LIAM

As Dad stepped into the living room, his voice filled with amusement.

"I heard Ines was kicked out as the CEO of SAS," he announced, settling into his favorite armchair.

I barely lifted my eyes from my iPad, sparing him only a brief glance before shifting my attention back to my phone. Whatever drama the Brandwiths had going on was none of my concern. I had enough on my plate already.

"I thought we were done with the Brandwiths," I muttered, my fingers scrolling mindlessly across the screen. "Why are you bringing up their issues now?"

Dad didn't seem fazed by my disinterest. If anything, he seemed to enjoy keeping me on edge. A knowing chuckle escaped his lips as he crossed one leg over the other, reaching for the freshly brewed coffee the house staff had just set down beside him.

"You might want to hear this," he mused, his tone teasing. "You'll be quite intrigued by who took over after becoming the largest shareholder."
