Early in the morning at Professor Oak's lab, Adrian awoke refreshed and ready to start his journey. He dressed in the clothes he wore when he first arrived in this world, setting aside the more casual attire he had worn while living and working at the laboratory. Today marked the beginning of his adventure.
As Adrian left his room, he noticed Professor Oak, his grandson Gary, and a woman engaged in conversation around his Pokémon. The woman was none other than Professor Oak's granddaughter, Daisy Oak. Adrian was struck by her beauty, and as their eyes met, Daisy blushed and looked away. While Professor Oak seemed oblivious to the exchange, Gary was quick to notice.
"Ah, Adrian, meet my granddaughter Daisy. She's a Pokémon groomer. Daisy, this is Adrian, the trainer of the Pokémon you're holding, and he's also quite talented," Professor Oak introduced.
"Nice to meet you, Daisy. I'm Adrian," he said, extending his hand for a handshake.
Daisy shook his hand with a warm smile. "Nice to meet you, Adrian. Your Pokémon are impressive. Perhaps we could share some tea and exchange information sometime."
Adrian replied with a charming smile, "It would be a pleasure to spend time with such a lovely lady."
Gary, who admired both his sister and Adrian, was thrilled by the prospect of their interaction. Professor Oak, however, seemed focused on other matters.
Adrian turned to Professor Oak. "I think I'm ready to begin my journey."
Professor Oak sighed. "I knew this day would come. I'll have to manage the lab on my own now."
"If you prefer, I can postpone my departure until next month," Adrian offered.
"No need," Professor Oak responded. "You've made up your mind."
Gary, puzzled, asked, "Big brother Adrian, are you leaving?"
"Yes, Gary. Adrian is starting his journey to participate in the Indigo League," Professor Oak explained.
Gary's eyes lit up. "So even big brother Adrian will be in the League? That's awesome! Once I get my first Pokémon and start my journey, I'll be able to battle you!"
Professor Oak chuckled. "You still have to wait a month to get your Pokémon."
"No worries. I'll battle you in the League," Gary said confidently.
Despite his youthful bravado, Gary's enthusiasm was evident. Daisy, who rarely saw her brother so impressed by someone, found herself intrigued by Adrian.
"Alright, Gary. If we cross paths at the Indigo League, I'll look forward to the battle. Until then, focus on becoming strong with your Pokémon," Adrian advised.
Gary nodded, taking Adrian's words to heart.
Professor Oak returned with an ID card, six Pokéballs, and a badge case. "Here you go, Adrian. Your trainer ID and supplies."
As Adrian prepared to leave, he said his goodbyes. "Thank you all. I'll make sure to catch some rare Pokémon and keep in touch."
"Take care, Adrian. Catch some rare Pokémon and send me updates," Professor Oak said.
"Wait for me, big brother Adrian! I'll meet you at the Indigo League," Gary called out.
Daisy added, "Take care, Adrian. I hope we get a chance to spend some time together in the future."
Adrian smiled. "Thank you, everyone. I'm off now."
With a final wave, Adrian set out on his journey. His first destination was Viridian Forest, where he planned to catch and train Pokémon for future battles, starting with Brock, the Gym Leader of Pewter City.
By noon, Adrian was walking alone on the road to Viridian Forest.
"System, how much longer until we reach the forest?" he inquired.
"Host will arrive at Viridian Forest in one day," the system replied.
"A day, huh? Looks like I need to find a place to camp for the night," Adrian thought.
After walking for four hours, Adrian arrived at a picturesque riverbed and decided to set up camp there.
"This spot is perfect. The Pokémon can relax here too," he mused.
He released Bulbasaur and Magikarp, with Chimchar joining them. As they played near the water, Adrian set up his tent.
Once the camp was ready, Adrian sat by the river, watching his Pokémon enjoy themselves. Bulbasaur attempted to drag Chimchar into the water, only for Chimchar to dart away playfully. Suddenly, the cries of Spearow filled the air. Adrian looked up to see a group of Spearow harassing a Pidgey.
Without hesitation, Adrian commanded, "Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf. Chimchar, use Fire Spin!"
Bulbasaur's Razor Leaves, engulfed by Chimchar's Fire Spin, struck the Spearow, causing them to scatter in fear. The Pidgey, however, began to fall.
"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip to catch the Pidgey and lower it gently," Adrian directed.
Bulbasaur carefully lowered the injured Pidgey to the ground. Adrian quickly applied a healing spray to the Pidgey's wounded wing, wrapped it in a bandage, and gave it some medicine. The Pidgey closed its eyes and drifted off to sleep.
As the sun began to set, Adrian fed his Pokémon and returned them to their Pokéballs. He enjoyed a meal and prepared for a good night's rest, ready to continue his journey the next day.
