The cavern was a crucible of heat and chaos. Duke faced the Djinn of Pride, an ancient entity wreathed in golden fire, its aura radiating arrogance and overwhelming power. The ground around them was scorched and cracked, molten rock pooling beneath their feet.
The Djinn sneered at Duke, its fiery form towering over him.
Djinn of Pride:
"You have spirit, mortal, but your flames are nothing compared to mine. Kneel, and I may grant you a swift end."
Duke's blue flames roared to life, burning brighter and hotter in defiance of the Djinn's words. His eyes were fierce, unwavering.
Duke:
"Save your pity. I'm not here to kneel—I'm here to win."
The Djinn growled, its golden fire intensifying as it charged toward Duke, each step shaking the cavern. With a swing of its massive arm, it sent a wave of fire barreling toward him.
Duke stood his ground, slashing his blade upward. His blue flames surged forth, colliding with the Djinn's attack and splitting it apart.
Duke:
"Your arrogance will be your downfall. Let me show you what real fire looks like!"
He leaped forward, his blade trailing azure flames, and struck at the Djinn. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the cavern, and the Djinn staggered back, surprise flickering in its molten eyes.
The Djinn of Pride snarled, raising its fists and slamming them into the ground. Pillars of golden fire erupted around Duke, trapping him in a blazing inferno.
Djinn of Pride:
"You will burn, mortal! My flames are eternal!"
But Duke's voice rang out from within the firestorm, defiant and unyielding.
Duke:
"If your flames are eternal, then mine are unstoppable!"
His blue flames exploded outward, tearing through the Djinn's inferno and leaving a smoldering path in their wake. Duke dashed forward, his sword glowing with an intense, otherworldly light.
Duke:
"Azure Inferno—Phoenix Blade!"
A massive phoenix made of blue fire emerged from his sword, its piercing cry echoing through the cavern as it hurtled toward the Djinn. The creature raised its arms, summoning a golden barrier to block the attack, but the phoenix smashed through it, slamming into the Djinn and engulfing it in flames.
The Djinn stumbled, its golden fire dimming slightly.
Djinn of Pride:
"You dare… challenge my supremacy?"
Summoning all its energy, the Djinn created a massive sphere of fire above its head, the heat so intense that the air shimmered and cracked.
Djinn of Pride:
"Behold my ultimate technique—Eternal Sun! Burn in its glory!"
The blazing sphere descended toward Duke, a miniature sun threatening to consume everything.
Duke:
"You're not the only one with ultimate techniques. Let's end this!"
He raised his sword high, his blue flames coiling around him like a storm.
Duke:
"Azure Inferno—Sovereign Flame!"
With a powerful swing, Duke unleashed a massive wave of blue fire that spiraled upward, meeting the Eternal Sun head-on. The two forces clashed in a blinding explosion, the sheer intensity of their flames shaking the entire dungeon.
When the flames subsided, the Djinn of Pride knelt on the ground, its golden fire flickering weakly. It glared at Duke, its once-overbearing presence diminished.
Djinn of Pride:
"You… have proven yourself. But this… is far from over."
The Djinn disintegrated into embers, leaving behind only scorched ground as evidence of its defeat.
Duke staggered but remained standing, his sword still burning with faint blue flames.
Duke:
"That's enough out of you. You fought well, but arrogance has no place in a real battle."
He turned and began making his way back to the group, his determination unshaken despite the toll the fight had taken on him.
Meanwhile, Dakota and the others were gathered near the shelter they had established, preparing themselves for what lay ahead. The tension was palpable, the weight of the dungeon pressing down on them as they readied their gear and focused their minds.
Dakota leaned against the wall, his arms crossed as he observed the group.
Dakota:
"This is it. The next floor is the boss room. If we're not prepared, it'll be the end of us."
Henry adjusted the straps on his armor, his sword resting across his lap.
Henry:
"You're saying this boss is worse than anything we've faced so far? Great. That's just what I needed to hear."
Ava, sitting beside him, smirked, flames flickering at her fingertips.
Ava:
"Stop whining, Henry. We'll handle it. We always do."
Lucas, his icy aura radiating calm, chimed in.
Lucas:
"Confidence is good, but let's not get careless. We don't know what's waiting for us in there."
Liam was sharpening his blade, his eyes narrowed in focus.
Liam:
"Whatever it is, we'll take it down. Together."
The group nodded in agreement, their resolve unwavering despite the uncertainty ahead.
Dakota: "well here is the gate, after we open this and enter, we will fight the boss."
Henry: "well I don't think we will face someone who is more dangerous than what duke and Franklin are facing. I mean only the mythical Djinn of warth is stronger that the Djinn of pride and gluttony."
Dakota: "...oh yeah it will definitely not be the mythical Djinn of warth."
Dakota thinking: yeah I was lying, it is indeed the Djinn of warth, this is why I was trying to make them as strong as I can before we got to this floor. I hope that none of us die, even though the chances of one of us dying is extremely high, But I believe that none of us will die, since in the novel Henry and the others did not die but they did have help from duke and Franklin and his parents and some others.
Dakota thinking: but oh who cares, we will still win this.
The group entered the room, and a figured who's skin was completely red, and his eyes were also red and so was his face.
Djinn of warth: "welcome mortals."
He pointed at Henry, Amelia, jack and Luna.
Djinn of warth: "... And also welcome anomalies."
Then he pointed at, me, Lucas, ava, Liam and Mia.
