Once the police took Adam's body, Frank ordered the servants to sanitize the entire living room. The pungent smell of blood lingered in the air and it was nauseating.
"Did you find anything in the CCTV cameras?" Sienna questioned Frank, once he was done supervising the cleaning.
"No, Miss. Whoever poisoned Adam was brilliant. They managed to evade all the cameras."
"Hmm." Sienna wasn't surprised. She had expected it. The culprit was clever. It wouldn't be easy finding them. Now that the police had been involved and all the guards were under suspicion, they would be cautious and try to attract less attention to them.
"It's become complicated now," she mused, tapping her fingers against her elbow. "What about Kyrell Winchester? Did you find anything about him or his agency?"
"Yes, Miss. I have. This is the file." Frank handed her the file, containing the information he had compiled in a short time. "Give me more time, Miss. I'll find more."
Sienna nodded and a thought sprang in her mind. "Keep a watch out the next few days. Dane might try to visit me."
"What are you going to do, Miss? Do you want to..."
"Break up with him? Yes. Why would I want to be such a scumbag?" Sienna answered him before he asked her.
"Miss?" Frank didn't understand where this was going. Scumbag? What did Dane do?
"Oh, I forgot to tell you or anyone in the family before. Dane has been sleeping with that woman who was sent to the police station two days ago. What's her name again?" Sienna frowned, trying to recall the woman's name.
"Celia, Miss," Frank replied immediately even though he was stunned by her revelation. "When did this happen?"
"I found out two weeks ago before he went to Sydney. He hadn't contacted me much since then. So, I forgot to inform everyone."
Frank stood in shock as he tried the digest the truth. Dane seemed like a nice man. Who knew he'd be a douchebag?
"Do you want me to continue my relationship with him?" Sienna quirked her brows amusedly. Her expression showed that she was unaffected by the truth. Instead, she seemed apathetic, as if it didn't matter who Dane slept with.
"Miss, do you think Celia and Dane are plotting something?" Frank was apprehensive and controlled his desire to punch the man he had once considered to be good for his Miss.
"You'll have to ask them. How would I know?" Sienna shrugged lightly.
"Miss, what do we do now?" Frank was perturbed. He felt his head spin due to the complications and danger around them. Everyone was planning something, each more dangerous than the other, and all of it was aimed at Sienna.
How much could Sienna withstand? If this continued, she'd crumble sooner or later.
All of a sudden, Frank was worried for the poor woman. A lot had happened in the last few days and a lot more was bound to happen in the future. How was she going to cope?
As if reading his mind, Sienna smiled sadly and said, "I'll be fine, Frank."
"Miss?"
"Just don't betray me. I may not be able to withstand it if you end up betraying me as well."
Frank's eyes watered and he shook his head. "No, Miss Lawerence. I'm indebted to the Lawrence family. I'll never betray you, neither will my family. You have my word."
"I trust you, Frank. Your family is the only one I can trust in this world. Thank you for being here for me."
Sienna was genuinely grateful for his loyalty and help. If he too had been a traitor, she'd have lost her mind long ago.
"You have worked hard. Take a day off and accompany Agnes and Anthony."
"No, Miss. I won't," Frank rejected her suggestion instantly. Her life was in danger and she had no one protecting her. He couldn't leave her alone.
"Frank..."
"Miss, pardon me for my impudence. Even if you command me to, I'll not leave you alone. You aren't safe alone and I won't risk it." Frank shook his head vehemently.
"But Anthony..."
"Miss, Agnes and Anthony will understand. They are safe. No one will hurt them."
Sienna gave up persuading him when she realized that he wouldn't listen. "Fine, at least rest for some time. You didn't rest well last night and don't argue with me on this. I won't listen," she added when she saw him ready to object.
Frank didn't fight with her this time. "Please call me if you need anything, Miss."
"I will. Now, shoo, go. Rest for some time."
Sienna didn't open the file until she was alone in her room. Finding a comfortable position on the bed, she opened the document and went through it carefully.
Frank had compiled as much information as he could about Kyrell and his security agency.
Sienna was impressed. Kyrell had served in the Marines before he opened the private security agency. Most members had once served in the military or had obtained intense training before being selected.
Kyrell had a lot of achievements to his name and the Cheetah Corps had served a lot of people, accepting both private and military requests.
Once again, the thought she had pushed away previously came back to her mind and she bit her lip.
'Can I trust him?' she wondered, staring at his photo in the file. "Will you not betray like the others?"
Sienna didn't have time to dwell upon it for her phone went off. It was an unfamiliar number and her heart speed picked up when she remembered the strange message she had received at the hospital.
Hesitatingly, she answered the call, only to scowl when she heard the familiar voice.
"Sienna, why did you block me?" Dane's annoyed voice fell on her ears and she frowned in anger.
"Dane, it's good that you called. I have something to tell you." Sienna didn't beat around the bush and decided to end things with the man directly.
"Sienna, why are you scaring me?" Dane's voice quivered and Sienna rolled her eyes at his acting. If she didn't know his truth, she might have fallen for his lies.
"Dane, I don't think it's going to work out between us. Let's end it."
"But Sienna..."
"Dane, take it as if we aren't meant for each other."
"No, Sienna. You can't do this to me. Why..."
"Dane, I still have a lot of work to do. I'm going to end the call. Take care."
Sienna ended the call before the man could speak and blocked his new number as well. She didn't mention anything about Celia or the fact that she knew the truth. Since Celia and Dane were still in the dark, it would give her an upper hand.
After all, knowledge was power and she needed this power to outwit her enemies.
