52: Second night of the Tournament.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Today, after two days of rest, interviews, and some interesting things while waiting, we are finally gathered here for the second night of this tournament!

I hope our fighters have had enough rest! Because only 8 of them will be left for the next and final night!" the host shouted, stirring up the crowd and the spectators.

Perhaps to better introduce Bulma's idea of creating a platform dedicated to martial artists, apart from TV broadcasts or certain streaming platforms, a new way of watching the fights was also promoted on the platform Bulma had designed, which was easily put together by Father and daughter.

Of course, they had to ask Kami-Sama for advice, as well as some of the fighters present, and some of their ideas or tips were taken into account for future improvements.

"It was a bit boring having to wait to watch the fights. So many schools colliding, so many ways colliding, and so many techniques colliding, really a feast for the eyes," Muten Roshi said with excitement in his eyes.

The old man had enjoyed the first night of the tournament, even though he did not know that there were so many people and so many ways to use energy, so he wanted to see what surprises there would be today.

"Right? But a lot of interesting things happened during the break, I even heard some interesting rumors, like a certain platform dedicated to martial arts," the words of the moderator made the people fall silent, interested in the dialog between the moderator and Muten Roshi.

"Oh, you too? It's a project of a young artist, really young waves pushing the old ones, it's an interesting concept. A place where martial artists and martial arts enthusiasts can freely share their wisdom.

You can even sell or trade techniques! Although many people may have certain criticisms, it seems to me to be a good step for the popularization of martial arts.

Especially because they teach good values and I know that those who are interested will not use what they learn to do evil," said Muten Roshi, and although he seemed to explain a lot, he didn't mention some key things.

What is this platform called, how do you get to it, what makes sure that no one uses what they learn for evil, ignoring these supposed values? Roshi knew that these questions and more were on many people's minds, but a subtle smile appeared on his face.

'To use the fact that Kami-Sama is with a superior god to develop a mechanism that evaluates people's hearts before they gain access...

I never saw that coming, I also never thought that Bulma could come up with something that integrates magic, ki, psion, and technology so well, she really is a special girl,' Muten Roshi thought, looking at the ring on his hand with the kanji 'Turtle' engraved on it.

"A special project, more details about it on the main page of the tournament organizers, don't miss this opportunity," after saying that, as well as many additional announcements, the moderator went on to tell what was important to him tonight.

The matches!

A big screen showed the names of the 32 fighters, if you were watching the tournament on the internet you could see some facts and clips about the fighters, you could even click on a heart icon to indicate your favorite.

Not surprisingly, the four girls in the tournament were the most popular, receiving more favorites than the male fighters. These fighters were Bulma Brief and Chi-Chi. Lan-Fan and Lazuli.

Of course, the rest of the fighters were men, some of them attracted a lot of public attention, such as Ken Master, others were not so popular, perhaps because of their scary appearance, such as Giran.

Interestingly, many people were interested in Goku, perhaps because his fight against Red Boy was too fun and exciting to watch, so it caught the attention of many people.

So when his name was called as the first fighter to fight tonight, the crowd screamed. Although this made his opponent Giran jealous, Goku just greeted the crowd with a big smile on his face.

"Wow, what a huge size difference we have here," the announcer said, emphasizing the fact that Giran was indeed huge compared to Goku, who despite being a teenager, still had the stature of a small child.

"Fortunately, martial arts is not based on who is bigger or more muscular, but more on skill and mental state, so we will have quite an interesting fight ahead of us," Muten Roshi commented just before the starting gong.

"Famous guy, how can you be more famous than me!!!?" Giran asked, pointing at Goku with a face full of indignation.

"What?" asked Goku before he quickly ran towards Giran, not wanting to waste too much time on useless nonsense.

"Don't ignore me!" Giran waved his claw forward, projecting several crescents of yellow ki at Goku.

Goku quickly dodged the attacks, which left large cracks in the ground when they hit, indicating the danger of Giran's attacks and causing the young Saiyan to narrow his eyes.

Goku produced a ball of red energy in his right hand and shot it at Giran, who simply hit Ki's attack with his hand, deflecting it into the sky.

Soon, Goku got close enough to throw a punch at Giran's body, but Giran simply used his hand to defend himself, but the dinosaur's confident face changed as he sensed the great power behind Goku's punch.

Giran's large body was pushed back hard, his feet slipping along the ground and his claws screeching as he used them to get a much better foothold on the ground.

Goku had wasted no time, lunging at Giran as Ki orbs appeared in both of his palms, then, in a rather high leap, Goku aimed downward, directly at the large dinosaur.

Goku fired the two Ki attacks, which formed spinning beams of energy and collided with each other just before hitting Giran, amplifying the attack.

