Chapter 1

"Oh, my lady Taya, we lose control of the cart; we are heading towards the..."

Before the cart driver continued his screaming, the horses started to erupt and jog more quickly; out of the blue, a voice of a body hitting the ground hard scared the lady who was on her nerves.

It's the driver's body lying cold on the ground, and this cart was death heading towards the cliff at an insane speed.

'Oh lord, what's going on here?'

She thought, while putting her hand on her heart, she was terrified and scared; her heart ached to the extent of bleeding.

Her life did not go as she badly wanted; it started from her tragic childhood, and even her marriage did not work, and now her cart was under attack; she felt pathetic.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, an arrow pierced her left arm. She felt as if her heart had stopped beating; the amount of pain was indescribable. "Anyone, please help me, Orig my husband, please?"

She uttered, demanding the warm hand, perhaps her husband's hug, but this was like a fantasy.

At that moment the cart crashed to the ground, and as soon as it fell down the cliff, Taya hit her head with a large rock, which led to severe bleeding; she was barely able to open her eyes.

"Am I going to die like this, sad, miserable, broken, huh? What a ridiculous one. I don't even know who managed to kill me. Is it possible that Orig was behind this? No, it can't be. I love him; after all, I am his wife."

Those were her words that she uttered before slowly closing her eyes, and her heart was running out of beats.

The place was surrounded by dense trees and the pure smell of grass that was stained with her blood. She was still wearing her wedding ring, holding it tightly.

______

"Wake up, Mrs. Taya; your father, the Duke, is waiting for you in the hall."

Taya heard the maid's words, who had spent more than five minutes standing on the side of the bed, asking her to get up in a loud voice, as if she were addressing a mere lazy maid.

"Oh, why do I feel so dizzy?" She said, slowly opening her eyes, that the memories of the accident that she was exposed to make her feel weak every time she tries to remember the details of what happened.

Taya threw the blanket away and headed towards the large mirror, which showed a body with hot curves that were precisely carved, her silky red hair, which covered her back, and her snowwhite skin, which was softer than the skin of infants.

"Hey, of course this is me, but why do I look younger? Wait a moment, am I alive?"

Taya asked in a tense voice, pinching herself several times, just to make sure she was already alive and was not dreaming. The maid believed that her lady had lost her mind.

"Lady Taya, what are you going to wear at your 18th birthday party? Guess what? There are a dozen princes and rich nobles in the capital and even beyond who will attend the party in your honor."

The maid said, trying to drag her lady to act like her usual self, she turned her gaze to Taya, who sat on the bed, lost of sense.

"The eighteenth, damn it is unreasonable, has the damned fate given me another chance? huh! a second chance before the beginning of my nightmares, "

Taya whispered, ignoring the speech of her maid, who grinned at the strange lady's behavior.

'She did not and will not dare to not respond to anyone, even the servants; she is afraid of everyone without exception; her character was marginal; and she always remained calm, not reacting at her room.'

The maid let out a long sigh, wondering who was this lady for real.

Cutting their thoughts, the door was hit hard until it almost broke. The maid pulled back quickly when a tall man entered, with his long white hair and his sharp blue eyes, which especially looked like Taya's, but they carried a great deal of hatred toward her.

"What are you doing here yet, O shame of my life? Didn't I ask for your coming more than half an hour ago? Am not making myself clear, damn you?"

He puffed his poisoning words, like the sword that cuts her poor heart.

She knew him with certainty; from that scar in the middle of his forehead, he was proud to get it; it was from the last war of the kingdoms he participated in and won the Royal Medal of Courage by the former king.

"Father,"

She hissed as her body shivered when her eyes fell on his sharp, cold ones, which swear to her death between his hands.

If she opened her mouth and uttered a single letter, or if she did not give him an explanation, he would cut off her tongue no matter what; he was her heartless father, Duke Rodolphe Diduchi.

"Ah!"

Taya swallowed her saliva and tightened her fist on the bed when he slapped her to fall on, letting her hair flew to cover her face in a spitting way. She felt like there was a fire burning inside her heart. Again, could she bear this torture? Was she going to watch his harsh treatment towards her and continue to be silent while lowering her head like this?

'No, not again, not in this life,'

She said to herself, trying to hold on to him, though she was still trembling, affected by his presence.

"Some candidates will come to marry you at today's party; prepare yourself; you have to get someone's attention; you will be the share of those who pay me more; I bet you can seduce one with this body."

Her father said in a cold tone, as if he considered her as a cheap good that was easy to replace.
