"Ye- yes, I'm alright for now," I managed to say, though my heart was still pounding in my chest as fear surged through my veins. I could still feel the cold edge of her claw teasing my skin, and I knew how easy it would have been for her to tear my throat open. But then, in an instant, Sebastian was there, his presence a storm of anger and authority.
Sebastian’s eyes blazed with fury, his body tense, ready to shift again if necessary. “You dare attack another student? Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”
“It was just a joke,” the girl stammered, her voice trembling. “I didn’t mean to hurt her.”
Sebastian’s eyes narrowed. “A joke? Pressing your claws against her throat is a joke to you? This is beyond unacceptable.”
The girl, Emma, shrank back, her bravado crumbling under Sebastian’s intense glare. “I—I didn’t think…”
