Chapter 6

"O Duke, I am ready to marry your daughter today, and I will pay a hundred times the amount that this scum has paid. What do you say?"

Orig tone came cold while staring at Taya's father, and without his sword coming out of the mouth of the crown prince's brother, a number of Orig's servants surrounded the place, carrying plates of gold coins and a lot of jewelry.

'This is the worst and coldest prince of the Tulip province of Oz, and at the same time, this is an insult to the brother of the crown prince. Orig is a suspicious person who has a history full of murders and assassinations.'

Thought Taya's father, who grinned as he approached Orig. Taya's heartbeat was accelerating.

"I don't want to be a maidservant of this loser," Taya whispered, secretly praying for Orig to save her from this danger.

"Sorry, your majesty, but Taya will go with the one who pays me more. Anyway, I have a lot of debts."

Taya's father said as he shook hands with Orig, who quickly pulled his sword out of the crown prince's mouth, deliberately leaving a small wound to teach him a lesson he would never forget.

"Prince Orig, come here to discuss the rest of the arrangements," Taya's father said, as he told his maids to take Taya to her room. The sight of those gold coins shocked Lucy.

"One piece from those golden coins will guarantee a family of three members for a year."

Taya's father did not believe that Prince Orig would pay all this money just to get his daughter, whom he considered a source of shame and misfortune.

While Taya was walking in a circular motion inside her room, not knowing what she had to do with this big matter, she sighed and said to herself,

"I don't deny that I had feelings for Orig, but those feelings only brought me sorrow; he simply didn't care about me. My marriage to him is inevitable; if I don't marry him, I will become a maid for that pervert, and I will definitely never plan to experience the life of persecution and misery."

It was late when the maid asked her to come to the meeting room. She went to the room with heavy steps, flashing back to all her worst days with Orig.

Taya turned back, but she did not find the maid who told her that her father wanted to talk to her. There was only Orig standing there by the window, with his full elegance.

"Where is my father? Are you the one who told the maid to bring me to you, Orig?"

Taya asked, looking into Orig's eyes as if she were challenging him to do something with her while they were alone.

'Again, Orig without a title, damn it, who does she think she is that she talks to me like this? Doesn't she know who I am?'

He said to himself as he moved closer to her.

"We are getting married; what's the point of touching you? And by the way, Lady Taya, let me introduce myself properly."

She interrupted his speech with a provocative laugh as she walked towards him in a few light steps.

"You're the first prince of the kingdom of Tulip. I don't want to list your history in wars and murders, but let me move along to your personality."

She sighed, watching his reaction change.

"You have such a weak personality; you use crooked methods to vent your problems; you only listen to your grandfather's talk, and all your decisions are affected by the mood of your stepmother; you are always a tool that hates playing its role and wants to be liberated."

Taya quickly said her phrases, which made Orig lose control of himself. His sword came out and hit the wall in front of her.

"These movements would have scared me in the past, but I am not the old Taya, and you will listen to what I say; do you understand? I don't want a simple wedding. I want everyone in the kingdom to know that you will be my husband, clear!"

Taya ordered him.

'Has this lady lost her mind?'

Before Orig could comment on her speech, Taya's father joined them. Bust did not back down but rather came close to Orig and said,

"You have to hold a huge wedding, or else you will not be able to save your men who were arrested on charges of attempting to assassinate the Crown Prince in your place."

Taya's talk about his plans compelled him to curb his anger.

"Prince Orig suggested that our wedding be held in the Great Hall tomorrow morning, and he asked that all princes and nobles be invited."

She uttered to her father as she went out, leaving the two of them to argue her discussion.

"Didn't we agree that you will take her and your wedding will be in your kingdom? What has changed?"

Taya's father asked while Orig remained silent for a while.

"I changed my mind; as Lady Taya said, a big wedding will take place. I will leave the arrangements to you; the financial costs will be my responsibility."

Orig said, and he went out to catch up with Taya. She still had a lot to explain; she couldn't just talk that way. He hadn't actually planned to make her the authority in this relationship.

'Has he changed his mind as soon as Taya spoke to him? No, no, that doesn't make sense; he's well-known for being stubborn; he doesn't listen to anyone's decisions.'

Her father thought, not expecting Taya to get such luxurious treatment.

Even Taya herself wasn't sure that Orig would carry out her orders. She finished her milk bath, and the maids prepared her wedding dress all night while she thought about how to handle the so-called Orig.

"I have to win his heart in order to survive."

She whispered, with her hand on her heart.
