Book 3 Rise of a king
Raj knew Kenny was blocking his mental advances. She has erected barriers which he could easily break but it would hurt her.
So he decided not to penetrate her mind.
Instead he went to meet her face to face.
" She doesn't want to talk to you", said Rahul.
Kenny was standing with her back to him.
" I am not talking to your lapdog Kenny", he said. " If you are angry with me its between us."
" You need to leave", Rahul pushed him. He fell on the ground.
For a moment Kiara thought it would turn ugly.
" Oh no no"!. She rushed forward. Kenny turned. She was scared too.
But Raj merely got up, shook of the dust and said,
" Kenny just five minutes please".
Myra was in shock to see him so ..so..so... demure.
" Is there anything left to say now", asked Kenny. " You set out to destroy this place and you have succeded. Rahul worked hard for this project. So it must fail. So that at the cost of a thousand families you can prove he is not capable".
" Kenny stop", Rahul hugged her.
Raj felt a volcano erupting inside him.
He remained quiet.
" My love could not heal you Raj. I fell short. You are a desert where rain is wasted", continued Kenny.
She started crying. Raj felt like someone punched him in the gut.
" We can build up again Kenny. Calm down", said Rahul.
Kenny ignored him.
Like a wounded animal she turned to Raj...
" Tell me Raj weren't you planning this behind our backs since weeks now to jeopardise this project. Swear on your mother that you didn't", she asked.
" I DID", the confession was weak.
" Then what is left to say Raj", her shoulders dropped in defeat.
" I DIDN'T DO IT", he said painfully. " I COULDN'T ".
" Why can't", she asked. " Shiva knows you are ruthless enough to do it".
" Because I love you", he said.
Rahul laughed derisively.
" Kenny he is doing it again. Manipulating you", he said.
" Just like that Raj my love cured you", she asked him ignoring Rahul again.
" Yes", he answered simply.
He held her hands in his.
" Not a drop of that rain was wasted my love. It turned into a sweet river that quenched the thirst that this desert carried for years."
" Kenny", Rahul now was angry.
" Don't listen to him. He has practiced it. RIVERS GET LOST IN DESERT", he said.
Kenny staggered back.
" Some rivers get lost in desert you stupid girl. They never reach the sea".
" Why do you hurt me Sushant bhaiya", cried Gunjan.
" Because you are stupid and small and no match for my strong brother".
Raj saw her breathing heavily. His eyes became melted lava. He turned towards his brother. AND AS HE WALKED TOWARDS HIM KENNY SAW YAMA(God of death)
" Stop please", she held his hand.
He halted then turned back. She was crying.
" You will never dry up my love. I will never lose you", he said. " You are not just any river. You are my Ganga. YOU COMPLETE ME".
" You are my Ganga Gunjan. Without you I am incomplete", said Srikant.
" I love you", repated Raj.
" And I will prove to you that I am innocent".
He kissed her forehead, nose and pecked lightly on her lips.
" Get a move boys", he said. And he left.
" You should really know when to halt that useless mouth of yours", said Parry to Rahul.
" Yeah or we will have an extra chore of hiding a dead body", said Solly shaking his head.
Turning to Kenny he said
" If I breach a security I won't leave a trace."
He looked really offended.
Then the men left.
Raj met the old king outside Kenny's room
" I must say Raj", the old man coughed. " I never thought I could be wrong with you but you proved otherwise. I am really disappointed son".
" I didn't do it grandpa", he said. " Believe me".
But the old man continued
" I saw this destruction in your eyes the day you returned from USA. I thought Kenny could bring you back. But Raj I am not angry. If it quenches your desire to avenge your father I'll sacrifice a thousand Bhishma".
" Grandpa I would be on my knees begging you if I would have done it", said Raj. " But I will find the rat and bring him to you. I vow grandpa. Its not the end. Its the rise. Rise of a king".
He touched his grandfather's feet and left.
Needless to say Alok and Salman were angry with their wards.
" Maddy you should have stopped him from doing this", said Alok. " Didn't I tell you the difference between justice and vendetta. "
" Appa I know Raj. He didn't do it. Trust me".
Alok was skeptical
Solly on the other hand was surprisingly more successful in convincing Salman.
" I don't believe you could use a fuel to burn in a room which is filled with electric wires", he said. " You are not that sloppy ", he said to his son. " You also won't leave an evidence like pen cap behind.
Solly was stunned. So was Alok.
" You trust them", he asked Salman.
" My son is a better planner than this", scoffed Salman.
" Wow", said Solly .
" But I am disappointed that you let that bug get away", smiled his father.
" The hell I will", said Solly. " The b*st*rd will face the music on attributing this subpar work on me".
" Good then lets start the work", said Salman. " Shall we"?
Solly hugged his father. Tears of happiness came out. They were now really united as a team.
" Glory to our king", said Maddy.
Meanwhile
Raj was standing with Parry when he saw Myra come to his room.
" No Myra", said Parry anticipating her anger. " Please don't blast on him now. He is not ready. And I assure you he didn't do it".
Myra looked at Raj.
" No Parry let her speak", said Raj. " Yes Ms. Deshmukh ", he said. " Start degrading me. I am all ears".
" Myra I assure you he is innocent", Parry tried again.
" I BELIEVE YOU", she said as the two men were stunned.
" I know you are innocent Raj. No proofs needed . I just know. Maybe give it to my years spend as an agent. I know you were not lying. AND I AM WITH YOU ON THIS. YOU ARE MY KING. Prove that you are worthy of it", she said.
" I will", said Raj. " Not because I wish to ascend that throne. Not even because I am innocent. Or not to win that war. Not even for my love Kenny", he halted.
" BUT FOR THAT FAITH THAT PEOPLE OF JUNAGARH SHOWED IN ME. Their king will rise for them.
Somewhere Gautam's spirit smiled.
Aditya has cleared the first exam.
He was innocent. And now ready to lead and not rule. He now has become the rightful heir.
The king has truly risen
