The Beginning

Is this really our only option my love,do we really have to do this to her...

She's barely a day old, don't take her away from me!!! the woman begged her husband

She's my daughter too,I'm feel broken too

But the kingdom comes first,we have to adhere to the prophecy if we want her to live at least the Man angrily replied.

Stop being selfish Matilda,we will get to watch her grow from here and protect her from her powers the man uttered defeated.

She will hate us Jeff, she will despise us for leaving her,I don't think I can bare the thought of it she cried as she kissed her daughter faced again and again as if imprinting her face in her memory.

The council has decided and as the leaders of the kingdom we have to adhere Jeff said clenching his hands.

Bring the baby along my love let's go,we don't have much time.

Can we at least name her Jeff,I'm not asking for anything else I just want to name my baby Matilda uttered looking determined.

You just gave birth my love, you have to look after your health, calm down and take a breath,Jeff walked towards her while concern was itched on his face.

Let's name her that's the least we could do for our baby before abandoning her in that cruel world Jeff said looking at his wife lovingly.

Camilla,She shall be called Camilla because she indeed is perfect Matilda said while looking at her daughter crying.

Jeff who was trying to hold it together looked away from the duo as he let a lone tear fall from his eyes.

Camilla he uttered as he turned around and carried his daughter.

Camilla he repeated as he stared as his daughter who he would be giving away for someone else to raise.

As if hearing her father's thoughts Camilla started crying and Jeff tried to stop her from crying as he cuddled her.

It was late in the evening, with two people walking towards a narrow path discreetly.

After dropping the basket on the path and making sure it was secure, they disappeared from the scene and reappeared on the tree above watching the basket the kept on the ground.

Are you sure the couple would walk through this path today Jeff it is way past their routine.

Matilda questioned impatiently.

They will...he was cut off when he heard a sound not too far away from them.

They are here he announced while Matilda became more nervous as she set her sights onto the middle aged couple coming.

Oh Mark how good would it be if we adopted a baby,we are not getting young anymore Julia asked her husband as the walked home after coming back from a stroll.

What ever you want honey,as long as it makes you happy then I'm happy Mark assured while looking at her with love.

They laughed as the went through some of the events that happened during the day.

Suddenly they stopped when the heard a crying sound.

Realizing the sound was coming from a basket they walked past without noticing it was there earlier.

The walked back to the basket and while Mark was still contemplating if it would be a wise decision to open the basket,Julia stretched out her hand and took off the cover.

The both gasped seeing that it was truly a baby that was in the basket.

Joy,relief, happiness, fear they didn't know which emotion to fully feel without the other trying to over take.

Julia pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming,Mark she called out.

Is this really happening she asked and

Mark who was still reeling from the shock snapped out as he heard the question.

We are truly going to become parents Julia shouted as Mark put a hand over her mouth to prevent her from shouting.

Mark who was still in his right senses stood up and look around trying to ascertain if the baby was truly abandoned or if the baby was forgotten when his eyes caught a paper sticking out of the basket which his wife overlooked when she carried the baby in her arms.

He bent downed and pock the paper and it addressed.

"Dear human couple,I hope this present finds you well.i choose to let you raise my daughter because of a reason and I hope you won't let me down, take care of my daughter and let her know when she grows up that her parents loves her and she has a greater purpose to fulfill. Camilla, that's her name.

Mark didn't know how to feel knowing that the baby was left for them to truly find and be looked up and smiled to the heavens thanking them for the opportunity.

He searched the basket once more and discovered box which held a necklace which he knew would be fir the baby when she came of age.

Among other things he found that made him truly believe that the baby came from a wealthy family was gold, lots of gold and he knew right then that they were being blessed with riches along with the baby.

He looked around once more and shouted

I know you are still here but I don't know where, thank you for trusting us with you child and giving us enough funds to change our situation.Thank you he said as he bowed.

Julia who didn't know what was going on allow stood up with the child in her arms and bowed while thanking the unseen individuals.

After that Mark carried the basket and led his wife and the newest addition in their family home.

The two individuals on the tree couldn't help but weep as the held themselves, knowing fully well that it would be the last time the were this near to their daughter.

Mark Shut the door immediately him and his wife arrived home.

They made space for the baby to lie down as the held each other while looking at her.

We are really going to become parents Mark,Julia uttered happily.

The parents of the kid prepared everything to Make it easier for us to to train and claim the child in case of any problem.

Knowing fully well that this is a mixed city filled with humans and werewolves I don't even want to trace who her parents are Mark said while looking at the baby sleeping.

It doesn't matter,I don't care which race she belongs to Mark, all that matters is that she's ours now Julia seconded.

Let just sign the certificate and put away the necklace until she comes of age to wear it.

After the finished everything, the put the documents and box away while coming to a conclusion to move from there current house to another with more space to accommodate the child.

They made dinner and fed the baby with the milk the found in the basket knowing fully well that it was probably the mother's last gift to the baby.
