CXXII: Give It Another Go

Once she had taken her first step, her feet sank into the purple sand. The sand ate her feet all the way up her ankle, which made running a painful endeavor. But not lingering on this, Judith ran, pouring her everything into her run as she made her way forward.

'The distance isn't too much, if I try hard enough, I can make it.' Judith thought and gave a hundred and ten percent of herself into her dash.

By the time she had gone a quarter of the way, the statues had already gotten into place and already began trying to grab her. When the first hand came down to swoop her up, she felt her heart jolt out of her chest.

But acting on pure instinct, Judith slid under the massive arm. Successfully evading its grapple. Trying to use the momentum of her slide, she dug her leg into the ground so she was torqued onto her feet. Then she continued to run.
