THE NUISANCE NEXT DOOR

After the event of last night, I started finding it difficult to face Jack and indeed he was something else

Driving into school together with Faith we saw Jack kissing one of the Conners of the school

It wasn't a new thing seeing Jack with some random girls in school and just like that I started feeling terrible as I glanced at them angrily, although I had feelings for Jack, he was a jerk

"Hey" Emily, let's get moving already; it seems like you're lost steering at Jack, Faith said as we moved into class.

Entering the classroom, which was still relatively empty, I took my seat before unpacking my books. Reading was my solace, and achieving good grades was my sole focus in school.

"Emily! Emily!" I heard my name, prompting a groan. This boy's sole purpose seems to be disrupting my life.

"What?" I responded, closing my book and turning to face him.

"Why did you give me the wrong number ?" he asked as if he were entitled to have my phone number.

"Because I don't want to talk to you! I've been telling you this since I started schooling hear, yet you persist in bothering me," I snapped. Yes, I may sound rude, but trust me, he's a real nuisance.

"Why are you so rude? And why do you dislike talking to people?" he inquired, taking a seat beside me. What did I do to deserve this?

"Kelvin, leave me alone," I muttered, then reopened my book.

"It's just a question," he insisted.

"Well, it's because you have a corrupt mindset. Your thoughts are polluted, and I don't have any time for this" I retorted.

Kelvin, just like Jack, is the epitome of a troublemaker, spoiled and rotten to the core. All he cares about is girls and I'm not really into that right now, he took it personal to disturb me insisting that he likes me

"I like you, and you know it. That's all I can think about, to be honest," he admitted.

"Okay," I replied, already exhausted from the conversation.

"Forget about your Big ass, I don't dwell on that. All I see is your beauty and how good we would look together," he continued.

Ok, fine, just let me be; I've heard enough. Can you please leave now?" I requested.

"Emily, I..."

Before he could finish, the school bell interrupted us, prompting me to stand up immediately.

"Just wait, Emily," he pleaded, but I rolled my eyes and walked out of the classroom. Boys and their dramas.

After class, Faith and I decided to study in the school library together with Jack.

"So, I'm just going to sit here and do nothing?" he quipped.

"Of course not ?" I retorted, feeling irritation creeping in.

"You're to read just like your mom assigned me to help you in your studies, I said as I started, flipping my notebook, but I don't think there's something in your brain, with that long hair of yours

 "Excuse me? " He responded.

"Yeah excuse you, "I restorted sarcastically

"Just open your book and start reading; I'll fill you in on what we've learned so far," I offered.

"Don't worry about that; I can always..." Jack was interrupted by Kelvin's sudden outburst.

"So you have been so hard to get, because of Jack

 right?

"Please Kelvin, don't start now, and I don't even like any of you that the funny aspect of it.

"Can you just stop Kelvin? You're here to read, and you're distracting us, Faith said, feeling irritated.

"But why are you talking to him like that?" Kelvin interrogated as if h

e had the right to question me.

"See, Kelvin, you disturbing us, just like my friend said. I'm not ready for any relationship so stay away from me? I rebuked him, feeling annoyed already.

After studying for some time, together with faith, we went home,e, assuring Jack that we were going to meet up later at home.

As I walked home with faith, I couldn't help but think about the day and how Kelvin made it unbearable for me. I just wanted to go home, relax, and forget about everything that happened today.

When I arrived home, I went straight to my room and took a deep breath as I remembered that I promised to tutor Jack later in the day, and I wasn't looking forward to it. but I had to help him anyway and I couldn't back out now

So I decided to rest for some time in my room, as the day was just perfect as I wanted, quietly perfect.

"I met him today again, Faith said as she entered my room, shutting the door loudly.

"Wow, I am so shocked," I replied sarcastically before reclining on my bed.

"Well, he only wanted to talk to me because but his just like you, very shy," she explained, smiling.

"And how did you feel about that?" I inquired.

"Happy, I think I am crushing on him," she confessed, her smile growing.

"Crushing on someone you just met?" I questioned.

"I said I have a crush on him. It's not that I like him; those are two different things," she clarified, surprising me with her distinction.

"Thank you for your correction," I added.

"You are boring, too," she teased before walking towards the door.

"You need to take it slowly, Bebe," I retorted, laughing.

After faith left my room, I approached the window and opened it, peering into jack's room, but he wasn't there. Thank goodness.

"Looking for me?" he asked, walking up to the window.

"No, I wasn't," I denied before proceeding to lay on my bed.

"You know, it would be better if you were nicer," he suggested, shaking his hands into his pockets.

"You don't get to tell me what to do," I asserted, lying on my bed and facing the other side. I didn't hear him speak again. Why wasn't he talking? I thought he was gone, only to turn and see him looking at my backside.

"Wait, what?" I asked, turning around immediately.

"What?" he asked innocently as if he hadn't just been staring at my backside.

"You know what you did," I accused.

"And you know that am not one of those girls that you can take to the toilet and do whatever you want," I pointed out.

"Which one of them, if I may ask?

"The new one in school, I replied feeling irritated.

"She is kind of nice and cool," he commented before turning to me. "Unlike you," he added.

"She is very beautiful," he observed.

"Well, that's your business," I replied.

"I think I like her."

His last words caught me off guard. Like what? That loose girl.
