Claire's POV
The horn of a car woke me up, and I jumped out of bed. I looked at the time it was 7:45, OMG I overslept. Emily and Ivy were already waiting for me downstairs they've been horning and since I didn't come out yet, they had to come into my house. I told them to leave for school without me, I didn't want to be reason they'd go late to school.
When they left, I wanted to just stay at home but then I remembered we had a math test so I had to go. I quickly showered, I didn't have time to eat my breakfast, so I just left without eating.
I went to the garage to get my car but for some reason the key to my car had just disappeared, I was already thinking I had offended someone because the level of this bad luck was definitely not normal. I decided to take a taxi, just as I got out of my house a car pulled in front of me. I was really surprised to see Eric,
Claire, I think it's better for you to hop in than stare. Eric said with a gorgeous smile that was always on his face. I didn't even realise I was staring at him. I quickly hoped in, and we reached school some minutes later. I checked the time it was already 8:15, shoot! we are late. I told Eric there's no need to worry. Eric said that it was nothing to be late, I could only sigh in frustration and walked hurriedly to class.
Biology class had already started, so I and Eric got a detention for being late to class. I felt like someone had shot me straight in my head. I hated detention, but Eric was just okay with it like it was a normal thing for him. This guy was definitely something else.
-------------
During recess, I met up with Emily and Ivy. Claire, what happened? Emily asked me, I was just so exhausted from the party that I overslept my reply made both of them burst out into laughter. What I asked with squeezed eyebrows, girl, you didn't even party at all. All you did was sat down at the balcony, and you call that partying they kept on laughing. I playfully threw Emily, my empty milk carton. The drooling of the girls in the cafeteria was so high that I had to turn back to see what was going on, just as I expected it was Eric. Tiffany was already waving to Eric to come and sit beside her she roughly pushed the girl beside her off the chair. I could only roll my eyes at them and turn back to focus on my food. Whoa Claire was with the attitude, Ivy asked me. She must have seen me when I rolled my eyes. Ohh nothing Ivy you know Tiffany irritates me I replied to her. I thought you were rolling your eyes at Eric.
Oh, it was at both of them, I said, but before Ivy could say anything, Eric came and sat with us. Hii, he said with the gorgeous smile that was 'always' on his face. Hey Eric, Emily answered him. Trust her she was the most extroverted among all of us. Ivy also answered him, but for some reason, I couldn't just say anything. I just kept looking at him. I guess Tiffany was angry that Eric had rejected her offer, and the next thing I felt was cold water running down through my body. Thepsychopath had emptied a full bottle of cold water on me. I was so shocked and very angry, I turned back to look at Tiffany she was already walking away, smirking.
What a psychopath!! Ivy exclaimed.
Oh no, she can't get away with this Emily said as she angrily got up and headed straight for Tiffany. Eric grabbed my hand and took me to the washroom, where he helped dry the water on my hair and my clothes.
Don't go for revenge, Eric said to me as he was drying the water. What? I didn't believe what I had just heard from him. How could he say I shouldn't go for revenge after what she did. I couldn't help but scoff.
Can you even hear yourself? I asked him out of disbelief.
Yes Claire, Eric said don't go for revenge, that is just like an enemy throwing grenade into your territory and you just keep smiling, and if I'm lucky enough might not get pneumonia I said almost raising my voice, I was already boiling in anger.
Claire, it's obvious Tiffany wants war with you and your revenge it's a starting point for it.
Well, Eric, Tiffany has always been my rival, we've never been friends, so technically, we're always at war. Eric just sighed and let go of the matter, I could see he didn't want to argue because I was still angry, and I might end up saying somethings ill regret later. We were just there in silence for some minutes, I'm done, Eric said, breaking the silence between us. Thank you, I said. He could only smile, I began to wonder if I made him angry, but I just shook the thought of my head. I shouldn't be so worried about him like that, I told myself.
Whenever you're ready daydreamer, Eric's voice brought me back to reality, I thought he had left the washroom, but I was really wrong. His handsome face was just staring at me, ohh sorry I got carried away I said to him. Got carried away by what he laughed as he said, "Let's go." If he had discovered I was just thinking about him, I would have died of embarrassment.
I later caught up with Emily, and she gave me full details of how she dealt with Tiffany. If you see her tomorrow with a black eye, don't be surprised, Emily said.
