While the Guide adjusts to his new life and role, the esper wrestles with his haunted past and growing responsibilities. Together, they uncover a disturbing pattern behind the dungeon outbreaks, suggesting a larger, sinister plot at play.

Amid the chaos, the guide grapples with losing his former life and his growing attachment to his esper, while the looming danger threatens to push them—and their fragile trust—apart. Every decision they make could determine the city's fate, or possibly the entire world.

The boat turned back on, and the driver performed the quickest u-turn Penn had ever experienced on open waters - with Nathan grabbing hold around his waist so the Guide didn't go overboard. Even at the highest speed, it would take them between fifteen to twenty minutes to return to the harbor. The Esper's grip was firm, while Penn's jaw clenched in frustration.

When they finally reached close enough to see the harbor, Penn took out his phone to check for updates. He didn't have to search long, as the news and all media-sharing sites were sharing videos and photos of live reactions.
