"Haha, die here? Your words are truly laughable."
Kaguya, the more assertive of the two sisters, smirked as she looked at Alexander standing before her. To her, he was no threat at all.
The thought that this man believed he could kill both her and Yuzuru was absurd. She scoffed, raising her hand with an air of confidence. "Enough. Let me deal with you swiftly."
Kaguya waved her hand, summoning a massive storm that barreled toward Alexander. However, as the fierce winds approached, Alexander remained rooted in place, completely unbothered. To Kaguya's shock, the storm dissipated the moment it reached him, vanishing as though it had never existed.
The power Alexander possessed—Melqart's divine power—rendered such attacks utterly ineffective.
"Alright," Alexander said, cracking his knuckles. "It's my turn now."
'Crackle!'
A surge of blue-white lightning arced from Alexander's fingertips, racing toward Kaguya with terrifying speed.
'Boom!'
In an instant, Kaguya conjured a wind shield to block the attack. The thunder struck the barrier with ferocity, creating an explosion of sound and light.
'Boom! Boom!'
The wind shield trembled under the onslaught before shattering completely. The next bolt of lightning grazed Kaguya's ear, so close she could feel its heat.
"This… this power…" she muttered, her voice tinged with disbelief. Her defenses had been utterly useless.
But Alexander didn't give her time to recover. He raised his hand again, summoning another lightning strike.
"Careful!"
'Clang!'
A thick chain shot forward, wrapping around Kaguya and pulling her to safety just as the thunderbolt struck where she had stood. Startled but grateful, Kaguya turned to Yuzuru, who was standing nearby.
"Thank you…" she said hesitantly, clearly unused to expressing gratitude.
"There is no need," Yuzuru replied calmly. "Kaguya and Yuzuru should join forces. The opponent is powerful."
Kaguya, now realizing the gravity of the situation, nodded. "Alright, we'll put aside our fight for now—at least until we've defeated him." She raised her spear, her expression serious as she faced Alexander.
Alexander, watching the sisters, chuckled softly.
Sure enough, he thought, the two sisters deeply care for one another. According to his memory, their so-called duels were never for their own benefit. Each sister wanted the other to survive, even at the cost of her own life. Their hostility was a facade, a way to ease the burden on one another's hearts.
These two were endearing in their own way, but tragically, they didn't understand each other's feelings. Alexander decided he would make them realize this truth through his actions.
"Come," he said, beckoning them with a smirk. "Both of you—together."
Provoked by Alexander's arrogance, the sisters sprang into action.
"El Re'em!"
'Boom!'
Kaguya launched her attack, wind gathering at the tip of her spear. The concentrated force formed a devastating tornado, which tore through the air toward Alexander.
"An interesting attack," Alexander remarked.
He raised his hand, catching the tornado mid-air. The winds spun violently in his palm, but they couldn't cause even a fraction of damage. His flesh seemed impenetrable—like an unyielding shield.
"How… how is this possible?!" Kaguya exclaimed in horror. "The Penetrator's power should pierce anything!"
"El Na'ash!"
'Clang!'
A thick chain flew through the air, bypassing Kaguya to wrap itself around Alexander. Within seconds, the chain coiled tighter, binding him completely like a silkworm in its chrysalis.
"Good job, Yuzuru!" Kaguya exclaimed in relief, throwing her arms around her sister in a rare display of affection. However, realizing what she had done, she quickly let go, her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Ahem… well done," Kaguya muttered. "But even if you hadn't stepped in, I could've handled him myself."
"Rebuttal: If Yuzuru hadn't acted, Kaguya would likely have been killed," Yuzuru said matter-of-factly.
Hearing this, Kaguya's embarrassment deepened. She knew Yuzuru was right—her sister had saved her life.
As Kaguya glanced at Yuzuru, a thought crossed her mind: 'Yuzuru is the one who truly deserves to survive.'
