Awakening of the Necromancer

As the chaos of battle erupted around me, the ground heaved violently, revealing the raw power and destruction that punctuated our fierce conflict. The walls of the dungeon bore witness to the pandemonium, now splattered with debris and echoes of thunderous clashes. The fire spirit, Ignite, had succumbed to a primal rage, hurling boulders like mere pebbles while enveloped in flames. My nimble movements resembled those of a monkey, leaping nimbly to evade the barrage of fiery projectiles.

In a desperate moment, a rock crashing toward me forced my hand. I launched myself from the corner of the dungeon, leaping onto the rock and propelling myself towards Ignite. Gripping his waist, I hurled him against the wall, following up with a powerful slam to the ground beneath us.

"Hahaha! Sex may be my second favorite pastime, but watching you eat dirt will always reign supreme!" I retaliated, laughter escaping my lips as I taunted the scorched spirit.

However, my gloating was short-lived. As I relished my moment of triumph, Ignite, ever the fierce adversary, flipped onto his feet in an instant, landing a stinging kick that connected with my chin and sent me sprawling backward. A second kick, executed in a seamless 360-degree motion, struck my back, igniting a sensation akin to a hot spear piercing through my flesh—a pain so intense I momentarily crumpled to the ground.

"I've tangled with goddesses, whores, humans, and monsters, but nothing compares to the joy of trampling you into submission!" Ignite bellowed, his voice laced with derision.

"Your incessant chatter continues to amuse me," I retorted, gritting my teeth as I refocused.

"Fireball!" Ignite cried out, unleashing a continuous stream of searing fireballs that rained down upon me. The fabric of my clothing caught flame, and pain shot through my back as I felt my skin begin to scorch. In a surge of resolve, I seized his leg, summoning all my strength to deliver an elbow strike that connected with his calf.

Once more, we regained our footing and charged at each other, a collision destined to determine the outcome of our duel. I slid gracefully beneath him, and as he turned, I launched my own 360-degree kick, knocking him to the ground. With precision, I unleashed my toxic sludge attack against his armor.

"Aaaaah! What is this?" Ignite screeched, the caustic poison beginning to eat away at his defenses. "It's burning! What have you done?"

"This is but a taste of the most toxic potion I could conjure—enjoy it!" I laughed, relishing in the moment.

In an act of desperation, Ignite conjured a small fireball, aiming it at the ceiling above me. I ducked and rolled to avoid the debris raining down as he targeted the stone structure looming over my head.

"It's time to bring this battle to a close, Ignite. I truly enjoyed our clash, but I must move on," I declared, realizing the urgency of the fight.

"Ah, yes, we both know it's time," he conceded, the flames in his eyes dimming slightly.

With our final charges echoing through the dungeon, Ignite prepared his fire-fist, and I summoned every ounce of strength remaining within me. As we barreled towards one another, a fleeting thought washed over me—I understood that in this collision might lie my end. I needed to resort to a last resort, an unorthodox advantage.

"Forgive me, Ignite, for ending our battle this way. I have promises to keep," I whispered, activating my 'Leer' skill.

The surge of energy effectively paralyzed Ignite for a mere instant, but it was a precious moment I seized. My fist pierced through his armor, shattering the ruby embedded within, and striking true to the heart. He fell to his knees, my shoulder cradling his weight as I felt the warmth of his body drain away.

"Thank you, friend, for this battle. I genuinely enjoyed it," he murmured, his voice a whisper of gratitude, a smile etched upon his fading visage despite the blood that marred his lips.

Tears stung my eyes as he rested against me, the flickering remnants of his spirit captivating me. I could envision the joy radiating from his eyes, shining brightly even as the life began to ebb from him.

"I'm so sorry, dear friend," I whispered, feeling the weight of my last words resonate deeply within my heart.

The flames flickered and dimmed within him, and as his fire-fist returned to its mundane form, it signified his final release from the earthly bonds of this plane.

And with his passing, I found myself standing on the precipice of victory, albeit marred by the compromise of deception. I could scarcely rejoice, for every bruise on my body ached, reminding me of the fierce struggle that had just unfolded. My body was battered, and fatigue pressed heavily upon my consciousness—was I succumbing to the darkness lurking at the edges of my mind?

Just then, a notification broke through the haze of exhaustion:

**NOTICE: YOU LEVELLED UP**

As the world around him faded into the abyss, a rush of sensations overwhelmed Red, and he found himself plummeting into darkness. Then, without warning, he fell to the ground, striking it hard.

A voice echoed in his mind, a blend of enthusiasm and the bizarre nature of his reality. "Well, he fainted, but on the bright side, he leveled up! Now I can manifest my will and take command of this body. Let's see what changes are in store for him."

Suddenly, a cascade of notifications flooded his consciousness, bright and vivid against the darkness:

"Alright, the transformation is complete. Now, it's time to conquer this dungeon. I'll need to borrow his body for a spell, as he's in dire need of medical attention—his physical form has endured too much hardship. It appears I've chosen the right vessel after all," he chuckled sinisterly.

"First, I must resurrect this brave soul."

As he focused, a wave of energy surged through Red's body.

"Aah, my head! Why does it hurt so much? I'm tired of all this!"

When Red opened his eyes, he recognized the rustic, dimly lit hut where he had regained consciousness after his confrontation with the goblins. Confusion etched his features, mingling with disbelief.

"Wait, what? Am I dreaming? How on earth did I end up here?"

Panic surged through him as he leaped to his feet, scanning the room in alarm. How was he back in the goblin town? His last memory was of battling against Ignite within the labyrinthine depths of the dungeon. The serenity of the hut felt surreal after the chaos he had just endured.

In his moment of disorientation, a soothing voice resonated within his mind, calming in its clarity. "Hello, Master. Good morning."

"Huh? Who is this?" Red sputtered, bewildered.

"What is this voice? Who are you?" he demanded, trying to anchor himself in reality.

"Master, I am Sage. I am your skill," the voice replied, a hint of pride evident in its tone.

"Your skill? When did I acquire a skill that can actually converse with me?" Red's mind raced, grappling with the absurdity of it all. What strange transformation had occurred within him? Little did he know, the journey ahead was bound to reveal the answer, intertwined with the very fabric of fate and the power he had just begun to comprehend.
