Thanatos: Brave New World

In the late twenty first century, a scientist began Project Warpgate- a device supposedly capable of ripping through the fabric of space for instantaneous movement, opening all sorts of doors. It was supposed to be revolutionary and help mitigate the cost of space exploration to a negligible level.

He succeeded, but the first gate didn't lead to its intended location, instead it opened a gate to the Otherside- a mysterious realm from which an alien species invaded the Earth. Humanity was pushed to the brink of destruction and the earth was almost uninhabitable due to frequent nuclear strikes.

But Humanity's greatest trait shone through in the midst of adversity- adaptablitity. Now in this era of might makes right, power was the most important commodity and some would do anything to get it...
