53: Full moon fighters.

"Man, you look young, don't you?" Ken asked as he took small jumps to prepare for the fight.

"And you look very confident," Yamcha replied, gradually emitting a whitish aura of Ki around his body.

"Of course I am, I'm strong," sensing Yamcha's actions, Ken stopped smiling, but the confidence in his eyes never faded.

Soon, the two fighters were facing each other, their forearms clashing intensely. Both were surprised by the strength of the other, but the fight had already begun and such thoughts had no place in such a quick exchange.

Their confrontation gradually increased in intensity, and although Yamcha was doing his best to overcome Ken Master, the latter seemed to be quite comfortable with the pressure, getting better and better.

How could he not be comfortable? Ken was used to fighting his fellow apprentice's monster, who sometimes unleashed powers that seemed truly inhuman.

It's only when you've faced someone superior to you so many times that you can grow, so Ken Master had an unparalleled ability to adapt.

"Neo Wolf Fang Fist!" Yamcha suddenly shouted, and several illusory figures appeared around his body, forming several Ki wolves.

"What an amazing technique! It's so visual, I think we can all understand what it does just by looking at it, right?" the host remarked, he never expected to see something so special tonight.

"A Ki projection, it will be really interesting to see how young Ken will be able to overcome it," Muten Roshi said, and indeed, Ken quickly found a way to overcome this particular technique.

As Yamcha ran towards him with the Ki wolves, Ken lightly touched his nose before the Ki in his body exploded. Then, as Yamcha's fists and the wolves' claws were about to land on him, he began to spin.

His legs met Yamcha's blows and the flames that were created were fanned by the wind caused by his quick spinning, preventing the ki projections from hitting him directly.

As each technique ended, Ken took the opportunity to strike Yamcha in the stomach, his fist full of fire and his body empowered by Ki, sending them both into the air.

"Shoryuken!" Ken shouted, and his attack was powerful enough to send Yamcha flying even higher.

Ken then took a stance that caught the attention of many, and when the blue glow appeared in the space between his hands, many began to shout, "Would Ken do a Kame Hame Ha? That was the thought of the audience.

"Hadouken!" a ball of energy with electric sparks was created by Ken and then thrown at Yamcha.

But contrary to Ken's thoughts, who thought that Yamcha would have no support in the air, Yamcha easily dodged the attack before quickly descending.

This turn of events caught the blond fighter off guard, and he was hit with a powerful kick that knocked him back several steps.

"How?" asked Ken in dismay, but Yamcha just shook his head, why would he say such a thing to a rival?

He couldn't talk openly about the flying technique because he had identified the members of the Crane School, two fighters who looked particularly strong, especially the boy with three eyes.

So Yamcha simply concentrated the Ki in his fingers, and the shape his energy took was similar to the claws of a wolf. The image of a gigantic wolf appeared behind him, roaring silently at Ken.

As the fight resumed, Ken could tell that something was wrong, very wrong, each blow from Yamcha felt without force or substance, but strangely, he could feel his body growing more uncomfortable, more rigid.

As he tried to pull away from Yamcha at one point, he noticed the smile on the young man's face as he closed his right hand in a gesture that formed a fist, and a wave of pain coursed through Ken's entire body, making him realize what had happened.

Yamcha's energy had subtly infiltrated his body, weakening it, and not only that, the boy's gesture was now causing him a great deal of pain, so much so that his eyesight had been affected, causing him to see blurred.

Yamcha took the opportunity to keep hitting Ken's body, but this time his blows had much more power behind them, and no matter how hard the blond fighter tried to defend himself, the stiffness in his body prevented him from doing anything effective.

Soon, Yamcha landed a hard blow to Ken's head, causing him to fall to the ground. Then the man's body writhed in pain before collapsing into a faint. Then Yamcha's Ki, which had been on Ken's body, surged out of Ken's body and dissipated into the air.

"Fighter Ken Master is disqualified! Fighter Yamcha wins!" the announcer shouted, announcing Yamcha's victory and his entry into the 16 fighters.

...

"That was a good fight, Yamcha," Bulma said, so Yamcha did not know what to say and just lowered his head, but at least he could find the courage to answer her.

"Thank you..." muttered Yamcha, who received the touch from Krillin that brought him out of his brief stupor.

"I don't understand how you can be so strong and so shy, but you had a great fight, man," Krillin said, causing Yamcha to relax and even laugh.

"That guy is really strong, but he got distracted at the end," Yamcha explained modestly, but Goku shook his head.

"If it had been me, even if I couldn't fly, I would have attacked you constantly to prevent you from taking the opportunity, if that guy named Ken didn't stand still, he might have beaten you," Goku examined the fight Yamcha had, and his words made the young fighter nod.

