CXXXII: The Long Wait

Wukong and Shen had retreated to their designated sleeping quarters, where they were surrounded by over a dozen Tethereds who were all busy snoring. Before coming here, Wukong wanted to ask for a personal room for him and Shen. But thinking on it, he decided it would be best to be surrounded by Tethereds who could protect one another in times trouble.

Or it could be the best hiding spot for an assassin. This thought did not escape Wukong. But weighing the option of being confined to a small room with just him and Shen there to fend off any would-be attackers, versus being in a wide room with several Tethereds there to jump in should they get attacked, the latter option was clearly the best.

Unable to sleep, Wukong had told Shen everything that was going on. From the contents of the letter to the Godshell. And he had expressed his unease that something sinister was brewing behind the walls of Nizen city.
