Chapter 25: The Ent's Sacrifice Part 4

Lumina's Dome, Kingdom of Castile

Tomas heard the commotion from inside the cottage but he refrained from barging in. "The Sisters of the Light can handle it." he thought to himself.

Instead of focusing on what the ladies are discussing, Tomas is trying to process everything that he has seen. He thought that he knew many things already such as the existence of Angels and Demons but he never thought that worlds aside from his own exist. His mind is catching up to the wonders that he has seen.

The creatures that he saw here in Sister Lumina's Dome are the creatures once told by his mother. He only thought that they existed in legends but now, he kept thinking back to the expression his Tio Juan had when he expressed his doubt of their existence.

"Tomas my nephew, let me ask you a question. Do you believe in God?" His uncle asked him,

"Silly Tio, of course, I do." He replied.

His uncle chuckled and said, "So, did you see him with your own eyes?"

Young Tomas, was puzzled by his question and he let out a long "Nooooo? Why do you ask Tio?"

"Well, you see, disbelief is the devil's tool in controlling the mind. The more you question your faith and their existence, the more you make them happy. By recognizing that they exist, you will be wary of them and they will have a hard time getting to you." His Tio told him.

"By knowing and recognizing his existence, you will know how he operates. Tomas, you must remember this, although you cannot see something, you cannot deny its existence. If you deny its existence you will fail to see it, and by the time you believe, it will be too late." His Tio added.

The young Tomas back then was confused by the cryptic words his Tio told him. However, his words allowed the young priest to view the world in a different spectrum. He kept an open mind and an open heart.

Staring blankly at the space, Tomas was startled when a glowing orb floated in front of him trying to get his attention. When he focused his attention on the orb, a voice in his mind told him that the Sisters of the Light were summoning him.

Upon hearing the missive, Tomas stood up and went to the cottage. He knocked politely before turning the knob of the cottage door. There, he saw six sisters sitting in front of the glowing round table where the water from the river of Pishon rotated and provided sight for the blind Lumina.

"Come here child, and let me see you," a voice inside his head told him. He didn't know why his body followed the voice and stood in front of the many-eyed lady.

Tomas stood under the scrutiny of the many eyes of the lady. She occasionally let out a hmm… here and there as she revolved around him. Once she finished her inspection, she told him that he could leave.

Although puzzled by her actions and their missing sister, Tomas kept quiet and went back out to sit beneath the oak tree.

Inside the Cottage after Tomas's Departure

Once the door closed behind Tomas' back, the sisters sat down and convened again. The ever impatient scaled lady asked their first sister "So what did you see first sister? Is he a calamity? Shall we kill him?"

The rest of the ladies sighed and bowed their heads to hide their smiles. All the eyes of their first sister focused on the scaled lady, only then, did she realize her blunder.

Knowing the personality of her second sister, the scaled lady, she reduced her pressure and said " He is and at the same time he is not the calamity."

At her cryptic words, the second sister wanted to immediately pipe up and ask another question, but before she could rattle on, their first sister continued "The interloper's aim this time is to undermine the church and plans to use those in power to achieve their goal. What they have in mind is to access the fountain in the Land of Gold, the hidden Land of Ophir to drink from the fountain and drink the golden blood of its guardians."

With her statement, everyone gasped. "But the Hidden Land of Gold is even Hidden among us Lightworkers! Even the reclusive families in Kaibabawan do not know where the realm is hidden." Their second sister exclaimed.

"You know something, fourth sister?" Their first sister asked the bird lady.

"You know how birds hear and see things, I believe the fifth sister also knows about this, as she can communicate with trees and the earth. We believe that several Divinos have already known its existence, or where it approximately is. But we never spoke of it, I already made an oath together with my brethren to be eternally damned if we ever speak, write, or hint of this secret. I believe first sister, you know its significance." She earnestly said.

"What fourth sister said is true first sister, I and my kind also made an oath." their fifth sister said.

"It seems that the Garuda made a move already. He is taking care of things in the part of the world where the entrance of Ophir is. What we need to do is to play our part, and not hinder their plans." Their first sister said.

"I believe you need this first sister." The ice lady, their sixth sister said as she produced a golden seed, encased in ice.

"Is that a core of an Ent?" Their second sister exclaimed.

"Hmm.. It is the last core of the first generation of Ents. The Nephelims gave this to my ancestors and told them of the time to plant it when an interloper enters the realm of the Earth to pave the rise of the Beast." Their sixth sister said.

"The ancients really prepared for the worst. We need to mold another body for young Tomas, he will be the key and also the lock until the predestined coming of God arrives." Said their first sister.
