Decision

Kyrell considered Sienna's question and the situation. Her going to meet the unknown person on Saturday was a risky move.

Either Sienna would actually find something valuable related to her family's brutal murders, or she would, instead, be lured into a trap and be attacked.

Kyrell rubbed his forehead with his index finger, trying to find the best possible solution without putting Sienna in danger.

"I'd suggest you don't go," he said after thinking for some time. "There's a risk, and considering that your life is in danger, it's better to be safe."

Sienna had the same thoughts as well. If the mysterious person really wanted to reveal some secrets to her, he wouldn't have asked her to meet her alone at a planetarium that wasn't visited by people much.

The place was also ginormous. If she were attacked there, it wouldn't be easy for her to find help. Whoever asked her to meet them alone had ill intentions.

"I had the same thoughts. If the person really wanted to share something important, they could have sent me the message. Why did they ask to meet me in person?" Sienna's thoughts aligned with Kyrell's.

"Miss Lawrence, have you learned self-defense?" Kyrell asked, glad that Sienna was smart enough to see the problem.

"Unfortunately, no. I never had the time, although I did want to sign up for Krav Maga or Jiu Jitsu." Sienna sighed, regretting not signing up for some self-defense classes when she had the time.

"Would you mind if I were to teach you some moves?" Kyrell asked, noticing her distressed expression. Although it wouldn't be of great help if she faced an armed attacker or someone skilled at martial arts, she could still defend herself if she was ever in danger whenever he wasn't around.

"That would be great." Sienna's eyes lit up instantly. "How about every evening after work?"

"Works for me." Kyrell shrugged lightly. The schedule didn't matter to him. They were working on her time.

"Brilliant."

The office intercom buzzed and Sienna nodded at him before returning to her desk.

"Yes?"

"Miss Lawrence, Mr. Dane Ledger is here to meet you," the receptionist at the company entrance said. Sienna groaned, suddenly feeling a mild headache. Although she didn't want to meet him, she had to make some matters clear to him.

"Send him up."

Sienna rolled her eyes, utterly done with her life. 'Why is everything so complicated? Can't I have some moments of peace?'

"Are you alright, Miss Lawrence?" Kyrell saw her weary face and felt terrible for her.

"I'm fine." Sienna patted her cheeks and sat up straight. "Things might get nasty soon. Please bear with it."

Kyrell didn't know what she was referring to and Sienna didn't explain much either.

Sienna had little time to prepare when the door opened without a knock, and Dane entered, his eyes filled with disappointment and frustration.

"Sienna..." he stopped when he noticed a strange man in her office. "Who's he?"

Sienna just stared at him coldly as she sat in her chair, not bothering to reply.

"Why are you here?" she asked, her voice dripping with venom.

"Sienna, can we talk in private?" Dane turned to Kyrell. "You, get out."

Kyrell was watching Sienna and the man silently when he was suddenly yelled at. Yet, he didn't react or respond, and sat still, ready to take action if the man were to pull a stunt.

"Keep your voice low. This isn't your property to bark like a dog." Sienna was irate. She never tolerated people disrespecting anyone she cared about and Kyrell had somehow managed to enter the list of people she cared about.

"Sienna..." Dane was taken aback by the sheer amount of anger in her eyes. She had never lost her temper before him previously.

"It's Miss Lawrence to you." Sienna deadpanned, cutting all strings of the relationship between them.

"Sienna, why are you acting this way? Did something happen? Did someone say something?" Dane subconsciously glanced at the man seated on the couch and Sienna rolled her eyes in dismay.

"Didn't I tell you that our relationship is over? Why are you here?" she questioned harshly, not bothering to put a leash on her fury.

"But why, Sienna? Why are you ending our relationship? Did something happen? Are you depressed because of everything that happened?" Dane didn't give up either and argued back. "Why do you have to break up with me when we can overcome the vulnerable period together?"

By now, Kyrell had understood who the man was. Dane Ledger, Sienna's supposedly ex-boyfriend.

Even though he was meeting the man for the first time, he felt a strong sense of deceptiveness from him. The man wasn't at all genuine and his fake acting of being concerned made him feel repulsive.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Sienna folded her hands and quirked a brow condescendingly. "Did you even remember me when you were trying to get into someone else's pants the night before you left for Sydney?"

Dane was speechless, and his face lost all color. "How..." He cleared his throat before changing his words. "There must be a misunderstanding. I didn't..."

"I saw you two making out and stripping each other. I was presented with live porn when all I had come for was to speak to you about something," Sienna said with evident repugnance. "I had to cleanse my eyes to remove that disgusting image."

"Sienna, I..." Dane didn't know what to say.

"Now, will you leave by yourself or do you want me to call the security?"

"Sienna, can we not do this?" Dane asked, distraught. "Think about my father. He was friends with your father."

"Due to the sole reason that Mr. Ledger was friends with my father, I'm giving you the option to leave without being humiliated. If you want, I can ensure you're hurled onto the streets."

Sienna didn't budge under his gaze, giving him a look that indicated she preferred the second option.

Dane was crestfallen. He looked at her, upset. With himself or her? Sienna didn't care.

Dane wasn't worth her time. The air had become unbreathable in his presence and she desperately wanted him gone so that she could cleanse the place.
