"Did you do it?" Angela asked Zayden, her voice trembling slightly as she stood in her therapeutic post. With a graceful flick of her wrist, she raised the arrow and shot it directly at the bullseye.
"Do what?" Zayden replied, his tone detached, lingering behind her.
"Shaun, did you kill Shaun?" Angela dropped her archer kit to the ground and turned to face him fully, her eyes searching for answers.
"Why would you assume I did such a thing?" he inquired, maintaining his cool, nonchalant posture despite the tremor he could hear in her own voice.
"You said you would fix things."
"And? I killed Shaun because I said I would fix things? Your behavior is not very aligned with your words, Angela. Did you not want anything to do with Shaun? Why does his death bother you so?"
