A former soldier, becomes a newly awakened Guide at 27, struggling to adapt to his role. Paired with an S-ranked Hunter, a reckless veteran esper, he faces the daunting challenge of navigating deadly dungeons filled with nightmarish creatures. Their partnership is strained—A disciplined and methodical solider, and an esper who's impulsive and dismissive of rules.

As dungeons appear more frequently, each mission tests their limits and teamwork. While the Guide adjusts to his new life and role, the esper wrestles with his haunted past and growing responsibilities. Together, they uncover a disturbing pattern behind the dungeon outbreaks, suggesting a larger, sinister plot at play.

Amid the chaos, the guide grapples with losing his former life and his growing attachment to his esper, while the looming danger threatens to push them—and their fragile trust—apart. Every decision they make could determine the city's fate, or possibly the entire world.

NOTE: This is a slow-burn light-romance BL. It means there are no mature or sexual themes, and it focuses on action, plot, character growth, and relationships between characters and their adversaries.

The door slammed shut behind the boy, enough to cause the wall to shake. A standard tantrum for an angry teen. The delicate young man kicked off his running shoes, stomping his feet up the grand staircase to his room, before slamming the door once more.

"Daniel William Parker! How dare you treat my house with such disrespect!" boomed an angry, elder man's voice from the other side. "Open this door right now!"

"No!" Daniel yelled, throwing his pillow at the locked door. He huffed large breaths, shoulders rising and falling with the deep and heavy breaths. A pounding was heard from the door moments later.

"Unlock this door right now, young man!" the voice grew more angry, and Daniel shuddered as he backed up from the door, fearing when it would open. "Why are you acting like such a selfish brat? I didn't raise you this way! Guides are supposed to be gentle and obedient!"
