CHAPTER 23: Too soft on her.

AWAKENED IN A NEW WORLD

CHAPTER 23: Too soft on her.

"I'm sorry" She said,

"I'm sorry" She repeated,

"I'm so sorry" She said once more, crying on her fathers chest.

"It's Okay" Radjar said,

""It's Okay" he reapeted and kissed her forehead,

"Everythong is fine" He said,

"I'm not going anywhere"

His words were what she's been waiting to hear before drawing away from him, with tears in her eyes and cheecks, She raised her head to look at him, it pierced his heart to see her cry and with her eyes swollen.

Just like her mother" He said inwardly.

"I'm sorry father" She said once again with a sad look on his face.

"Its Okay" He said, raising his hand to cup her cheeks and using his thumb to gently clean away her tears.

"Father i'll do anything, i'll try to make myself useful, i'll be helpful? Just.........." She paused and hugs him again,

"Don't go, Don't let me go, "

She said, crying once again like a child.

"It's Okay" He said, shocked by her words.

"You are not going anywhere" He said.

His words contrasting with his previous plan to send her off to his people as soon as Linurk gets thier posistion.

"I think the warriors will need water to help them recover, can you go get some" He asked,

Mona drew back from her father and eargly nodded her headed, she rushed out of his hut to get water from the river.

Radjar sat on the ground after she left,

"Oh god what i'm I going to do now"

He said rubbing his forehead assive having a terrible headache.

"Hmm"

He hummed as his mind went back to the events of last night,

"Just as the Prophecy said"Radjar said,

"He shall come like light in flames and will and deliver us from this endless pain and suffering" He says.

"I shoudn't doubt, nut I just hope "its" the one" He said, then Linurk walks into his hut.

Radjar opened his eyes to see Linurk standing infront of him with a soare in his hand. Just like Radjar, Linurk had scars and wounds al over his body.

"Have they been found?" Radjar asked,

"No"Linurk responds,

"What are you doing with that" Radjar asked, starring at the spear in Linurks hand.

"I picked it up on my way here" He say,

"I'm going hunting, to get something for the others to eat" Linurk says,

"You can't hunt in your condition especially if its only you" Radjar objects, but Linurk was not taking no for an answer.

"Our wounds won't heal on time if we stand idly by and do nothing" Linurk says,

"I won't let them die in hunger" He say's,

Radjar hearing his words, could no longer talk him out of it. If Linurk strains himself too much in his present condition his ounds would get even worst rather than dheal.

Ra

"Putting other's first before himself, the definiton of a true leader" Radjar said inwardly , admiring Linurk's determination and selflessness.

"Okay then i'll join you" Radjar said,

He then pushed himself up from the ground, trying to stand up. But the pain that bolted through his entire body was too much for him to handle. He gave up and sat still on the ground, Linurk watched struggling to keep a straight face. But it was expected, the chief hasn't fought in a long time and last night, he pushed past his limit so this is expected. After sometime the weight comes down on him and he would be immobile for a while.

The same thing happened in his first fight against the dare wolves with Ridjurd.

He remembers like it was yesterday that he couldn't move for a whole day and had to stay in the same place.

"Good times" Linurk say's with a smile.

"Give me a second" The Clan cheif said, snapping Kinukr out of his thought and bringing him back to reality.

The old clan chief tried again, struggling to move his hands to push himself up from the ground, but he couldn't and his arm grew tired and weak.

A surge of pain from his shoulder bolted through his body, he groaned in pain and gave up. This was a pitiful state Ridjurd,

"I'm no longer the warrior I once was" He said inwardly,

"What willhe think of me" He says inwardly raising his head to look at Linurk who had a dull expression on his face.

"No worries" He said,

"I got this" He said, assuring Radjar. He turmed around about to leave, then..

"Linurk" Radjar called,

"Give Arjurd and Enon something to eat when you return" Radjar said, but no response from Linurk.

Radjar can feel his uneasiness and unwilliness to give those 2 anything,

"Thier traps were very much of help night, don't you think they deserve a reward" He said.

It is sorta ture, thier traps really did help them out and giving the, food for once is somewhat like a reward. The warriors would go out to hunt, and when they return what they catch is shared among everyone except Arjurd and Enon.

"Fine" Linurk said, giving in to the logic. It was fair that they both get something to eat, just this once.

He turns around and leaves the hut immediately without waisting time. On his way out of the village, he saw Mona with a wooden bowl of water in her hand and entering the hut where the injurd warriors rested.

He sighs, seeing her go unpunished.

"His too soft on her" He say's, ignores her and went hunting.
