Chapter 37: Exposed

Evelyn’s POV

I stood there frozen in place, my heart pounding in my chest as I locked eyes with Hannah. Her gaze bore into mine, and I could see the satisfaction in her eyes. Finally, after all this time, she had me in the palm of her hand once again.  Behind her, the other she-wolves fanned out, forming a barrier that sealed off any route of escape. My mind screamed at me to run, to flee from the college and vanish into the wilderness where no one could find me. But deep down, I knew it was hopeless.

Without the ability to transform into a wolf, I was no match for the warriors who surrounded me. I couldn't match them in strength or speed, and even if by some miracle I got away from them, how would I escape the hundreds of warriors that now surrounded the school?

The rogue beside me, the one who had dragged me into this nightmare, was already backing away, his face twisted in panic. He knew, just as I did, that there was no escaping this.