"Yeah, we were even, but it looks like he didn't have much fighting experience. You know, when I was a bandit, I learned that the best defense is a good offense," Yamcha commented, remembering his past.

Just as they were about to continue their dialog, the screen showed the next fight, Goku against a strange guy named Man-Wolf. Although his name was strange, he had a pretty outstanding participation on the first night, so Goku was excited for this fight.

When Goku and Man-Wolf went to the arena, the young man felt strange, as if something was about to happen, but did not know what it was. Meanwhile, Man-Wolf was unusually serious, looking at Goku with scrutiny.

"Begin!" The starting gong was sounded and both fighters tensed, but Man-Wolf did something no one expected.

A small ball of white light appeared from his hand, and then that ball slowly floated up into the sky in front of everyone present, as well as the viewers at home.

"Hahahahahahaha! Now, under the light of my moon technique, I'm twice as strong, boy, now you're going to lose!" the Man-Wolf laughed as he felt the moonlight empowering him, and even his body grew larger, filling with muscles.

On the other hand, Goku looked at the strange moon in the sky and thought of the technique recorded on the ship that brought him to Earth, although the moonlight of the technique in front of him did not compare to the one he was able to create, Goku felt he finally understood the strangeness he felt.

He felt the familiar power in Man-Wolf, something similar to what he was capable of, hence the strangeness. But now, seeing how Man-Wolf seemed to enjoy his increased power, Goku clicked his tongue.

"Fool, you've only given me an advantage," Goku's words snapped Man-Wolf out of the euphoria he felt at his growing strength, and as he focused his attention on Goku, he felt something that made every hair on his body tingle.

Brutality. The small, monkey-tailed youth looked to his senses like a gigantic savage beast, something that made Man-Wolf take several steps back in shock. But when he realized that he was only a somewhat strong little boy, Man-Wolf went forward, stamping his feet.

His footsteps full of power left gaps and cracks in the arena floor, his ki swirling around him, the pressure in the arena increased, and small pebbles flew up due to the power Man-Wolf exuded.

"Kid, you only had a moderately interesting fight with that red-skinned guy, you can't fight me," with arrogance due to the exuberant power he felt at that moment, Man-Wolf tried to attack Goku with a claw, but Goku simply raised his hand to defend himself.

"I said you gave me the advantage," Goku said, his eyes turning red as the sound of his heart echoed over the noise of the crowd.

"What is going on?!! A strange change is happening in the body of the fighter Son Goku!" the announcer shouted, interested in what was going on.

Although he knew from the file Goku had provided that Goku could transform by observing the light of the full moon, there was no full moon tonight, but Man-Wolf's technique seemed to help him trigger such a transformation in the young man.

The sound of a huge drum resounded even through the televisions or computers of the spectators, who imagined they were in front of a huge creature just by hearing that rumble.

Before the eyes of everyone watching, Goku's body began to fill with thick brown hair, large fangs appeared in his mouth, his face changed and his muscles grew.

His entire body seemed to suddenly inflate, and his clothes adjusted to his growing height as his size not only swelled but also widened. Man-Wolf had to step back several feet and raise his head to see the massive being in front of him.

An Ozaru. Ozaru roared at the sky before striking him hard in the chest. Though his eyes were still red, Goku seemed to be in control of himself, not doing anything inappropriate or unnecessary, just looking down at the man-wolf.

"Fool," Ozaru said in a thick voice, slurring his words and with a strange accent, before bursting into laughter, if those sounds were laughter at all.

Goku wasted no time, he just kicked at Man-Wolf, who was too shocked to dodge or defend himself. His whole body was kicked surprisingly by an enormous weight and force, sending him flying out of the arena.

There was silence, not even Muten Roshi or the announcer spoke, they just stood there and watched the huge creature that Goku had transformed into, and after a long silence, someone in the audience began to shout.

"Son Goku! SonGoku! Son Goku! Son Goku! Son Goku! Son Goku!" Soon, many people joined that person, shouting Goku's name at the top of their lungs.

"What a turn of events! Fighter Man-Wolf has been disqualified, Fighter Son Goku wins!" with the words of the announcer, the shouts from the crowd grew stronger.

A smile appeared on the fierce face of Ozaru, who gradually lost his form until the young Saiyan appeared in his normal form, jumping with excitement in the arena.

When Goku returned to the area where he was fighting, Bulma's arm was around his neck, while the girl's hand ruffled his unusually coiffed hair. Though Goku tried to wriggle free, Bulma's strength was superior at this point.

"Show-off!" Bulma shouted at Goku, who, understanding the reason for his older sister's actions, simply burst out laughing without even responding.

On the other hand, Chi-Chi approached them and looked at Goku with an unusual gleam in her eyes. Although she knew Goku's Ozaru form, every time Goku tried it, it had always gone out of control.

It seemed that Goku had now taken control of this alternate form of his.
