Chapter 119: Formal Confrontation

"Sure enough, in addition to the 'chess pieces' here, they are also present."

"Then it's no wonder the test subjects will be killed; the test subjects are definitely no match for them."

Beneath the dark clouds, the tall Tester with long silver hair took control of the massive Manta Ray Suit behind her back.

She gazed at the intense exchange of fire between the carrier-based aircraft in the sky, her grim smile unwavering.

Despite the fact that Sirens were constantly being destroyed and falling from the sky, the entire Siren fleet continued to move at full speed.

Each Siren had access to a shared real-time combat information system.

The Subjects learned of Zeppelin's existence from the aerial combat taking place in the night sky.

"It's strange why they've come here and why they are fighting alongside the chess pieces."

"This is completely inconsistent with the deductions of the natural calculation system. What could be the reason?"

The Subject's dark golden eyes remained bright.

She was one of the senior Sirens in the entire Siren testing agency, responsible for intelligence gathering.

Unlike the Purifier, her combat power may not be as strong, but her ability to analyze intelligence at high speed surpassed that of the Purifier.

"Regardless, we need to eliminate them, and then we'll know why."

"I'm not here to play around with you this time."

As the Siren fleet launched a large number of carrier-based aircraft, the Tester sneered. The chess pieces posed no threat to her at all.

Through continuous updates on the battle situation during the air combat, she deduced that the number of people engaging with them was not very large.

Soon, when the Siren's carrier-based aircraft spotted Brunhilde, Agir, and the others, the Tester's hypothesis was further reinforced.

Even without taking action herself, the sheer size of the Siren fleet would be enough to completely destroy the city.

"My odds of winning are... 83%. Heh, without that person breaking the deductions of the natural calculus system for you, you won't escape from my grasp this time."

This was a true inference from the Tester.

The overwhelming number of carrier-based aircraft alone had already caused considerable trouble for Brunhilde and her team, who had come out to meet them.

"This number of enemy planes—this time, the Sirens are serious."

On Brünhilde's side, everyone fired their ship-mounted anti-aircraft guns in all directions.

Since Lin Lan had replaced their guns with reinforced graduation anti-aircraft artillery, the Siren carrier-based aircraft in the airspace around them were being shot down in large numbers, like moths to a flame.

However, the chessboard girls did not have such dense anti-aircraft firepower. Soon, Siren bombers flew overhead and began dive bombing.

These Siren carrier-based aircraft were all launched from Siren production aircraft carriers, and their hit rate was not very accurate.

Additionally, Akashi provided full anti-aircraft support, assisting the chessboard girls in temporarily stabilizing the situation.

As a result, these chess pieces were able to survive without suffering significant damage for a short time.

"My fighter crew has been unable to take off for a short while, but we have not come away empty-handed."

Zeppelin's face was grim; the iron-blooded fleet lacked aviation dominance, and she was not an aircraft carrier-type mother skilled at securing air supremacy.

Therefore, she couldn't match the number of incoming Siren carrier-based aircraft.

"I know who this high-ranking Siren of the fleet is."

Zeppelin turned on her communicator and spoke into the channel.

"What model is the senior Siren, and how are things there?"

Lin Lan's concerned voice came through the channel, slightly easing Zeppelin's gloomy demeanor.

"There are many carrier-based aircraft coming from the Sirens, but we can handle it for now. The high-ranking Siren we're dealing with is... the Tester."

Hearing the name of the Tester, not only did Lin Lan in the port area display surprise, but all the iron-blooded ship girls were also taken aback.

It wasn't that the Tester was exceptionally strong in combat; rather, this individual was notoriously difficult to deal with—cunning, insidious, sly, and unscrupulous.

This was the general perception of the Tester, including Lin Lan's.

"It's that guy! Then I'm glad I didn't go to sea with you. This guy is always a riddler and never reveals anything of value."

Lin Lan's voice continued from the channel.

He had already heard the roar of anti-aircraft artillery and knew that the current air defense pressure on the iron-blooded fleet was likely considerable.

"If the pressure is too great, retreat. Don't resist, understand... crackle crackle crackle..."

Lin Lan's voice was suddenly interrupted, and the entire channel fell into static.

"It's the Sirens' signal jammers; they're coming."

Brunhilde's solemn voice rang out across the battlefield.

They were already beneath dark clouds, and visibility over the sea had plummeted.

The waves grew stronger, accompanied by fierce winds, while the low hum of carrier-based aircraft reverberated through the oppressive clouds surrounding them.

Anti-aircraft guns continued to fire, and one by one, Sirens engulfed in orange-yellow flames crashed into the sea.

The scene around the ship girls resembled an abyss from a nightmare—extremely terrifying.

"Boom!"

Amidst the dense sound of anti-aircraft fire, the roar of large-caliber main guns suddenly erupted.

Agir, positioned at the front of the fleet, opened fire.

With Agir's attack, it was official: they had engaged the massive Siren fleet.

Shortly after Agir fired, the thunderous sounds of the Mainz and Spee ships' main guns echoed across the dark sea.

"There are so many; it seems I'll have to get serious this time. After this, I must ask the commander for an extended vacation!"

Lutzow had already shed her languid demeanor, and the black-red dragon hovering beside her slowly aimed at the monstrous jaws in front of her.

"Boom!"

The large-caliber high-explosive shell from the prototype twin 406mm SKC main gun, carrying dozens of black-and-red small missiles exclusive to the Lutzow ship, pierced the dark, oppressive night sky and raced toward the battlefield ahead.

Lutzow's attack also signified the official start of their battle with the Sirens.

Directly in front of the fleet, Agir formed a tacit triangular formation with Mainz and Spee, gliding over the surging waves and dodging one incoming Siren shell after another.

Her long silver hair fluttered behind her, and with a wild smile on her face, Agir controlled the dragon suit, evading cannonballs while returning fire at the massive Siren fleet in front of her.

She didn't even need to aim, as there were simply too many Sirens.

Surrounding the three of them were dozens of short-haired, silver-haired, fish-headed ship girls, armed with plowhead rays, the elite Siren Explorer II.

Although Agir, Mainz, and Spee continued to sink the explorers obstructing their path, the encirclement was always replenished with new explorers, flowing in like an endless tide.

That was where the Sirens truly excelled. They were unafraid of death and would always crush everything that stood in their way through sheer numbers.

"Testers, don't hide behind the production types and executors; come and have some fun with us!"

Agir sneered at the giant Manta ships in the Sirens outside the encirclement, grinning at the Testers observing their struggle.

But Agir was only met with the Subject's unchanged grim expression.

The Subject was not the Purifier's chatterbox.

"Boom!"

Agir's dragon rig swooped in to intercept a heavy cruiser shell that was coming from her side.

A terrifying explosion erupted around her dragon ship, creating a violent wave of air that blew Agir's long silver hair upward again.

However, apart from a black mark, the cannonball inflicted no damage on the black-red steel dragon.

The powerful defensive capabilities of the Super Patrol were vividly demonstrated at that moment.

"Agir, there are too many Sirens!"

The silver-haired light cruiser Mainz, with her silver navy sword unsheathed, blocked several shells aimed at Spee using her shield skills.

After counter attacking the attackers, she looked at Agir with a serious expression as they galloped forward.

But as soon as her words fell, shells from Lütsov's main guns in the rear were fired.

A few explorers that had gathered too closely, unable to dodge in time, were torn apart by the main guns of this battleship class.

The subsequent barrage of black-red missiles from the main artillery also struck a wide area of explorers, significantly reducing the pressure on Agir and her comrades.
