Chapter 53. Not Going to Break Me

Medusa had known the pleasures of sexual intercourse before, both willingly and unwillingly. In her earlier centuries, she had lain with Athena and Poseidon, the latter an encounter that had been forced upon her.

But after those tumultuous experiences, Medusa had sworn off intimate relations, her life consumed by the resentment and atonement that had become the hallmarks of her existence.

Instead, Medusa had thrown herself into building a legacy of compassion and care. She established businesses, founded a non-profit organization to aid the less fortunate, and created shelters and sanctuaries for animals and wildlife. These noble endeavors had become the focus of her endless centuries, a means of finding purpose and redemption.
