51: Meeting Lapis and Lazuli.

After the fights of the first day were finally over, not only the spectators left but also the fighters. Soon, only a few people left the area where Bulma was.

Apart from the group of Bulma and her companions, there were two young fighters who Bulma recognized as Lapis and Lazuli, the twin siblings whose fate seemed to have changed drastically because of her.

'Give them help Bulma, they are good talents,' Kami-Sama's voice came to Bulma's mind, indicating that the god was keeping an eye on what was happening on Earth thanks to King Kai, so Bulma nodded in agreement.

Soon, Lapis and Lazuli approached her with some caution, but seeing that Bulma would not be left alone, they simply resigned themselves to making direct contact with her, even if she was accompanied.

"Um... can we ask you something?" Lapis stepped up to his sister and stared at Bulma.

"Sure, is it something very private?" Bulma asked back, looking at the alert state the two youngsters were maintaining.

"You could say that... it would be good to step back a bit, we don't have far to go," Lazuli pointed to the spot where she and her brother were standing earlier, causing Bulma to nod.

"Hey, are you waiting for me?" Bulma turned and asked her companions, who nodded.

"Don't be late! I'm hungry," Goku said, causing Bulma to resist the urge to punch him in the head.

"We'll wait for you," Yamcha said, looking closely at Lapis and Lazuli, even though the girl made him uncomfortable, his discomfort didn't stop him from feeling the power in the two young twins.

They were strong, but knowing how capable Bulma was, Yamcha wasn't too worried, so he just nodded to Lapis, who nodded back loosely, that was how easily the boys could get along.

With the reassurance of her friends, Bulma went with Lapis and Lazuli to a more secluded place. Using her empathic ability, Bulma could feel the conflicting emotions of the two siblings, even though they were full of determination.

Though their emotions seemed to be almost in sync, only on Lazuli's side could she feel some strange little emotions that she could not quite understand, and noticing how she kept giving her sidelong glances, Bulma thought that maybe she was impressed by her strength, who wouldn't be?

"Well, this may sound a bit like begging, but... Could we sell you some of our techniques?" Lapis asked pointedly, he had always been a strange man of action.

Even though his memory had been erased in his C-17 version, his way of doing things had always been particularly strange. He was often direct, even hurtful with his words, but at the same time, he was able to take a van to travel long distances instead of flying, enjoying the journey and especially nature.

Still, his question surprised Bulma, what could drive a martial artist to sell his techniques? She didn't know, but seeing how Lazuli had a bad expression on her face, but her emotions showed her resignation, Bulma realized that there was more to this proposal than she knew.

"First of all, aren't you thinking about winning the first prize?" asked Bulma instead of answering Lapis' question, causing Lazuli to visibly roll her eyes.

"You think we didn't think about it, we did! But we saw so many strong fighters, and even you are one of those fighters!" said Lazuli, showing her strong attitude, a far cry from the silence she had kept a short while ago.

"Oh, I understand, but I never expected such a direct sale of something as important as a technique, that gives me some ideas..." A certain idea curdled in Bulma's mind at that moment, but knowing that this was no time to be distracted, she focused her attention on the twins.

"Okay, I won't ask what you want the money for, just tell me, what do you have to sell?" Bulma asked directly, causing the two twins to look visibly excited.

"Well..."

...

Bulma chatted with the twins for half an hour and easily arranged the purchase of three techniques, which would be written by the twins and delivered to them the following night, where the final payment would be made.

After saying goodbye, Bulma approached her companions with a big smile on her face, not only had she made a deal, but she had also come up with a great idea.

First of all, she had made the acquaintance of the twins, on this basis, the relationship between them could be taken as a friendship. Bulma would never refuse or shy away from a friendly relationship with them, in fact, it would be good if they actually became friends.

When she arrived next to her companions, they looked at her with interest, so it was Chi-Chi who was the first to break the silence.

"Did something happen? You look so happy," Chi-Chi remarked, causing Krillin to nod steadily.

"Yes! You have that strange smile that Master Roshi has sometimes, did you like that boy?" asked Krillin, raising one of his eyebrows as he gave a smile of amusement.

"But Krillin, Bulma likes girls," before Bulma could even answer, Goku stepped forward and blurted out the information that he still didn't know that detail about his friend because Krillin and Bulma didn't live together.

"Come on, how could he like girls? Isn't that... guys like me have no chance with women?" Instead of complaining or feeling uncomfortable, Krillin brought the topic to a questionable point, his complexes.

"No wonder you looked so passionately at those mermaid girls," Yamcha, to whom the truth of the world had been revealed, said those words, making Bulma's face turn red with embarrassment.

"That's enough! Krillin, you're a great guy, there will be a girl who likes you, you need to work on your self-esteem," Bulma said, solving the most serious problem at the moment.

