Olivia took care of Liam until he fell into a deep sleep, then quietly left and drove away from the hospital.

I followed behind her and saw her call someone to send fresh ingredients, then cook soup for him in the villa closest to the hospital.

She even instructed her subordinates not to buy abalone, saying Liam didn't like eating abalone.

Watching her busy in the kitchen, my heart felt like it was being cut with a knife.

In the seven years of our marriage, she had never paid attention to my tastes. Every time we ate together, she would order for herself without regard for me, let alone personally making soup for me.

I used to think it was because she was too busy with work, but now I realized how ridiculous I had been.

It turned out that all her indifference and neglect wasn't because of her personality, but because she had never cared about me at all.

During a break from cooking the soup, she contacted the designer who usually custom-made clothes for her and asked them to prepare a few comfortable outfits for Liam.

She skillfully reported Liam's detailed measurements and even reminded the designer not to use black because Liam didn't like it.

My eyes reddened slightly, and I found it difficult to restrain the bitterness in my heart.

Olivia had never once prepared attire with me for attending banquets. I could only wear basic suits each time to avoid letting outsiders see our discord.

But now, she was attentively preparing custom-made clothes for Liam and even remembered the colors he disliked.

It turned out that love and lack of love were worlds apart like this.

Returning to the villa, Olivia packed a few sets of daily necessities and hurriedly rushed back to the hospital with the soup she had cooked.

Afraid the soup would get cold and not taste good, she sped the whole way, even running several red lights.

Just as she picked up the things and closed the car door, she froze in place with a look of disbelief on her face.

I followed her gaze and saw that my mother-in-law was quietly looking at her while pushing Amelia, who had just woken up.

"Amelia? You woke up?"

After coming to her senses, Olivia immediately stepped forward with a joyful expression, wanting to excitedly embrace her.

Before she could extend her hand, she noticed the weight in her hands and saw that they were full of things. She smiled a little awkwardly.

Amelia glanced at the soup in her hand, then at the men's pajamas in her other hand, and let out a cold laugh.

"If your beloved first love sees me, he'll probably be so scared that he'll be sent for emergency treatment on the spot."

"Ethan's corpse is still lying in the funeral home, yet you have the heart to cook soup for that beast in the hospital. How did I not notice before that my own sister is a fool played for a fool by others!"

"What you've done is really disgusting!"

Amelia's look of revulsion shocked Olivia. "Amelia, it's one thing for Mom to be soft-hearted and deceived by Ethan, but how can you speak up for him too?"

With that, her expression turned cold.

"I know you look down on Liam, but is your highly praised Ethan such a good match? Marrying him back then because of what you said was the most regretful thing in my life. I'm going to be with Liam now. If you like Ethan so much, you can marry him yourself!"

Having said that, she turned her head and was about to go upstairs to find Liam.

Amelia grabbed her tightly and suddenly burst into tears. "Ethan's body is still at the crematorium. Go with us to sign the papers and let him rest in peace. After that, Mom and I won't bother you about him anymore."

Olivia panicked a bit and stared hard into Amelia's eyes. "Amelia, you're joking, right? He's so afraid of death. How could he possibly not escape? He must be hiding and waiting for us to find him!"

Amelia immediately laughed and cried at the same time. "Afraid of death? Have you forgotten that when we were kidnapped in middle school and the kidnappers discovered us escaping, he lured them away by himself and was captured back?"

"If the police hadn't found him in time, he would have died for us long ago!"

"Anyone in this world can criticize him, but we can't! What right do you have to look down on him?!"

At the end, she stood up directly despite her physical weakness, grabbed Olivia's collar, and loudly rebuked her.

Olivia was dazed and let Amelia pound on her, trying to speak but unable to make a sound.

I rarely saw a trace of guilt towards me on her face.

But she still disappointed Amelia. She took out her phone again and showed her the audio of "me" cursing Liam, saying I couldn't possibly be dead.

Amelia laughed coldly. "We grew up together since we were young, and you were married to him for seven years. You know very well in your heart whether this voice is his or not. Don't deceive yourself!"
