Just when Siwaven thought he was doomed, the Steel Camp Genetic Warrior did not proceed to kill him; it seemed like he didn't notice his presence, and his gaze shifted away again.

"Quickly regroup and come back, the battle is over,"

the voice of Company Commander Cao Yangchun came through the earpiece. Shi Genshang responded and turned to leave the area.

Siwaven still didn't dare to move, although he could no longer hear the sound of gunfire or cannons elsewhere. The entire military camp was eerily quiet, as though the fighting had stopped.

But Siwaven had been so terrified by the Steel Camp Genetic Warrior that he just kept hiding, until more than an hour had passed.

After an hour with no signs of activity, Siwaven finally pushed off the half corpse that was on top of him and carefully crawled out of the shell hole.

What met his eyes was a scene of indistinguishable, mangled bodies strewn across the ground, a sight too horrific to bear.
