Rising the hotness in the gym - Part 2

"Miss Lawrence, I heard you have a shooting range. May we use it?" Kyrell asked, looking at Sienna in a cryptic way.

Sienna squinted her eyes and examined him calmly. "How do you know? Did Frank tell you?"

Kyrell just beamed at her, not telling her much about it. His silence was his answer and Sienna understood that it wasn't Frank. Kyrell had already done his homework before entering the Lawrence Estate.

"I need to be wary of you," she commented more to herself as she approached one of the doors in the gym, right by the dumbbell stand.

The door wasn't locked and she entered the staircase that spiralled down with Kyrell behind her.

When the sensor lights lit up, detecting their presence, Kyrell looked down to see a shooting range smaller than the gym.

Surprisingly, there were no weapons in the shooting range. Except for a small gun and a few boxes of dummy bullets, he didn't find anything else.

Noticing his puzzled expression, Sienna understood what was running in his mind and sighed softly.

"All the guns are in either Dad's room or Travis' room. They didn't trust some of the servants," she said, realizing how bang on their intuition had been. "Dad bought this gun so that Leah and I could learn to use one. But..." Sienna shrugged, cursing herself for not learning when she had the time.

"No problem, Miss Lawrence. We can start with this one, and once you are comfortable, we can use an actual gun."

"And how long would that be?" Sienna asked, curious to find out how long it would take her to use an actual gun and get a license.

"That depends on how quickly you learn. If you're good, a week maybe," Kyrell said honestly. It wasn't that hard to master a gun. It all depended on how quickly a person was able to grasp the weapon.

"Oh..."

"Shall we start, Miss Lawrence?" Kyrell asked, picking up the gun that had obviously been modeled for people who had no experience in handling one. He filled it with the dummy bullets and handed it to her.

Sienna geared up first and took the gun. She examined it and approached the shooting range. Sucking in a deep breath, she gripped the weapon with her right hand while her left hand supported it, ready to shoot at her target.

Kyrell just observed her, his eyes fixed on her and her body instead of her mark. She was far off from the correct stance and expectedly, her aim was far from being passable.

Sienna snuck out her tongue, embarrassed to have made a fool out of herself. She glanced at Kyrell who was watching her seriously. He didn't mock her for her terrible work.

Instead, he just stepped forward with an assuring smile.

"Miss Lawrence, let me." He took the gun from her and Sienna moved away, allowing him to take over. "Watch me carefully. Your feet must align with your shoulders."

Kyrell spread his feet wide apart and Sienna noticed they were as wide apart as his shoulders.

"When you aim, relax your shoulders. Your aim must be in line with your sight. Don't look at anything else but your target and here," Kyrell stood in position and Sienna was awestruck by his perfect pose. He looked like a hunter. His eyes were sharp, his stance impeccable.

Subconsciously, Sienna's heart skipped a beat, and a strange feeling started bubbling in her heart. For a moment, everything around them dimmed and it was just Kyrell and her. His dazzling aura allured her and Sienna looked at him with shining eyes.

The loud shot brought her out of her trance and she noticed the man had hit the bullseye.

Sienna was impressed. Even though they had begun in the 50m range, she was amazed by him. Kyrell surely knew what he was doing and she did not doubt that he would easily hit the bullseyes in the other ranges as well.

"Did you understand, Miss Lawrence?" Kyrell asked and Sienna nodded, hiding the truth from him.

How could she reveal that her thoughts had strayed away from his lesson in the middle and she had started to admire him instead? Wouldn't that put her in a bad light?

Sienna remained silent and Kyrell too didn't doubt her as he handed the gun back to her.

"Good. Now, it's your turn."

Sienna gulped, licking her lips softly as she made her way to the front. Following his instructions as much as she could remember, she spread her legs, aligning her feet with her shoulders. But she didn't remember anything after that.

Sienna's aim was completely off and Kyrell frowned when he saw it. Instinctively, he moved until he was standing directly behind her. His two arms wrapped lightly around hers, holding the gun tight.

Sienna was startled by the sudden touch and instinctively turned behind to look at the man. She subconsciously straightened her back, trying to avoid him. But it only served to do the opposite and Kyrell moved until there wasn't any gap between them. His chest was pressed against her back.

The size difference between the two was amazing. One was tall and sturdy while the other was dainty and slender. In this position, it was almost as if he was embracing her.

Sienna's thoughts were a mess and she stared at his Adam's apple as it bobbed slightly every time he spoke. She had never imagined she'd one day find a man's Adam's apple sexy.

The temperature around her increased and her heartbeat raced. All his instructions flew over her head, his mind filled with him and his strong hold.

Sienna didn't know why, but she suddenly wanted to hug him. It was as if his embrace was the safest place in the world. With him around, nothing ever would happen to her.

Kyrell sensed a scorching gaze on him and he looked down immediately. His eyes widened when he realized how close they were. It seemed as if he was almost hugging her from behind. And surprisingly, he wasn't repulsed by it. He didn't even perceive what he was doing when he stepped behind her to adjust her stance. It had all been spontaneous.

Kyrell's heart pounded madly as he saw her brown eyes, especially when he saw himself in them. It was as if he was the only one she saw, the only one in the whole world who had captured her attention.

Already, he admired the woman for she had impressed him time and again, and this respect had been evident even before he had met her. Now, with her in his arms, as she looked at him in such proximity and dependence, it only made his heart melt into a mess.

Subconsciously, his eyes lowered to her moist lips and his hold on her hands tightened. His heart wasn't in his control anymore. But his mind was still rational and he forced his desires out, shutting them up and locking them away before he did something without thinking. Although he wouldn't hate it, it couldn't be said the same about Sienna.

Clearing his throat to ease the awkwardness between them, he adjusted her position before saying, "Miss Lawrence, your aim should always be on the bullseye. Now, give it a shot."

Sienna snapped out of her stupor when the hot body behind her moved away. Regret flashed in her eyes and she lowered her head for a moment, hiding her feelings from him.

Once she raised her head, her expression was calm and incomprehensible. Her longing and attraction for him had vanished completely.

Taking in a deep breath, she aimed at her target. Although she missed the bullseye, she managed to hit the target, not knowing that somewhere far away someone had already targetted her, planning their next move to destroy her.
