Tim's life is in ruins after being scammed by his girlfriend Tess and her parents, who marry her off to a rich sponsor. Alone and unable to afford his sick mother's treatment, Tim is desperate.



A worm parasite burrows into his skin, giving him extraordinary powers. In a world plagued by alien monsters called Virex, Tim dreams of joining the elite Vanguard guards but can't afford it.
