Chapter 12

No matter how shameless the Clark family were, they didn’t dare say anything thus they could only gnash their teeth as they glared at Rhiannon with deep hatred in their eyes.

“Thank you everyone for today. We will be leaving for a board meeting,” Rhiannon said to the reporters with a smile.

“Don’t think of taking me as a fool, I have my lawyer with me and I don’t think you want us to go to court as you know that the court will rule in my favor,” Rhiannon told her family in a low tone.

“Can we go back to the conference room for a meeting?” she asked the shareholders who nodded their heads after hearing her words.

“Also, kindly I do not need outsiders in the meeting.”

Her eyes were on Aaron and her stepmother.

When the two saw her gaze, they frowned and glared at her but there was nothing they could do as they knew that they shouldn’t go overboard they knew that Rhiannon hated them to the core and she had a lot more power in her hands than they did.

“As for my father, since he has handed his shares to Kaylee, you aren’t supposed to be part of the meeting but I will make an exception,” she said, looking at Mr Clark with a smirk but the man’s face darkened.

He regretted giving his shares to her daughter, he wished that he had known that Rhiannon would show up.

“Since the shares transfer document has been signed but haven’t gotten through the procedures, if I tear the papers, will the shares be mine?” he asked his lawyer in a low tone as the others walked out.

“Sir, I am not sure whether that is a good thing but since I have the papers and there are no other documents proofing that you gave it to the second miss…” the lawyer said then stopped as he didn’t want to get involved.

“I understand, I will talk to my daughter and convince her,” Clark said as he was very confident that Kaylee would agree to his plan.

If she didn’t agree, he didn’t mind tearing the papers without notifying her. He smiled as he thought of what he would do after he attained the shares.

The lawyer followed them to the meeting as he was the company’s lawyer and didn’t want to offend the new boss.

Mr Clark walked in and sat at the head seat as usual and didn’t see anything wrong with it.

When Rhiannon walked in, she saw the scene and chuckled darkly.

“Mr Clark, maybe you forgot that now that you aren’t the company’s president, the seat doesn’t belong to you. In fact, you aren’t even allowed in this meeting thus you should see at the furthest end.” Rhiannon said coldly making the room’s temperature decrease.

“Enough Rhiannon! You better remember that I am your father,” Mr Clark shouted angrily as he couldn’t believe the nerve of his daughter.

“Father? What kind of a father are you? A father who can’t wait for her daughter to die so that she can hand over her belongings to your bastard? Mr Clark, you and your family know very well what you people did to me so you better behave if you don’t want this to get messier,” Rhiannon warned.

Mr Clark’s face darkened but he convinced himself that although Rhiannon had the shares in her hands, she didn’t have a lot of manpower for a backer thus he didn’t take her words to heart.

“I am your father and I am going to sit in this seat,” Mr Clark said coldly causing Rhiannon to nod her head.

“Okay, I am fine with it,” she answered with a smile.

She clapped her hands twice and five built men worn in black walked in.

Seeing this, everyone held their breaths as they were afraid. Without being told, everyone knew that they must be her bodyguards.

Kaylee and her father saw the scene and they were in disbelief. They looked at the man hoping that they were the family’s men but to their surprise, they couldn’t recognize anyone. Kaylee looked at Rhiannon in jealousy as she knew that the latter had to have employed her own team with her own money.

Although Rhiannon’s mother died when she was young, she had left a lot of money in her friend’s hands who was supposed to give Rhiannon monthly pocket money thus Rhiannon had a lot of money in her hands than Kaylee.

“I have been working in the company for a long and the money my mother left is enough for me to employ some bodyguards for myself now that I am the company’s president, I will naturally have a lot of enemies but never expected that I will have to use them on my first day in office,” Rhiannon said in regret as she spoke the last words.

What a joke! She had not employed a single person as they were all Octavius men but since she was now his wife, his men were naturally hers. At first, she didn’t want their company but her husband insisted.

“He insists on sitting in that chair while I am supposed to sit as the head. What do you think we should do?” she asked the men as she pretended to be on thought but they understood what she meant.

One of them hurriedly walked towards Mr Clark, even if he had been pretending to be brave, seeing the built figure walking towards him, he shivered in fear as he was afraid of been beating up.

“Rhiannon! What are you doing> I am your father! How can you ask him to beat me up?” he asked loudly as he shrank in his seat cowardly.

Rhiannon heard his words and cries but she pretended not to hear him.

When the others saw how cold Rhiannon was even to her father, they wondered what had really happened to her as they had known her since she was a little girl.

Although Rhiannon had stopped going to the company after her mother’s death, she started working in the company immediately after she graduated thus they knew what kind of a person she was. She had always loved her family even her stepmother and stepsister.

The more they looked at her, the more they felt she was so mysterious and couldn’t help but wonder whether the latter had been pretending or whether the fire had something to do with Mr Clark and his so-called family.

Nonetheless, they understood she had changed and vowed to never offend her.

The bodyguard picked up the chair with Mr Clark still seated on it and took him to the furthest corner. A place where Rhiannon couldn’t see his disgusting face. Seeing this, Rhiannon was surprised as she never expected that the bodyguards had understood what she meant.

Another hurriedly walked out while another sprayed the place where Mr Clark had been seated previously. Although the chair wasn’t there, they felt that their young madam wasn’t supposed to stay in a place where there was her enemy’s smell or anything to do with him.

A chair was brought and everyone could see that it was brand new making them speechless. Even Rhiannon was among them.

She praised the bodyguards in her heart.

She walked over and sat down, her lawyer sat at her right hand.

“We can now begin his meeting,” she said coldly as she looked at Kaylee who was seated on her left.

Kaylee lowered her head when she met Rhiannon’s eyes. She cursed at Rhiannon as she vowed that she would deal with her later.

“The company’s image has changed and the profits aren’t as they were when my mother was still alive,” Rhiannon stated as she understood the company just as they did since she had always paid close attention to it since she discovered that her mother was the company’s founder member and that she had the majority shares and would be the future boss.

She had made plans to return the company to its peak thus she started working in the company. She had tried making changes but every time she proposed something her father would refuse. Now, she felt that since she was the president, it was high time she implemented her plans as she didn’t think that anyone would dare oppose her.

“I want to make some changes here and there thus I hope that you will all cooperate as we all want the same thing, for the company to return to its peak,” she said making the shareholders nodding their heads and agreeing with her.

Seeing this, Rhiannon smiled before her eyes turned cold.

“The first thing I am doing is provoke Kaylee’s status as the manager of designing department.
