I remembered that some time ago, I was hospitalized for treatment but didn't bring enough change of clothes. I sent Olivia a message, hoping she could bring some for me and come see me at the same time.

But she didn't believe me and even cursed at me for being addicted to acting and making a fuss again.

Unexpectedly, Henry brought the things to me a while later. I was a little pleasantly surprised and asked if Olivia had sent him.

But he was evasive. Seeing him like this, I guessed he must have been nearby when I called and decided to make the trip for me on his own.

He chatted with me for a long time and asked me why I was hospitalized. I just laughed it off and didn't tell him the truth.

He went out for a bit in the middle, and when he came back, his eyes were red. I figured he must have found out the truth then.

It was ridiculous. Olivia, whom I personally informed, didn't believe me, while Henry, from whom I tried my best to hide it, found out about my condition on his own.

Perhaps Olivia had never cared about me at all.

Olivia pushed away Henry's fingers with one hand, her face distorted with anger.

"Did you two agree to come make trouble together? I'm just taking care of injured Liam for a few days, and you're all acting like Ethan is about to die!"

"I know he's hiding in the back watching the show. He just wants to use you to get me to leave and go look for him, right? Fine! I promise you, I'll go as soon as Liam is discharged from the hospital. Is that enough? What else are you dissatisfied with?"

Olivia said mockingly.

Upon hearing this, Henry was so angry that he lost his mind. He violently slammed Olivia, who was fastidiously tidying her clothes, against the wall.

He wished he could stab this cold-blooded woman to death.

"Satisfied? Have you seen Ethan's corpse? Do you know what he was burned into? You're going to find him? He's already dead. Where are you going to find him?!"

Seeing that Henry was about to hit Olivia, Liam, who had been pale-faced the whole time, became anxious.

He rushed over and hugged Olivia in his arms, taking the punch head-on.

He let out a groan, his entire head covered in cold sweat from the pain.

"Liv, it's all my fault for being so useless, wasting so many days of your time keeping me company in the hospital and delaying you from going to find Ethan. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gotten your mother and assistant to call you back."

Henry was a little worried he had hit too hard, but hearing these words, he went crazy and gave Liam, this pretentious pretty boy, a kick, roaring:

"You bastard, you're still acting at a time like this!"

"Do you know, when we found Ethan's body, he was mixed in with the burned trees, and it took the firefighters an entire afternoon to pick him out in one piece!"

Thinking of my miserable death, Henry couldn't take it anymore. He fell to his knees, wailing and crying.

My mother-in-law was also crying so hard she could barely breathe. Only Olivia remained calm.

She helped Liam back to the bed. When she turned around again, her eyes were cold and resolute.

"Henry Zhang, I'm warning you to be clear about your identity. Also, you apologize to Liam right now!"

"What are you crying about! Acting so realistically, how much money can that loser Ethan give you?"

With that, she picked up Liam's phone and said with disgust, "Look at how your good buddy Ethan talks about Liam in private. If he's dead, did a ghost send these voice messages?"

Saying that, she opened up the string of voice messages.

All that could be heard was "me" inside cursing at Liam, saying he would definitely be punished for seducing someone else's wife.

"I" even threatened Liam, saying if he didn't roll back overseas, I would find someone to kill him.

But that couldn't possibly be my voice. Not to mention the fact that I was already dead, just the weird intonation and faint electronic sounds in those audio clips proved they were synthetically made.

Anyone familiar with me could tell, but unfortunately, my wife firmly believed it.

I wanted to explain, but the words I spoke couldn't be heard by anyone.

Olivia stared at Henry with a gloomy expression, coldly questioning:

"Assistant He, what else do you have to say? Did your good buddy Ethan tell you how to make excuses?"

"I'm telling you to go back and tell him, enough is enough. Don't make me even more disgusted with him."

"Mom, you go back and persuade him too. As long as he comes and apologizes to Liam, I won't pursue this matter."

My mother-in-law angrily stood up and slapped her with a trembling hand.

"You and Ethan have known each other since childhood. How can you be so ruthless!"

"You've been married for seven years. You can't even recognize his voice?!"

My mother-in-law's eyes were red, and tears kept flowing.

But Olivia's face had completely darkened. However, she tried to control her anger and spoke as calmly as possible:

"Mom, I originally didn't plan to expose his true colors in front of you, but you keep forcing me."

Her voice sounded like it was squeezed out from between her teeth, revealing the anger she was trying hard to suppress.

"Since you insist on forcing me, I can only go along with you and let you have a good look at what kind of person he is!"