The stage was filled with smoke and dust from the debris of the battle arena. As Goku descended, he stared, focusing all his attention and perception on Giran, knowing that Giran was not unconscious.

"Ah, damn, why so proactive, how annoying!" Giran's wings flapped hard enough to clear the cloud that had covered him.

Apart from a few scratches on his body, he felt quite well. His sinister yellow eyes glared at Goku in disgust, and knowing that he had to be just as proactive in the fight, energy began to surge around his body.

The aura of yellow Ki surged from Giran's body and covered him like a cloak, turning into an almost unintelligible yellow blur as the crowd watched. He had lunged at Goku, pushing him with his shoulder and sending him flying, causing the Saiyan to spin in the air and land on his feet.

"Wow, I thought you were just a show-off," Goku said, touching the area of his chest that had been hit by Giran and feeling a little pain, but it only made him more excited.

"Of course not! I'm using my super mega awesome enhancement technique, aren't I beautiful?" Giran flexed his muscles, but Goku just crouched down slightly, preparing to fight with everything he had.

"It's just a simple ki enhancement, right? Anyone who can use Ki knows how to do that," Goku said, silencing Giran, and as if his actions were a better demonstration, Goku's Ki began to surge from his body.

Goku's aura turned red and covered his body, it was a simple application of energy to enhance his abilities, but it was enough to cause an environmental reaction.

Chunks of sand began to rise as the ground shook. Giran couldn't believe it, everything he worked for was being ridiculed by a boy, but as an intelligent dinosaur, he didn't have a dedicated teacher to guide him on his martial arts path.

Goku didn't mind Giran's shocked face, and mimicking the dinosaur's previous attack, the Saiyan ran toward him, ramming his shoulder into the creature's large body, but instead of simply pushing it away, he used the proximity to attack.

A ball of blue Ki was concentrated between his hands, spinning steadily and emitting a distinctive sound. Without any mercy or preparation, Goku launched a Kame Hame Ha directly at Giran's body, pushing him out of the arena and winning the fight.

"Fighter Giran is disqualified! Fighter Son Goku wins!" the announcer finally proclaimed, and the crowd cheered loudly for Goku, gaining even more fans.

"It was an interesting fight, wasn't it? But many people will ask, why was there such a noticeable difference when you both used similar techniques?" the announcer asked Muten Roshi, who stroked his beard several times very carefully before answering.

"Simply because Son Goku's knowledge and control of Ki was much better than Giran's. Simple bluntness or brutality is no match for the fine control of energy, even if an artist wants to become much stronger, the control of Ki is something he should not ignore," Muten Roshi explained, even adding a piece of advice from him.

Giran, who was lamenting his loss, heard these words and felt that he might have been too complacent because of his racial advantages, so he promised himself to find a master who would help him improve.

Maybe Yujiro Hanma could help him, it would never hurt to find out.

...

"I thought you wanted to play and fight slowly with this guy," Bulma said as she put her hand on Goku's head, using her own Ki to help him recover from the blow to his chest.

"And what are you going to call me later? No!" Goku shook his head wildly, making Bulma smile.

"I don't understand, wouldn't it be better to test your opponent slowly to see his abilities and then fight full out when you're clear?" asked Krillin, causing both Bulma and Goku to look at him with disdain.

"If you do that, how can you be sure that your enemy is not hiding something to use against you? Never let your opponent prepare, no matter how much you want to fight, in your eagerness for a good fight you lose time and end up defeated or worse, dead, what will you do? Nothing, you'll be dead," Bulma said before continuing to speak because there was something that was not very clear.

"It's not wrong to want to enjoy a fight or to find out what your enemy is capable of, I'm not saying you should throw yourself at your enemy like a mad berserker or a reckless mindless berserker, but there is a time for everything.

As martial artists, we need to know what to do and how to do it in certain situations. Who knows, maybe you will have fights where the pace needs to be gradual, like in the tournament where we share experiences with other fighters.

But you should never trust yourself, sometimes when you are hiding, you can forget that others can hide too" Bulma's words sent Yamcha and Krillin into meditation, but not only them.

Some fighters were interested in Bulma's words and thought about it. Yes, they had sometimes noticed this kind of incongruity, not knowing how to act during a fight.

But at least now, they could take the time to experiment with other styles and ways of fighting. As they stood silently thinking, new names appeared on the screen.

"Now it is the turn of a new pair of fighters! This is Yamcha, against Ken Master, please introduce yourselves," the announcer said, making Yamcha excited because it was his turn.

Both fighters quickly entered the arena, both young men confident and smiling. As they struck their fighting poses, the starting gong sounded.

The fight had begun!
