43: Time skip.

With new things to learn and new things to explore, study, and train, the time passed faster and faster. Bulma and her companions made good use of their time in Penguin Village and made significant progress.

Aside from being another year older, now 17, Bulma also improved in her power. Her basic training under the enhanced gravity had increased her physical strength but also made her feel a strong desire to fight.

Fortunately, the World Martial Arts Tournament was about to be held, where she and her classmates could meet other martial artists. This calms Bulma's desire to fight.

On the Ki side, she fully understood Ki Projection and integrated it into many of her other techniques, increasing her power. She also helped Goku, Chi-Chi, and Oolong train.

Along the way, she also learned about Turbo Norimaki's psychic powers as she interacted more with him. While her forte will always be Ki, having psychic power at her disposal helped her to have different ways to use her power.

On the other hand, her physical transformation ability had advanced a lot. It wasn't enough to drastically change her being, but some transformations to change her being became much easier for her.

During the months Bulma spent studying with Doctor Norimaki, she learned many strange concepts and ideas. She will not have the strange ability of this doctor to create crazy machines, but her inventions had become a little more special.

Goku, on the other hand, continued his physical training and meditation, deepening his relationship with his Ozaru-self. Maybe he didn't have full control over it, but now he was confident that at least he wouldn't hurt his acquaintances if he fell into a ruckus.

Chi-Chi practiced magic and became a bit more skilled with it, but she didn't neglect her physical training either. Goku always sought her out to train with him, making the young girl's growth quite balanced.

Oolong no longer had a time limit for his transformation. Because of Bulma's advice, he starts to practice his psychic power directly and manages to complete his transformation technique.

Only Bulma warned him about his technique; she didn't want Oolong to imitate other people and do perverted things. Apart from that, everything went quite harmoniously and quickly.

"Do they have to leave already?" asked Midori Norimaki with some sadness in her voice.

The woman already had a huge pregnant belly, and from what Bulma could sense, the little creature to be born was very active in her mother's womb, showing how healthy she was.

"We have to. It's been a long time since we've seen our family in person, and I want to do that before the tournament starts," Bulma replied, having canceled the capsule's home form.

"Besides, it's not like we can't see each other or communicate anymore. You can go to the tournament to see us," Goku added, causing Midori to touch his hair.

This woman had become very familiar with Bulma's group and had grown quite fond of them, so she felt sad. But, Goku's words reminded her of this important fact: yes, she could see them whenever possible, so why stay sad?

So Midori stroked Goku's head, as if to remember the feel of the young man's strange hairstyle, before she looked at Bulma, who was finishing her preparations.

"You are always welcome here; you know? Wait, let me call my lazy husband," Midori noticed that Doctor Norimaki was not there, so she walked towards the house.

"Dad's in trouble," Turbo said with a chuckle as he floated around Bulma.

His body had grown in these months, but the boy loved flying with his powers so much that Bulma had to tell him to learn to crawl and walk. Even though he knew how to do that now, he preferred to float whenever he was away from home.

"The Doctor is a very sentimental man and doesn't want to say goodbye," Chi-Chi replied with a smile on her face.

"He's a good man; too bad he's short-sighted. Why couldn't he make me a robot wife?" muttered Oolong, sad that he couldn't convince Doctor Norimaki to fulfill his deepest dream.

"If the Doctor does that, Midori will break his legs." Bulma looked at Oolong, especially his legs, indicating to the boy that he too would suffer those consequences if he continued with the topic.

"You don't understand! Many men like robots and women, so why not mix the two? I just want a wife!" Oolong shouted to the sky as if he were making a legendary statement.

"Why do you want a wife so badly? Aren't you too young to have children?" Goku asked curiously, causing Oolong to look at him with a somewhat sinister smile.

"You don't know anything, Goku. you already have your wife..." Oolong could not speak any further as Chi-Chi's fist hit his head, causing him to fight back the urge to cry as he cringed.

"Stop trying to contaminate Goku with your weird ideas," Chi-Chi muttered to him, although his face was slightly red.

"Have I a wife? But Chi-Chi and I have no children," Goku replied to what he could hear from Oolong, bringing the whole scene to a halt.

Even Arale, who had risen from the ground, stared at Goku without saying a word. Chi-Chi's face turned completely red. Oolong smiled with bad thoughts while Bulma crouched low enough to be her younger brother's height.

"Goku, do you want to have children with Chi-Chi in the future?" Bulma's question was to the point, causing Goku to touch his chin as he thought about his answer.

"I guess so, but I don't understand Oolong's insistence on having a wife. Isn't it better to spend time fighting and wait until we are adults?" Goku looked at Bulma and waited for her to answer his doubts.

