OUR STRONG BOND

'My King' The chief guard's assistant said stopping the announcer from cutting open Princess Polami's wrist. 'What is it?' The King asked. Two masked women were presented before him. 'Who are they?' The King asked. The assistant of the chief guard unmasked them and saw that one of them was Sayee and the other was his daughter Carmella. 'What is this?' The King asked again. 'My King we saw them sneaking into Princess Sonya and Hanta's room earlier.

The King pretended not to be impressed and said 'So you both have become palace thieves, ha?' The King asked. 'No, father it is not what you think' Carmella said. 'Oh shut up, I had a nitwit as a first-child now a thief as the other, I am ashamed of you both' The King replied. 'My King it s not what you think' Sayee said too trying to seek pardon from him. 'Guard, bring me the sword' The King commanded. The crowd gasped at the King's decision. The attention diverted from Polami to the prosecutors. Soon the sword was brought. 'All thieves must be punished by the law' The King said.

He raised the sword and planned to cut off Carmella's head. Immediately Carmella's tears dropped on the tiled floor with slow-motion, Princess Polami had no other option that to drag the dagger from the announcer's hand and threw it to the King's right wrist, which pierced through it. 'Run!!!' Princess Polami issued as Sayee and Carmella broke loose and ran for their lives.

The sword dropped from the King's arm and unto the floor. When the crowd became stunned by the melo-drama that just happened, the King ordered his guards to run after them. The number of guards that went after Sayee, Princess Polami and Carmella were ten.

Princess Polami, Carmella and Sayee ran into the forest and into a cave. They tore their dresses to enable them run effectively. 'Where are they?' one of the guards asked. 'Everyone scatter, they haven't gone far' The chief guard replied. Princess Carmella, Pomila and Sayee were panting seriously. 'What-do-do-do-we-do?' Princess Pomila asked. 'We can't keep running forever, you heard what they said, they are scattered and sooner or later they will find us' Princess Carmella replied. 'So what do we do now?' Sayee asked. Princess Carmella looked around the cave and saw some crystals. She tied them to some sticks and made some for her sister and her maid Sayee.

'Look for them, I want them dead or alive' The chief guard said. 'Or should we go with option A on you?' Princess Carmella asked standing behind the chief guard. 'Boys!' he exclaimed calling them to assemble but there was complete silence. 'Oh, don't worry, we handled them pretty good, better than you would have handled us' Princess Polami replied. 'Oh so you think you can threaten me?' The guard asked. 'Na, we ain't threatening... we acting' Sayee replied...

...'How is the King doing?' The queen asked the royal healer. 'Not any better' the healer replied. 'What do you mean?' the queen asked. The healer took the queen outside the King's room. 'So what do you mean by he is not getting any better? I thought you were the best in the whole of the twelve kingdoms?' the queen asked with concern in her voice. 'I am and still but...' the healer was cut off by the queen 'Why can't you cure the King?'. 'He can only be cured by the Orizari flower' The healer replied. 'The Orizari flower? but it grows in the middle of the cursed desert sands and no one mortal can survive out there' the queen asked and answered her own question.

'I will give him some treatments for now, but bear in mind he has three weeks to live' the healer said this and left. The queen was worried. She was not ready to become a widow, not now at least. She enters the room and sits beside the King her husband. 'What did the (coughs)...' he could not complete his statement because of the series of cough that hindered him from uttering a single word to his wife.

'You will be fine, just have some rest' the queen said. 'I...' immediately one of the maidens barged into the room. 'My queen, the chief guard has returned' the maid said. 'How dare you barge int....' she was interrupted by the King. 'Where is he?' the king asked managing to speak.

'He is in the courtroom' the maid replied. 'Did he come with the princesses and the maid?' the King asked. 'No he came alone' the maid said this with her head still bowed. 'It's ok you may leave' the queen commanded as the maid left immediately. 'Take m to him' the King said.

'But my King, you are not well, how c...' she was interrupted by the King. 'Take me there now, I am not wasting a freaking second in this room' he said.

IN THE COURT-ROOM

The chief guard's balls was cut of, one of his eyes removed his two legs amputated and his fingers mashed. The floor was drooling with blood. 'What happened to you?' the queen asked. 'It was the princesses and their maid that did this to me' the chief guard replied. 'Where were your boys when this happened?' the King asked. 'They killed all of them' the chief guard replied.

'This is unbelievable' the King said. 'I think we might have under estimated them by sending ten guards, just look at what they did to the strongest man in the entire kingdom?' the King said. 'We need to send more re-enforcements, meanwhile get the royal healer to heal his wounds, he has fought as a valiant lion he is' the King commanded. The maidens took the chief guard away from the presence of the King.

'What do we do now?' The queen asked. 'I'll think about that later' the king replied walking towards his room with the support of some maidens leaving the confused queen behind in the court room. She decided to follow because she had nothing doing in the court room anyways.
