Three weeks had passed since Dakota's return, and in that time, their preparations had become more intense than ever. The war was closing in, and with it came the need to finalize their battle plan. In the underground chamber of their hideout, Dakota, his group, Duke, Franklin, and General Voss gathered around the stone table, their expressions hardened by the weight of their decisions.
General Voss: (arms crossed, voice steady)
"We've gathered all the information we could on the three cloaked figures. As we suspected, they aren't ordinary opponents."
Duke: (nodding, his deep voice filled with authority)
"They've been called many names, but from what we've uncovered, they are simply known as the Father, the Mother, and the Daughter. Each of them commands a different domain of power. Separating them is the best course of action."
Franklin: (leaning forward, his brow furrowed)
"But let's not fool ourselves—these three alone could turn the tide of this war if we don't handle them correctly."
Dakota: (calmly, resting his hands on the table)
"That's why we're here. Today, we decide who will face them."
A tense silence followed his words. Everyone knew this was a battle they couldn't afford to lose.
General Voss: (turning to Dakota)
"You're the leader here, Dakota. You make the call."
The room remained silent as Dakota took a moment to think. He knew everyone's strengths, their weaknesses, and their potential. After several seconds, he finally spoke.
Dakota: (decisively)
"The ones who will face the Father will be Jack, Liam, Luna, and Amelia."
Jack exchanged a glance with Liam, nodding in silent agreement. Luna simply flicked her tail, sensing the weight of the decision. Amelia, sitting quietly, took a deep breath before nodding.
Jack: (grinning slightly)
"Sounds like we've got our work cut out for us."
Liam: (smirking)
"Bring it on."
Dakota: (continuing, voice unwavering)
"The ones who will face the Mother will be Duke and Franklin."
Duke let out a small chuckle, crossing his arms.
Duke:
"Fitting, I suppose. It's been a while since I've had a real challenge."
Franklin: (grinning)
"I wouldn't want to face her with anyone else."
Dakota:
"As for the Daughter… Lucas, she's yours."
Lucas blinked in surprise but didn't hesitate. He exhaled slowly, his icy blue eyes narrowing with determination.
Lucas: (nodding)
"I'll take her down."
Dakota: (pausing, then looking at Ava)
"The one who will face Fianna… is you, Ava. Some will be joining you, but you will lead the fight."
Ava's eyes widened slightly before she clenched her fists. There was no hesitation in her voice when she responded.
Ava:
"Understood."
The room remained quiet for a few moments before Dakota spoke again, his gaze turning sharp.
Dakota:
"And as for Blazer… the strongest one. The ones who will face him are myself, Henry, and Mia."
Mia's eyes widened in shock.
Mia: (stunned)
"Wait—me?!"
Henry: (raising an eyebrow, smirking)
"Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting that either."
Mia looked at Dakota, waiting for an explanation.
Dakota: (calmly, looking directly at her)
"It's because of your magic. Your abilities give us an edge against Blazer that no one else has."
Mia took a deep breath, processing his words before slowly nodding. If Dakota believed in her, she wouldn't let him down.
Mia: (more determined)
"Alright. I won't let you down."
Dakota: (looking around the table)
"Any objections?"
The group exchanged glances, but no one spoke. There was no hesitation, no complaints. They knew their roles now, and they were ready to accept them.
Dakota: (nodding)
"Then the meeting is over. Everyone, follow me outside."
The group followed Dakota out of the underground chamber and into the open field outside their hideout. The cool night air was refreshing, the sky a deep navy with stars scattered across it like shards of glass. A gentle breeze swept past them, carrying the scent of the earth.
Dakota stood in front of them, his cobalt eyes reflecting the moonlight. He took a deep breath before speaking.
Dakota: (his voice calm, but carrying a heavy weight)
"It's time I tell you all the truth."
A heavy silence fell over the group. They had waited for this moment, but now that it was here, they weren't sure if they were ready.
Liam: (crossing his arms, his voice low)
"You've been holding back on us, Dakota. We've all known it. Just say it."
Dakota: (nodding)
"I will."
He looked at each of them, his expression unreadable. Then, after a moment, he spoke words that would change everything.
Dakota:
"Now… I will tell you everything."
Dakota thinking: ...I can't believe it's time for me to actually tell them the truth, I know I had to do this eventually ever since I told them that I was going to tell them the truth... But I wonder how they're going to take this news, how are Henry and the others and duke and Franklin will feel like when they find out they're just characters in a novel. And I wonder if ava and the others are truly my friends reincarnated with their past memories lost. Well that's why I'm going to show them my memory Since the start of my past life childhood... They will see everything.
Dakota thinking: everything including how I became friends with those guys form my past life, and how I met those three and how they ruined my life. How I basically betrayed my friends. And how I got with my girlfriend and how we break up. And how I created my novel and how I created them. And I'll show them what I was thinking during this life how I got reincarnated and how I always knew what to do.
Dakota thinking: man I really hope they don't get too mad at me and instantly try to kill me. Well the devil's didn't instantly try to kill me when they found out I'm the creator. But they're devil's and this are my friends and family... Oh I really hope this goes well. I really do hope.
