The Day The God Contractor Fell In Love
Spring, Senior Year of Highschool, 12 years ago
Silas sighed, frustrated at the rowdiness of his fellow classmates as he climbed onto the bus. He honestly disliked school field trips, being the homebody he was. He preferred keeping to himself if it meant that his classmates wouldn't tease him about being short.
Standing at five foot four, Silvanus Makris was the shortest boy in his class. His teachers praised him for being patient. But in reality, he just didn't care enough to get worked up over it. Both his birthday and graduation were nearing soon, so he wouldn't need to put up with it for much longer.
Silas moved to sit at the front of the bus, behind the teacher's seat. He looked out the window as the students filed on one after another, no one choosing to sit beside him. Not that he minded. He felt mentally older than everyone in his class, who enjoyed to good around. Loud and rowdy.