While it was funny to see someone say things like 'I'm ugly', it was only funny at first because that joke could easily turn into something annoying or hurtful if you weren't careful, so Bulma will make every effort to avoid that path, she didn't want a Krillin who would use the pity of his looks to make girls feel sorry for him.

"And what makes me happy is something I never expected, those guys sold me some of their techniques," Bulma said, causing both Yamcha and Krillin to look at her strangely.

"Bulma, did you say what you meant?" asked Krillin, his tone full of disbelief.

As someone who grew up in a temple with a religious and martial character, he knew how disgustingly protective the monks were of their techniques, so much so that he didn't even learn anything beyond super basic concepts, nothing special.

You can imagine his surprise and confusion when Bulma told him this, taking Bulma's words more as a mistake of the blue-haired girl than something she really said.

"Do you remember the story I told you about the man who laid the foundation of what I called the Wolf School? He simply stole a flying technique and they hunted him down for years until they killed him," Yamcha said, showing how protective some martial artists can be of their techniques.

"Isn't it normal to do that when you need money? My grandfather Gohan and Master Roshi didn't forbid us to do whatever we wanted with the techniques they taught us," Goku said, pointing out how easy and light the techniques of the Sora and Turtle schools were.

For both Muten Roshi and Gohan, sharing their techniques was not a bad thing, if it could collide knowledge and experience to achieve some surprises and even significant progress in some areas.

Although they were selective about who they taught directly, the two men had no problem openly discussing the core of their techniques with other artists if it was mutual, it was just that it was very rare to find someone as open-minded as they were.

Not even Mutaito, who had his own school, was that open with his techniques, only sharing them with his two direct disciples, Roshi and Tsuru. Bulma, noticing the tone of her companions, just shook her shoulders and continued to speak.

"I don't see the problem the concepts mentioned in their techniques appealed to me quite a bit, you know? They both have less than a year of training, but maybe because they are twins, they are two minds working at the same time instead of one, coming up with some interesting ideas.

Sometimes I think there must be some kind of psychic connection between them, maybe Turbo can sense it," Bulma said, putting her hand to her chin as she thought about these things, straying a bit from the main topic.

"I understand that this is normal for you, I guess we will get used to it eventually, but Bulma, is that a reason to be so happy? Or do you have contact with that blonde girl?" Krillin touched Bulma's leg with his elbow while he winked at her.

"I have her contact! But it has nothing to do with that, it has to do with the fact that I had a great idea. There are a lot of forums on the Internet, right? But what if I made one just for martial artists?

Where someone can ask their questions on a topic related to the practice and people with that knowledge can guide them. But also, if someone wants to sell their technique, they can do it easily, or if they just want to publish it for free, they can just upload a document with it," Bulma said, briefly explaining her idea.

"I don't think many people would participate in that," Yamcha said, and before Bulma could answer, he continued to speak.

"But isn't there something like the Space Internet, why not try it there, I'm sure many aliens would like to learn how to use their energies better!" Yamcha suggested, making Bulma's eyes literally glow, and that was because the girl's ki was shaking violently from her own excitement, causing her eyes to emit light.

"THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!" the girl shouted, attracting one of the passing employees who suggested the group leave since there were hardly any people left in the stadium.

Then, as they left, Bulma began to discuss her improved idea, fine-tuning some details with her companions. Besides, knowing that a certain Galactic Patrolman was hanging around, she could carry out her plan.

Alone, she had to be very careful not to reveal the origin of the forum, she didn't want to draw alien attention to Earth unnecessarily, so she would probably have to limit the use of humans to this forum, but she could make an Earth version of it.

Though the original series showed a lack of knowledge of Off-Earth species' use of energy, Bulma doubted that this was the case. How could a stellar civilization have little knowledge of Ki? Even the most scientific civilizations would have studied it.

So for Bulma, the starry sky was not only full of treasures or knowledge but also many points of view that she could learn and use as a reference for her own path.

So when she arrived at the mansion where her family was staying, built by her father to make it easier for everyone to stay on the island where the tournament was being held, Bulma ran to her father full of excitement, just like she always did when she was a little girl.

"Dad! I thought of something cool, and Jaco can help us!" Bulma jumped to her father and hugged him tightly, even though her gaze wandered to the unsuspecting Jaco, who was eating a plate of pudding.

Only now he had no appetite when he saw Bulma's glowing eyes. The alien's body stiffened, and as he tried to get up to flee, Goku's hand rested on his shoulder.

"Young Saiyan, why are you holding me back, remember I'm a prominent officer," Jaco shouted, constantly trying to get up, but Goku's strength kept him in the chair.

"Bulma has something to talk to you about, Jaco," although Goku's smile was very warm to the others, to Jaco it was like seeing an ogre from another world smile, something that told him he was dead.

Or that he was about to go to hell.
