LXIV: Mistake Of A Daughter

Angela, feeling utterly bored, traversed the vast expanse of the mansion, seeking something to pique her interest. The past few weeks had been delightful, filled with adventures alongside Zara and Zayden. Yet, a nagging sensation whispered that this tranquility was merely the calm before an impending storm.

It was the weekend, and Henry had graciously granted Zayden a reprieve. Zara had gone out to the market with her mother, while her father had also stepped out, leaving Angela alone amidst the dullness of the mansion and its equally uninspiring maids.

"Ha…" she sighed, gazing up at the brilliant sun. "I should have concocted an excuse to go with him. What shall I do now?" With another sigh, she was startled by a knock on the balcony door, and moments later, Jacinta appeared.

"Here's your juice, milady," Jacinta announced, presenting a glass brimming with grape juice on a delicate tray.
