The cavern burned with a ferocity unmatched, molten rivers carving paths of destruction as the Djinn of Wrath loomed over the group. His body, now fully engulfed in flame, emanated a heat so intense it warped the air, making it difficult for anyone to even stand close to him. His molten fists dripped fire, and the cavern walls cracked under his fiery aura.
Djinn of Wrath:
"Mortals, your futile resistance is admirable, but it is over. This vessel has been granted my full power, and now you will burn for your insolence!"
The Djinn raised his hands, and fiery tendrils shot out, targeting everyone at once. Dakota's group scattered, each member barely managing to evade the searing flames. The ground beneath their feet bubbled and cracked, leaving no safe place to stand.
Dakota:
"Stay on your toes! Don't get caught off guard!"
The group fought desperately to counter the Djinn's attacks, but his overwhelming power forced them onto the defensive.
Liam and Jack charged forward together, their lightning crackling through the molten air.
Liam:
"Jack, flank him! Let's hit him with a combined strike!"
Jack nodded, both of their hands glowing with arcs of electricity. They unleashed a dual thunderstrike, the bolts slamming into the Djinn's chest. For a moment, it seemed like the attack had some effect as the flames dimmed. But the Djinn roared in anger and sent a wave of fire spiraling out, knocking them back.
Jack:
"Damn it! He's shrugging everything off!"
Henry and Ava followed up, their combined flames merging into a massive vortex of fire.
Ava:
"Let's see if he can handle this!"
They hurled the fiery vortex at the Djinn, but it barely slowed him down. Instead, the Djinn retaliated with a molten fist that slammed into Henry, sending him flying across the cavern. He crashed into a wall, coughing blood.
Henry:
"Argh... this guy's insane!"
Mia tried to bind the Djinn's feet with her water magic while Lucas attempted to freeze his arms. The ground beneath the Djinn cracked and shifted, and frost coated his molten body, but neither attack was enough to stop him.
Djinn of Wrath:
"Your pathetic tricks cannot contain me!"
The Djinn stomped the ground, shattering the ground and releasing a wave of fire that engulfed Mia and Lucas, throwing them back. Mia hit the ground hard, struggling to stay conscious, while Lucas groaned in pain, ice shards falling uselessly from his hands.
Dakota:
"Everyone, pull back! He's targeting you one by one!"
But the Djinn didn't relent. He hurled massive fireballs at the group, each explosion shaking the cavern. Liam and Ava barely dodged, while Jack was hit directly, his body skidding across the ground. Luna leaped in front of Mia, shielding her from the worst of the flames but yelping in pain as her skin was singed.
As the group faltered, Dakota remained steadfast. His sword blazed with blue flames, a stark contrast to the Djinn's fiery wrath. He dashed forward, dodging another fireball and closing the distance.
Djinn of Wrath:
"And what can you do alone, mortal?"
Dakota smirked, his sword glowing brighter.
Dakota:
"More than you think."
With a single swing, Dakota's blade sent a wave of energy slicing through the Djinn's molten form. The attack staggered the fiery titan, his flames dimming momentarily.
Djinn of Wrath:
"You dare wound me again?! Insolent worm!"
The Djinn roared and swung a molten fist at Dakota, but he caught it with his free hand, his blue flames clashing with the Djinn's fire. For a moment, the cavern was silent, the two locked in a battle of strength and will.
Dakota:
"Henry!"
Henry, still struggling to stand, looked up in surprise.
Dakota:
"Use your ability to gather all the mana you can for one final strike. I'll hold him off!"
Henry:
"But—"
Dakota:
"No arguments. I'm giving you my mana, and the others will, too. You've got this."
Dakota's calm authority snapped the group into action. Despite their injuries and exhaustion, they each began channeling their mana toward Henry. Lucas, Mia, Liam, Jack, Ava, mia and Luna poured their remaining energy into him.
Henry's body began to glow with an intense red light as the mana surged into him, the flames around his sword growing brighter and hotter.
Henry:
"I... I can feel it! This is insane!"
Dakota:
"Good. Now focus it all into one attack. Don't waste it."
The Djinn of Wrath struggled against Dakota's grip, his molten body flaring with anger.
Djinn of Wrath:
"You think you can defeat me with such a pitiful plan? I am WRATH!"
Dakota smirked, his grip tightening.
Dakota:
"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before. Let's see how you handle this."
Henry raised his sword, the flames now so intense that they lit up the entire cavern. The heat was almost unbearable, but he held firm, his eyes locked on the Djinn.
Henry:
"This is it! Everyone's power... all in one strike!"
With a roar, Henry swung his sword, releasing a massive wave of concentrated fire. The attack shot forward like a comet, engulfing the Djinn in an explosion of heat and light. The cavern shook violently, chunks of rock falling from the ceiling as the blast consumed everything in its path.
The light faded, leaving the group panting and exhausted. The Djinn's form was barely visible through the smoke and steam, but it was clear the attack had struck true.
The group stood in silence, their eyes fixed on the dissipating smoke. No one dared to move or speak, waiting to see if the Djinn had been defeated.
Liam:
"Did... did we get him?"
Ava:
"I don't know. That attack was massive, but..."
Henry collapsed to his knees, his body trembling from the strain of channeling so much power.
Henry:
"I gave it everything I had..."
Dakota stood at the front, his sword still glowing faintly. His expression was unreadable as he stared at the spot where the Djinn had stood.
Dakota:
"Don't let your guard down just yet. He's not the type to go down easily."
the smoke clears, leaving the group on edge, unsure if their greatest foe has been defeated or if Wrath still lingers, ready to unleash his fury once more.
