It all began on the day I got a message back from the kingdom that they had found the whereabouts of the last surviving princess, whom everyone assumed was dead.
I could already imagine just how much everyone must be celebrating back home; after all, the kingdom finally has an heir.
I dropped everything I was doing and rushed toward the location that was sent to me.
It took me a few hours, but I made it. The princess was living in a remote village.
I probed the village upon reaching it, and there she was, wearing the disguise of a middle-aged woman with black hair and eyes.
My heartbeat quickened while my breath became labored with joy; I have found the princess. But I was also disappointed, the princess..... was weak.
Sure, she lived almost two decades outside of the kingdom, but that was no excuse for her to be only level 20!
I sighed to myself and decided to gather a few slaves to make her level up at least to level thirty before she meets Master, the queen and ruler of the kingdom.
So I appeared in front of her; she was walking toward a hut, but when she saw me, she was horrified. Although I thought that she would be surprised, I never thought she would be scared to see me.
Without waiting to give me a chance to explain, she rushed toward the hut and called out to someone. I didn't hear who it was, but looking back, I knew it must be that annoying plaything!
I followed her toward the hut, where she stood at its entrance, curious to see what she was doing; I glanced over her shoulders.
It was then I saw the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life. He looked--Divine. Immediately, the succubus in me flared up; I wanted him.
He was standing naked with a worried expression on his face; I figured he might be one of the princess's slaves, as expected of a princess.
I walked over to him, with each step, my rational got clouded with lust and I almost lost it when I saw his member, it was bigger than an Incubus--an INCUBUS!!!
I tried to tease him, but the princess got in the middle; I could feel her anger and hatred through her eyes as she shielded him from me.
I could also feel that man's gaze on me, but unlike the princess, it looked calm. But I could tell that it was a façade; a storm was brewing inside him. I could tell he felt humiliated, but did I care—NO! Why should I care about a slave's feelings.
But the princess's words made me almost choke! He is my husband, she growled.
Did I hear that right? I thought to myself, HUSBAND!!??? Did she say Husband!??
Women, have you forgotten why you had to run away from your home? Everything bad that happened to the kingdom happened because of men!
My blood boiled as anger rose in my heart. I told her that her mother banned succubi from having husbands and could only have slaves.
But her words... her words made me lose my rationale. How dare she! Even if she is her mother, how dare she curse her mother—the Queen!
I threatened her that I could snap her husband's neck like a twig, but she then threatened to kill herself.
WHAT THE FUCK!!?
I didn't know what to do; I can't push the princess much because I don't have that authority. I calmed myself a little and warned her to come with me. I threatened her that I would kill everyone in that village if she refused.
I also added that her slave could come with her as well, to which they agreed. I might not be able to do anything to that man as he belonged to the princess, but master could. And I had full confidence that she would kill the slave upon learning that he was, in fact, the princess's husband.
The next day, I took the two of them and started to go back to the kingdom. It was slow as we were riding horses, but what irritated me was just how much the princess prioritized the slave over her own self.
How can she do that? She is the freaking future queen!?
I was frustrated at first; with every single second that passed, the thought of killing the man then and there solidified in me. But I held myself; I could kill him, of course, and it wouldn't take more than a second to do it.
I could also take the princess forcefully, but therein lies the problem. From what I have seen, the princess loves the slave very much.
And as the future queen of all the succubi, including me, I knew that doing anything to the man would only make the princess hate me more, so I held my anger in.
And I have to say, the slave was not that bad; he was handsome and intelligent. I am sure that if he were really loyal to the princess, he would be of great help to her.
But...but that was the problem; he wasn't loyal to the princess, but the princess was loyal to him.
Although he didn't look like the type who would betray, it was still a glaring weakness for the princess. So I didn't waste any chance to show my hatred toward him; I wanted to warn him that any kind of betrayal to the princess would lead to his death and that I was always watching him.
But the princess misunderstood me and started hating me; I could feel her hatred for me growing day by day.
A few days back, while on the road that led to the city of Arcadia, I had a thought. What if—what if the man survived meeting master.
Even if he didn't survive and master kills him, I am sure that the princess would resent everyone who disliked the slave, and that includes me.
From what I have seen so far, she would definitely get revenge, and after she becomes the crown princess, she will have total power over me—I will be tortured and then killed.
That's why I have decided; I will stop showing my hatred toward the slave and try to help the princess in every way I can. I will make her know that I am on her side, and after that slave dies, I will get close to her, becoming her right hand.
And the first step toward that goal is to kill the hatred she has toward me. Doing that is simple, since she hates me for not respecting her husband. I will act as if I am slowly starting to respect him.
Of course, doing it suddenly would only make me look suspicious, so I will stay silent. I will stay silent for a while and slowly start to get close to them.
The journey on the ship is the perfect chance!
