Chapter 24: The Ent's Sacrifice Part 3

Lumina's Dome, Kingdom of Castile

The days passed with Tomas and Lumina in a trance. They barely talk to each other, and they barely ate since drinking the tea on Tomas' first day. Tomas silently helped Lumina do her chores in her garden. Strangely, Tomas felt no inclination to eat or drink something. He refrained from asking Lumina too much about her Dome as he understood that if Lumina wanted him to know something, she would be the one initiating the conversation.

On the third day of Tomas' stay in Lumina's Dome, he saw several flashes of light in the portal where he entered. The giant tree man then strode towards the flashing light like a puppy greeting its friends. Tomas was prepared to see other people like Lumina but sadly, his expectations were met with disappointment.

The Sisters whom Lumina referred to was composed of seven different women, each looking marginally different from the other. The first to arrive was a woman with long white hair flowing down to her ankles, her hair looked like silver moonlight and she was sporting a crown of what looked like inverted ice shards. Her ears were pointed, and her eyebrows and lashes sported the same color as her hair. Her eyes were an Icy blue, and her mouth was thin. There was no line or indent in her philtrum, it was just a flat layer of skin between her nose and thin lips.

Another woman came within an orb of what looked like water. She has tanned skin, her eyes a deep green slit, her hair a curly deep green and there were gills on her neck. She had scaled claws as hands, and her feet were also scaled claws.

The other woman had vines with jade green flowers for her hair. Her skin is like a young bark and Tomas cannot see whether the creature has feet or not. She just floated towards the cottage. The fourth one to arrive was an oddity. Her body is shaped like a woman's but her face is blank, Tomas cannot see where her eyes are nor cannot distinguish her other features or if she even don clothes. She was pure fire, alight with bluish to transparent white flames, and beneath her cracked blue skin, you could see a deep red-orange glow like embers.

The fifth one to arrive can be summarized as a birdman. She had wings for hands and clawed feet. Her mouth was substituted by a beak but her body is definitely that of a lady. The last one to arrive was a towering lady. Her head was full of eyes, like hundreds of them, some big, some small. She has a giant golden shield on one hand and a sword on the other. Unlike the other beings, she just dropped from the sky using her four wings. Each of those had giant, human-sized eyes embedded in them.

Tomas could barely support his head at the suppression that Lumina's visitors gave him. Knowing that they were going to discuss something important, Tomas went out of their way and decided to go and meditate beneath the branches of the oak tree.

Inside Lumina's Cottage

The Sisters whom Lumina called to confer adjusted their form to fit inside the woman's cottage. They sat around the glowing circular table, where the water from the river of Pishon flowed.

"Welcome to my humble Dome, my Sisters of the Light." Lumina greeted them.

Her visitors also gave their greetings in return. "What made you call us here Seventh Sister?" Said the woman with many eyes.

"First sister, as the one with the strongest gift of sight, surely you can see that this realm has an interloper. I have no contact with other Lightworker tribes so I asked for your counsel on what we need to do to delay the impending war." Lumina told them upfront.

"Didn't you communicate with the Garuda Seventh Sister?" The many-eyed woman asked her again.

"Since the Garuda had revealed that the interloper will rise in these lands, I have never met him, nor initiated conversation," Lumina answered her truthfully.

"News travels fast in the air these days, and the birds have told me a tale. It seems like the Mayans and Aztecs are into something. Their tribal leader bore a child and they celebrated it with great fanfare. After the child was born, they saw the elders take him into hiding in the Kaibabawan." Said the bird lady.

"News from the land surrounded by water also reached my ears. It seems that when the red moon occurred, various beings were sacrificed to" the water-lady's retelling was interrupted by their first sister.

"The secrets of heaven cannot be disclosed as you please sisters. Be forewarned. We do not know who is listening, nor do we know who we are talking to. Right third sister?"

The many-eyed lady turned all of her eyes to the fire lady before saying "Te Revelare!"

The fire lady chuckled before turning into black smoke. The ice lady then produced a glass made of ice and imprisoned the smoke.

"A soldier of the Interloper. It seems that they want to bring us down." Said their first sister.

Then, she took the glass from the ice lady and chanted a phrase. The shadow inside was suffused with a golden light before everything turned into black ash.

"This is the essence of the interloper. You can use this ash together with the holy oil to anoint your weapons. This is poison for all the harbingers of darkness." Their first sister told them.

"Lumina, you need to bring your Dome to the Castillo. Make the queen drink a mixture of holy water mixed with a sprinkle of ash from the remains of the interloper's soldier. There are only two outcomes from this cure, either the soldier possessing the queen and the interloper's seed will die, or they will all die together." She told them in a grim tone.

"Before we begin, take me to see the Cardinal's apprentice. Let me see if he the sword for us or the sword meant to kill us."
