Lying down, a two blurry familiar figure is in front of my view. I feel calm and at peace seeing them.
"Honey... Honey... Wake uppp."
"Wakey, Wakey Papa."
The warmth I feel from hearing them. Was I having a bad nightmare the whole time? I tried reaching them with my right arm. Trying to grasp their face with my hands. Family...
"Kugh!"
Something soft hits my abdomen . My vision opens and I see a person in a gown with black hair rubbing their face into my chest.
"Keewwww!"
My fist collides with the person's head. Knocking her out. She rolls out of my bed, falling onto the floor, rubbing her head.
"Master is so mean!"
"You clingy brat"
I pinch her cheeks. Her eyes gets a little watery. She angrily tries to scratch me with her claws, lying down.
"Grrr, Vivi wants to smell master."
"Get back to training"
"Don't wanna!"
She crosses her arms and puffs her cheeks. Making a disobedient stance to not cooperate. Let's see if she'll fall for this.
"How about this? If you win in your spar, I'll pat your head?"
Her eye's glitter. Shining brighter than the sun's ray. It almost makes me wanna look away from how optimistic she became after I said that.
"Really?!"
"Yes, really."
"Okay! Vivi will win!"
Vivi sprints out my room. I go grab some milk for Eris who was awake that whole time. Why isn't she crying like any usually baby? Her eyes spark of curiosity more than randoms weeping. I look to where she's looking at. Her eyes align to my hair which is glittering in the sun's ray through the window.
"Do you want to touch Dada's hair?"
She makes a happy babble. I lean in for her to reach my hair, it shadow over her. Leaving my hair next to her side. She hugs it. I've never seen such a affectionate baby. I feel slightly gloomy due to a thought in my head. Rudeus would've loved a sister like her.
"Eris let's go see them train."
I put the bottle in her mouth as I stroll over there.
The cold winter fog rises. In the mountains, nine little disciples are present in the training grounds.
"HAIYAH!"
Grunts and shouting can be heard. Metal clashing each other in the mountains. Two figures can be seen fighting amongst themselves. One is on aggressive offense swinging like a mad man and the other only defends and swings overboard. The sword parries and a metal war axe flies into the air.
"Damn it!"
"It's your loss, Jack," Spoke Ashlyn
Ashlyn gives a hand for Jack to stand back up. A man with wings approaches them.
"Jack, you're all brawn's over brains, you're making a mess in the training grounds. Focus on predictability and counters more. And Ashlyn."
"Yes?"
"Cut back on your maniac spree, you look like a dog with rabies."
"Okay.." As she said signing off.
While Adam is criticizing. Eugene is teaching Eduardo, and Aiden how to control their elements. In this world there are four primary elements: Water, Air, Fire, Earth. There can be elements derived off them. Such as light which Aiden has. There are some types of magic such as spirit magic. Spirit magic comes from spirits. Spirits can't be seen with the normal eye but are everywhere where nature is at it's truest form. They all come from primordial spirits; Spirits that roamed the world of Oterria. When life flourishes, spirits are born. Eduardo has a high affinity with them. Usually elves and dark elves are only able to wield spirit magic. Eduardo is an outlier, possessing immense spirit magic. Though none of us know how to control it, only Eugene can just give simple advice but not full fledged answers to this phenomenon. Jack has zero element altitude. Ashlyn has ice affinity but prefers the sword more. The crown prince, Persius possesses triple magic affinity with lightning, air, and water, quite a deadly combo, however he focuses on his spear training back in his royal training days. Rhea, The twins, and Fate's magic are unknown but I can sense outer worldly powers within them. That's why I pushed them to try and use it. It'll be better for them to focus on combat if I can't force the potential.
In another section a reptile beast man and golden eye human fight. One is casts magic while one wields a great sword beyond his size.
Each magic is chanted without words. And the degree of magic is unbelievable. One could say she is a prodigy but has the wrong goal. Magic homes to the great sword user.
"If I win this, Master will pat my head." Vivi slightly drooling from the mouth from imagining the scenery with me.
She proceeds to increase the amount of projectiles being casted. Each projectile are being parried or slightly directed to another area.
"ARGHHHHH"
Fate angerily shouts and throws his greatsword without a damn in the world at Vivi and proceeds to rush at her. Slightly caught off the guard, the blade edges near Vivi's face. Slicing through her. Magic mist fades away and Vivi appears behind Fate. She puts a magic blade near Fate and Fate resigns.
"Winner, Vivi," Eugene announced
"Yay! Vivi wins! Master shall pet me!"
I get up from my chair and get out of the shadow and head to Vivi is with a smile. In an instance, I feel heavily killing intent towards me.
"Master, move!"
A cold metal object is shoved through my chest. I glance behind me, It's Adam. Everyone direct their attention to me and him.
"MASTER!" Vivi and Jack shouted. Charging towards my direction.
"STOPP!" I demanded.
I can see Adam's eyes are in a abnormal stasis. Having a red error in his iris, similar to when he was under the goddess's oath. I can tell he's trying to fight it when the excessive bleeding from the eye. I used my magic to lessen the effect while clutching my chest. Adam slightly starts to resist his restrictions, pulling the sword out of me, dropping the sword and kneeling down to show he truly means no harm.
"Forgive me."
"It's fine," I said
Adam twitching arms start to move to his eyes.
*Splat*
He rips one of eyeballs.
*Splat*
Another one removed.
*Splat, splat*
All removed. Eyes profusely bleeding. I stop the bleeding with my powers.
"It's a command from my former goddess, Lilith. I cannot disobey it by any means and must follow the absolute orders. There's a atom sized amount divinity of her left in me which is why I was forced to attack you," He explained
"I'm sure when I converted you, there shouldn't be any divinity left. Very well. I understand your situation, It was a minor injury."
"Thank you, you can punish me for causing havoc in the training grounds" He offered
"Nonsense, it was that goddess who did this. We will have our revenge on her. Everyone back to your tasks."
Everyone resumed. I healed back the wound but it left a minor scar. Before his attacks didn't scar me, It just be the goddess power that pierced through me.
I felt a felt chill from space. Like a chill of enjoying me being injured. I'm sure the goddess used her powers personally on me. I clench my fists together and look up to space. I'll pay this incident ten folds when I find a way to reach you. Wait for your turn
