is a good start. We can send them over here once we return home."

"I know but they only have space for 3500? How are they going to take all of them?"

"Space won't be that big of a problem. And we can take care of transportation ourselves, isn't that right?"

"That's right, Guild Master. Greater teleportation has a capacity limit but Gate doesn't have the same issues."

"Then let's start. We will go around the world and gather people for this nation."

"Guild master, we should prioritize…"

"I know, men will sleep outside in makeshift tents. Women currently with children will have the highest priority for comfortable lodgings. Next is children, then men…"

"Seems like you've settled on this. But I have a question…"

"What is it, Surshana?"

"Well, to be frank. Do we have the resources to feed such a large group of people? We could run out of food in the Guild Pantry quite fast if we had to feed 500 let alone the 5000 from one of these places."

All eyes including the dragon's looked at the lake and then to Night Silver.

"Oh come on! Can't you conjure something? Like anything?"

"Well, not really no. Only druids had the ability to conjure ingredients as far as I know."

"Do you at least have a butcher and a chef?"

"Oh yeah, some of the NPC's we made have those skills. Why?"

"Then the food will be fine. I just need to speak with these NPC's of yours. I can conjure practically an infinite amount. But it will keep me busy so I'll have to leave the details of bringing the people over on your own."

"That… Hmm, if it's just us it will be a slow burn."

"Perfect! If it's a slow burn we can actually work out the kinks in the system before it gets too large to handle."

"Well then, let's introduce you to the guild's NPC's. I'm sure one of them is going to crawl on you a bit."

The guild members started hovering, either through silent casting or fly enchants. The dragons saw this and took to the skies as well.

"We will head back to our domains and start moving the slaves… I mean people out. They'll be ready for you whenever you come by."

"Sounds good. We will come by later."

The dragons nodded and then flew their separate ways. Once they were gone, Night Silver pulled the 36 corpses into her inventory.

"Huh? You have that much space in there for that?"

"What? Of course I do! I bought just about everything a wandering druid could ever need or want. And a high capacity inventory was undoubtedly one of those things. I also have something else, but I didn't want to show the dragons it yet. I don't fully trust them."

"Huh? Why's that? They seemed to be quite honest so far?"

"Well, there are some who won't have an issue with our plan. But more than half of them are definitely against this."

The surprise on the 6 god's faces was palpable, however Surshana had to ask.

"Then why did they not attack after they were fully healed? They outnumbered us 2 to 1."

"Simple, they fear me. Even if it wasn't for long, I still survived in single combat against their father. It's only right that they fear my power. Besides that, they saw my magic can be quite devastating to all of a dragon's greatest assets in battle."

"I see, so they might not be preparing to hand over what we asked for."

"It won't be peaceful. That I can promise you."

"Then is that why you made an effort to be out of the picture for the pick up? So you can surprise them in case something goes down?"

"That, and I hate fighting. I like making nature flourish. That's why I choose to be a Druid. I'm sure I don't need to explain why that's what I wanted to do."

"NOPE! Not in the slightest" x6

Then they all laughed at the irony of how quickly they all said the same thing.

"Let's make an active effort to keep this world clean."

"Yeah… A shame I can't go back there in this body with my magic… I'd fix it up in about a week or so."

"Good as new?"

"Better. And I'll show some reasons why. Once we arrive at the new home." "I wonder if they know that this plan is inevitably going to lead to the loss of some people's lives."

Seemingly aware of Night Silver's inner thoughts, The God of Water flew next to Night Silver.

"We know there will be sacrifices. But if you're right about those dragons… If we don't do this then we'd be damning all of those people to death."

"I'm glad you understand."

"Yep, now then! I want to show you the bath we made! It wasn't really usable in the game. But it should be fine now. What do you say? Wanna join me in the women's bath?"