Though he was no fool, he was very innocent to a certain extent, and growing up with Bulma, he got used to constantly questioning his doubts to learn more and more. He had not even neglected his classes at school, taking them virtually while training.

As always, Bulma set out to answer Goku's doubts. But first, the girl looked at Chi-Chi, who seemed to be cosplaying Majin Buu, with smoke coming out of her head and ears.

"Don't pay too much attention to Oolong; his personality and desires are different from yours. As you rightly said, it's best to wait until they grow up, when you reach adulthood, many things will become clearer to you. So just spend time with Chi-Chi, it will make her happy," Bulma advised before looking at the newly arrived Doctor Norimaki.

"Ah, advising little Goku? I hope puberty doesn't ruin his giggly attitude," Doctor Norimaki said before getting an elbow from his wife.

He had tried to change the subject by talking about Goku, but his wife, who knew her husband well, slapped him, making it clear to Doctor Norimaki that he could not avoid this farewell.

"Well, Bulma, are you leaving? I hope it wasn't my fault, you know, my science is very different from the rest of the world and even though you learned well, I understand if you get angry with me because I can't do the 'weird' things I do, I..." Doctor Norimaki stopped talking when he was hugged by Bulma, he didn't know what to say, so he looked at his wife nervously.

"Master, thank you for everything you have taught me," Bulma said before separating from Doctor Norimaki, then she hugged Midori Norimaki as well.

"Thank you for teaching me so many dishes." Bulma's words made Midori burst into laughter as she held back tears, but some of them fell down her cheeks.

"Come back when my daughter is born, okay? I want her to meet you soon. I'm sure she'll like you." The woman patted Bulma's head as if she were her daughter, and with this woman's gentleness, perhaps she considered the young woman before her a part of her family.

"Now me!" Arale approached Bulma and opened her arms wide.

"I could never forget you! I have some ideas for your adult body, you just have to wait, okay?" Bulma bent down and hugged Arale's body.

"Okay!" the little gynoid said, mimicking Midori's actions and patting Bulma's head.

After a few more goodbyes, the group was ready to leave, only this time, instead of using Bulma's airship, they all flew quickly. Although Oolong was pulled along by Bulma's psychic powers.

The Norimaki family looked up and watched as the four figures soon flew through the sky, leaving trails of white energy before disappearing into the distance. The youngsters' long stay in Penguin Village was over.

...

"When I said I wanted to try flying, I didn't mean being dragged around like this," complained Oolong, who was dizzy and seeing double.

"You're too slow, Oolong," Goku said, causing Oolong to give him a dirty look.

"I'm just learning how to use my psychic powers! I'm not a monster like you or Turbo Norimaki!" complained Oolong, but at least he didn't swear as much as before.

"But you didn't seem to complain during the trip," Chi-Chi pointed out, making Oolong grin mischievously.

"I had a good view." Oolong glanced at Bulma's back, causing Bulma to turn around, but the boy just whistled now.

"Remind me to never take you again," Bulma said before looking at the entrance to her house and waiting for it to open.

She could have flown straight home, but out of respect for her parents, she decided to land outside. She hadn't entered her biometric data into the air defense system of her home, and she didn't want to be bombarded by the energy cannons her father had installed.

The doors opened, and a blonde woman ran up to Bulma and hugged her tightly. Her mother, Bikini, wasted no time, crushing Bulma against her body, almost smothering her poor daughter with her large attributes.

"My baby, you're back at last. I missed you so much~! I thought you'd leave us, live your life, and only come back when you gave birth to some punk who cheated on you!" Although it was nice at first to enjoy her mother's loving words, Bulma noticed that the subject was getting strange very quickly.

"Mom, do you still watch soap operas?" muttered Bulma, pulling away from her mother's embrace with difficulty. She didn't know how, but Bikini could always cling to her without her being able to defend herself.

"I always enjoy the drama the writers come up with," Bikini said, seeing that her game had been deciphered by Bulma and simply pulled away from her daughter, hugging Goku and Chi-Chi warmly.

"I missed you so much," the woman said before looking at Oolong, whom she only reached out to but also winked at.

"Where are my father and sister?" asked Bulma, who did not feel the presence of her relatives in the house.

"Your father is doing some business, and your sister ran off with Jaco again. I know they're friends, but if Tights keeps running off like this, she's not going to find a good match.

Jaco is nice, but he's too short and has no aesthetic sense." Bikini approached her daughter, holding her arm as if she were a lifelong friend and telling her some gossip.

"And tell me, Bulma, when are you going to get me a nice girl to meet?" Bikini's words scared Bulma, but what she didn't know was that a happy and special girl would be in front of her very shortly.

All this is part of the great butterfly effect created by her existence in this world.
