AWAKENED IN A NEW WORLD

CHAPTER 24: Good times

Late noon, Mona returned to her hut, after a long morning of hard work. Getting water and suppliers for the warrior's health is pretty easy but tiring as the warriors have a long list . She was never used to getting things for someone else aside from her best friend, most of the time she ask the warrior's and they fetch it for her without complain. She had had enough and wanted a little time to herself, she sat on the ground and rested her back on the wall, thinking.

Out of all the confusion, she still found confusing.

"How are they still alive?" She asked herself, it was a mystery to her. She was really grateful that they managed to survive but she was also curious how they did it.

"Was it a back up plan" she says,

"Or was it somekind of secret weapon of thiers" She says, then seh remembers the tablet with her from yesterday which had plans and some drawing's.

Although it was just a quick glance the drawings were strange and confusing and not enough time to read the writing because of Arjurd.

"Was it Arjurd's doing" She said,

"Yesterday was brutal and no one had it easy"She said closing her eyes.

Memories from this morning lowed into her mind as she recollects recsnts events. Remembering the claw marks all over his body, she was spooked but was just so happy to see him she ignored, and threw herself into his embrace.

Mona opens her eyes,

"I should have asked him how they did it" She say's,

Moved by some spirit in her, she went on her knees, closed her eyes and prayed to the divine one's, the gods. Thanking them for her life, her father's life and also for the life of her people. Even though she doesn't know what happened, she believd that it was due to divine intervention from the gods they survived. When She was done, she sat on the ground and stayed unusually quiet strring at the wlls and thinking about Nothing.

This action lasted for a few minutes before,

"I'm bored" She say's,

"What do I do now" She asks herself,

Then she got an idea,

"How about I go meet up with Arjurd and Enon" She say's,

"Since the fight is over he may have no use for those plans" She thinks,

Then she remembers,

"What even happened, did my dad find me at his hut, no not possible. Then he must have snitched on me"

"But i did pass out in his hut, and that dare wolf was............."

She shivers in fright, suddenly realising the fear the warriors go through when they face those creature's.

"I wonder how brother use to fight them, maybe he was already used to it"

"But everything has always been so easy for him, since he can just use his power and scare them away" Mona say's and began to wonder if she can learn magic as well.

"It would be nice" she say's with a smile.

Mona stopped talking and started at the wall, thinking. She really misses her brother, if he had not died, she wouldn't be bored. He alway's entertain her by doing some of the most impossible yet funny thing. She remembers his body will glow purple and wind will circle his body. Those time where he really wanted to show off, he jumped high into the air to the sky. As she watched from the ground view it was as though he reached the heaven and returned. As he falls wind circles all around him, holding him in the air as he lands safely. He gives Mona heart attacks each time he does it, as much as she yells at him, he would always laugh.

Mona smiles as she thinks of her brother,

"Good times" She said,

Linurk walks in, she was shocked by his action.

"Don't you knock before bagding into peoples home" She yells,

Before Linutk could speak, the scent of fresh blood, fresh kill filled her nostrils and she drools. Her stomach rumbled, reacting to the scent.

It occured to her that he must have returned from hunting, but only him?

Shem remember's seeing all the other warriors in the new hut, either sleeping or relaxing but she never saw him. Infact, she hasn't seen him althrough today.

As much as Linurk wanted to laugh seeing the expression on her face, he didn' find her presence with them to be a laughing matting.

Linurk remained quiet with a dull expression on his face and threw a dead forest hare at her. She caught the small furry creature in her hands and sniffed it, savouring the scent before digging in.

"Thank you" She said, but got no response from Linurk and he turned and left.

"Why is acting so cold all of a sudden" She asks herself,

"Yesterday battle must have been hard on him"

Her thoughts went blank as she took another wiff of the forest hare and without further delay she sunk her teeth into it.
