"For real! How am I supposed to believe this? If you said all of this was orchestrated by that old wo—uh, ahem—I might believe it. But if you claim it has nothing to do with her, then I don't get it. Who has the power to throw you out of Gensokyo?"
Remilia stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Sakuya. She didn't doubt Sakuya's loyalty, but come on, don't treat me like a fool. No one would fall for a joke like this.
"This… but… Alexander, he…" Sakuya felt wronged and frustrated. "Where did that guy Alexander go? If it weren't for him running around causing trouble, how could I have ended up in this mess!"
Sakuya fell silent, visibly exasperated. Seeing this, Remilia grinned, stretched out her small hand, patted Sakuya's shoulder, and assumed a smug, old-fashioned posture.
Looking at the proud expression on her mistress's face, Sakuya sighed helplessly. 'Sigh… the lady's grown up. She's becoming harder to handle.'
"Alright, let's go. It's time to bring my sister her meal. Otherwise, she'll throw a fit."
Despite her pride, Remilia adored her sister. But still, this was Gensokyo. She wasn't ignorant of the challenges they faced.
There was that one time… when she lost her mind and tried to conquer Gensokyo by blanketing it in a red mist. She actually managed to cover the entire land. For a brief moment, it seemed like victory was in her grasp.
Then...
She was swiftly 'educated' by all sorts of powerful beings.
There was the crazy woman from the sunflower field, the ancient one from the Lost House, and that overly righteous shrine maiden from the Hakurei Shrine. None of them were ordinary.
In the end, she had no choice but to keep a low profile. Not only could she not harm anyone, but she also had to ensure her sister behaved. Even the two vampires in her household had to venture out into the human world to buy blood bags for sustenance.
'Ugh…'
Could there be vampires worse off than us?
Hearing Remilia's lament, Sakuya sighed quietly. She picked up the tray with black tea and cake, then followed Remilia toward the basement.
When they reached the basement door, Remilia was about to open it, but just as she touched the handle, she heard a voice from inside.
"Big brother… big brother… where are you? Why can't Fran find you?"
'Big brother?'
Remilia froze, puzzled. 'Who is Fran calling?' She didn't recall her sister having any brothers.
Meanwhile, Sakuya seemed to realize something, but she remained silent, unsure.
Suddenly, Fran's voice echoed from the basement again.
"I got it! I got it! Fran caught you!"
The moment Little Fran's excited voice echoed, Remilia felt a pang of sadness. Her sister… so pitiful. Reduced to this, locked in illusions, playing games all alone. Truly heartbreaking.
However, suddenly, a man's voice emerged from the basement.
"Alright, Little Fran, you win."
'Whoosh!'
Remilia's expression changed instantly. A 'man's voice'? Impossible! This wasn't good!
"Fran!"
'Boom!'
Remilia kicked the basement door open with force. What she saw made her freeze. Her sister, blindfolded, was hugging a young man tightly with both arms!
"Aah!"
Hearing Remilia's voice, Little Fran removed her blindfold and looked toward the doorway. Seeing Remilia and Sakuya, she shouted excitedly,
"Sister! You're here too! Let's play together, okay?"
Sitting comfortably in Alexander's arms, Little Fran waved enthusiastically at Remilia. But Remilia was livid, her face darkening.
"Who are you?! Let go of my sister 'right now'!"
"Oh." Alexander let go silently… only to discover that Fran clung to him like a koala, as if afraid he would disappear the moment she released him.
This made Remilia even angrier.
"Fran has never hugged 'me' like that! Ugh! This is so unfair!"
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore!
'Whoosh!' Remilia appeared beside Alexander, attempting to pull Little Fran away. But Fran only held on tighter, her grip like iron.
"Fran, let go!"
"No way! I caught him fair and square! Now it's time for Big Brother to catch me! If I let go, he'll vanish again!"
"Fran!!!" Remilia's frustration mounted. 'Silly little sister! How could you be so easily deceived?!'
And as for 'this pervert who lied to my sister…' Who the hell 'is' he?!
