Chapter 16

None of them expected that Rhiannon would dare chase them away from the company.

Although she seemed heartless, they still thought that she was faking it and that she would curry favor with them later on. At the same, they knew that if Rhiannon remembered the conversation before they tried killing her, she would never let her go.

“How dare she! How does she think she is?” Kaylee asked angrily.

“She is our boss, the resident of this company. Now, can both of you get out of here before I call my colleagues to come and take you out?” The guard said coldly as he just wanted to see Kaylee might be humiliated and embarrassed.

“You! I will make sure you get fired by Daddy tomorrow, you just wait!” she said before taking her bag and leaving while storming her feet.

Aoran looked at the departing figure with a bit of loneliness and at the same time competent as he wondered how he felt in love with such a stupid woman.

“Sir?”

“Sorry. I am leaving,” he said to the guard before leaving.

When the workers saw that the security guard behind her had escorted out Kaylee, they gave her mocking faces and then laughed immediately after she walked out.

“Finally! I can breathe fresh air.”

“I just saw the other miss. She is so beautiful when she dolls up.”

“I heard that our president is the eldest miss. She has changed so much in just a couple of days.”

“How can she not change when someone announces that you are dead and covet everything that belongs to you?” But I am relieved that she has now woken up and won’t be used by that evil woman,” another said making the others nod their heads.

They have all been working with the two and they knew how different they were. One of caring, hardworking, and never received recognition for what she did while the other was arrogant and always took people’s work claiming that it belonged to her.

Who won’t want a kind and caring boss instead of a plagiarist?

They sighed as they hoped that now they had a new boss, they would have good days and everyone would be recognized through their hard work and talent.

Rhiannon arrived home and lazily laid on the couch.

Octavius who was descending frowned when he saw her behavior.

“You are now a married woman, also, you are from the high class, is this how you should behave?” he asked coldly making Rhiannon who had just closed her eyes open them and glance at him.

“What’s wrong lying here when am tired? Let me rest then I will wake up after an hour,” she said before closing her eyes once more.

“No! Stand up and go to your room. At least freshen up since you have been out and am sure that you are full of sweat,” he replied.

This made Rhiannon know that if she didn’t leave the living room, she wouldn’t be able to get some rest thus she did as told.

The butler watched the scene and sighed.

He knew that his young master was a clean freak but didn’t understand why he didn’t let the young madam have some rest before going to her room as a servant, he felt that he was unworthy to ask his master the question thus he could only go back to the kitchen.

Although Rhiannon had been married to Octavius and seemed that they got along, she knew that if she messed up or did what she wasn’t told or didn’t do what she was told, she would be in trouble.

She had always been afraid of her dad since the death of her mother but now, she was most afraid of what her husband will do to her or say. To be on the safe side, she did as told and vowed that she would make sure that she was never caught red-handed.

After taking a bath, she laid down but didn’t expect to fall into a deep slumber.

At the Clarks' residence.

“Dad, you have to punish that bitch for me!” Kaylee said as soon as she walked into the house.

Upon hearing her voice, Mr. Clark who was sipping tea after being calmed down by his wife frowned before his eyes flashed a malicious glint before it turned cold.

“Maybe you are the one who should be taught a lesson!” he replied to her coldly.

“Dad, I know what I did was wrong but I didn’t want that bitch to get what she wants. Why should we follow her every command as if we are her servants?” Kaylee asked as she was displeased with her father taking Rhiannon’s side.

She walked into the living room and sat at the farthest end from her father as she was afraid of what he might do to her. She could only sit there to avoid suffering.

“A servant? Do you know that although she has given me the CEO seat I have no power in the company? Every decision I make will have to pass through her! If only you approved of my request!” Mr Clark explained calmly but no one got to tell that he was trying his best to control his anger.

“Dad! I won’t give you the shares! They are now mine. There is no way that I will be inferior to Rhiannon. Also Dad, do you know that I have been chased out of the company? Everyone now is laughing at me. The only reason the security guard even gave me some respect was because I was a shareholder. How can I give them to you when that is the only thing that can make those people respect me?” she said calmly and softly but her underline words seemed to have carried some threat.

“You bastard! I should I given them to you if I knew what kind of a people you are! At least Rhiannon gave me a position in the company since I am her father but you, what have you ever done for me? What good deed have you?” he asked as he threw the cup he had just emptied to her.

“I always thought that you are better than Rhiannon but it seems that I was mistaken,” he said to himself as he looked at the girl in front of her in disappointment.

After what happened today, he understood what Rhiannon had always felt when her things were snatched by Kaylee when they were children but every time Rhiannon complained, he would slap her and at the same time tell her that she should learn to share with her sister.

“Are you going to return those shares to me?” he asked.

“Dad, I have already said that it is a no! I want always to attend those meetings so that I can see what Rhiannon’s next plans are and if she manages the company well,” she replied causing the man to sigh.

“Do you think that Rhiannon is as stupid as you who can’t even draw a signal design or even go out there and strike a deal with clients,” Mr Clark told her as his eyes showed what he was thinking and what was in his heart.

“Dad, how can you say that? Don’t you trust me enough? I promise you that I will ruin that girl and take the company back to me!?”