I just wonder why she would do such a thing, I mean, I know that she's a psycho but today's own was out of the ordinary, I said to Emily.
Common Claire isn't obvious she's jealous. She called Eric, but he went to sit with you. Don't say me he sat with all of us interrupted Emily. Emily just rolled eyes, oh Claire don't play dumb he sat with you even when there was clearly an open seat next to Ivy, he helped you dry your hair and your wet clothes so from my observations and theories you guys are gonna become a couple, soon Emily said smirking. I could only laugh. She was just really a talkative person. Hold on, how'd you know he followed me to the washroom? I asked Emily with a raised eyebrow. Well, just because I went off to deal with Tiffany doesn't mean I took my eyes off both of you. Emily was just always observant of her surroundings, so this didn't surprise me.

Detention room
Ugh!! I sighed out in frustration. the detention room was the last place I wanted to be right now. I just want to go home and jump on my cosy bed. I sat down and brought out a book with a black cover. Liam had gotten it for me as a gift. He knew I loved drawing a lot, so he got a book for drawing. I started drawing the detention room I was in.
Eric pulled a chair and sat down next to me. Oh wow, she didn't roll her eyes. That's a surprise Eric exclaimed. I looked at him surprisingly, I didn't know he saw me when I rolled my eyes at him in the cafeteria. It was kind of embarrassing, I didn't mean it that way, I told him, trying to clear the air. Oh, then what way did you mean it? Umm...I think...not the...way. I was just stammering and making a fool out odd myself. Eric burst out laughing, I'm just messing with you. Ohh I just said and continued drawing, I couldn't look at him, not after making a fool of myself.
What are you drawing? Eric asked as he glanced over my book. A torturing room, I answered him. Isn't this the detention room, like the room we're in right now?
Yea, you're right. Why are you calling it a torturing room? Eric asked, looking confused. Well, that's how I see it, I told him.
Let me see that, he took away the book and pencil from me. Now don't move.
Hold, are you drawing me? I said, "Don't move he said, smiling.
Okay, guys, detention is over. Be on your best behaviour. If you don't wanna end up here again said the teacher who was in charge of watching us detained students.
Eric closed the book and gave it back to me along with the pencil. Don't open it until you're home, he said. Umm... okay, I didn't take it as anything.
Want me to drop you home? Eric asked as we walked out of the classroom, nah thanks but I'll be fine. I knew Emily and Ivy would've gone home, so following Eric would've been a good idea, but didn't I want that.
Umm... I was just being polite, not giving an option, duh. Eric said as he grabbed my hand and headed towards the school exit. What, but I said it's okay. I don't need your help. I tried protesting, but it seemed like he was deaf. I just rolled my eyes. What a bossy boy.
Keep rolling your eyes like that, and you're gonna get dizzy. Eric said as he looked at me. What is with this guy? How does he keep seeing me!!
The drive home was awkwardly silent, and I really wanted it to remain that way, but my hopes were dashed against the wall pretty hard.
Why we're you late for school today?
The same question goes for you. I answered him with a very good comeback and smiled like I had just fulfilled the most important dream I had.
He just looked at me and smirked. Oh God, I hate that perfect smirk on his face right now.
Okay, well, I had to do some things, why were you late he asked again. Ugh, I see what he did. I couldn't avoid the question anymore. I also had to do some things I replied him, there's no way I'm gonna tell him I woke up late. That would just change how he sees me.
Oh wow, somebody has been learning imitation, Eric said sarcastically. What, I'm not copying you, I was only telling you my own reason.
Really, Eric said with a very sarcastic look.
Whatever, I had finally reached my house, and that was the best feeling ever.
Okay bye, I said to Eric as I just wanted to get down and leave, but the door was locked. Eric, the door is locked. Could you unlock it?
Yea, I'll after you answer my question
Which is? I asked, already getting impatient because I really wanted to leave.
Are you going to the beach with me on friday, You thought I forgot, didn't you?
Omg, how in the world did he remember that even I didn't remember, and for some reason, I knew I couldn't avoid it. What if I say no? I asked to try my luck if it would work.
Then you can just call your parents and tell them you won't be coming home tonight.
What?!, fine, I'll go with you I said. Eric just smiled. He should count himself lucky that I didn't rip out his throat. He finally unlocked the door, and I just got out immediately, I didn't want to stick around for any chit-chat.
