teg fight against Fianna(4)

BOOOOOOM!

The cavern quaked under the sheer force of their battle. The walls, once solid, cracked and crumbled under the raw intensity of their flames. Molten rock split the ground as rivers of fire and golden embers consumed the battlefield.

Ava and Fiona blurred through the cavern, clashing in a whirlwind of motion. Each exchange sent shockwaves that fractured the ground beneath them.

Ava's blue flames roared as she swung her twin blades in a perfect arc. Fiona met her strike with a fiery fist, golden flames colliding with sapphire infernos.

CRASH!

The impact sent both flying back, landing on opposite ends of the battlefield.

Fiona wiped a streak of blood from her lip, grinning. Ava was finally pushing her.

Fiona:

"This is more like it!"

Ava, breathing heavily, tightened her grip on her flame-forged swords. She had finally wounded Fiona, but this was far from over.

Ava:

"I'm not stopping now!"

Without hesitation, she dashed forward.

Fiona smirked and lunged to meet her.

BOOM!

They clashed in the center, blades and fists striking with godlike force. Every impact shattered stone, sent shockwaves through the cavern, and ignited the air itself.

Ava spun mid-air, slashing downward. Fiona dodged—barely. A streak of blue fire cut across her shoulder, drawing another line of blood.

Fiona's smirk twitched.

Fiona:

"Tch… you're actually getting somewhere."

She retaliated instantly, ducking low and slamming an uppercut wreathed in golden flames into Ava's gut.

CRACK!

Ava gasped as she was launched upward, smashing through the cavern ceiling. But before she could recover—

WHOOSH!

Fiona appeared above her in an instant, golden flames condensing in her palm.

Fiona:

"Burn out."

She fired a concentrated blast of golden fire.

BOOOOM!

The explosion engulfed Ava, sending her plummeting back down like a comet. She crashed into the ground, carving a massive crater in the battlefield.

Ava:

"Kh… damn it!"

She forced herself up, eyes blazing. Her blue flames flared violently.

Ava:

"That all you got?!"

Fiona chuckled, rolling her shoulders.

Fiona:

"Far from it."

And just like that, they were at it again.

They clashed in a flurry of destruction, neither giving the other a moment to breathe.

Blades met fists. Flames burned against flames. The battlefield became a hellscape of fire and fury.

Marco and Nico had been watching from the sidelines, struggling to keep up with the sheer speed of the fight. But when Ava crashed to the ground for the third time, they knew—they had to intervene.

Marco:

"We can't let her fight alone!"

Nico:

"Agreed. Let's back her up!"

They launched into action.

Marco slammed his fists into the ground, sending a wave of ice surging forward. The frigid energy twisted through the molten battlefield, colliding against Fiona's golden flames. Steam burst into the air, obscuring Fiona's vision for a split second.

Nico took advantage of the moment, weaving water through the vapor to create bladed tendrils of scalding mist.

Nico:

"Ava! Now!"

Ava didn't hesitate. She shot forward, twin blades flashing as she carved through the steam like a phantom.

SLASH!

This time, her blades cut deep into Fiona's side.

Fiona hissed, jumping back as blood dripped onto the scorched ground.

Fiona:

"Tch… you guys are annoying."

She extended her hand, golden flames swirling around her fingertips.

Fiona:

"Fine. Let's get rid of you first."

Marco barely had time to react before Fiona vanished.

BANG!

Fiona reappeared behind him and drove a knee into his spine.

CRACK!

Marco's eyes widened in shock as he was sent flying, his body slamming through a jagged rock formation.

Nico spun, water magic surging around him—

But Fiona was already there.

She delivered a crushing palm strike to his chest.

BOOOOM!

Nico gasped as he was sent spiraling across the battlefield, barely managing to crash-land near Marco.

Ava's heart pounded. Her teammates were down.

Her grip on her swords tightened.

Ava:

"Damn you!"

She charged Fiona again, blue flames reaching a new peak.

Fiona grinned, meeting her attack head-on.

The cavern exploded with fire.

For what felt like an eternity, the two clashed.

Fiona's golden flames burned with divine intensity, while Ava's blue inferno only grew stronger.

The cavern had become a battlefield of gods.

Ava spun through the air, dodging a flaming strike before countering with a devastating slash—only for Fiona to twist at the last second, barely avoiding a fatal blow.

Fiona retaliated with a brutal kick to Ava's ribs, sending her crashing through another pillar of molten stone.

But Ava didn't stay down.

She surged back to her feet, her body covered in burns, her breath ragged—but her eyes still burned with determination.

Fiona chuckled, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

Fiona:

"You're still standing? Even after all that?"

Ava spat blood onto the ground.

Ava:

"You think I'd just roll over?"

Fiona's grin widened.

Fiona:

"Heh. I was hoping you'd say that."

She extended her hand.

Golden fire erupted around her, consuming her entire body in an aura of raw power.

Fiona:

"Alright, Ava… no more holding back."

Ava felt her pulse quicken.

Something about Fiona's energy was different. More refined. More lethal.

And yet—

She smiled.

Ava:

"Funny… I was just thinking the same thing."

She lifted her swords.

Her blue flames flared brighter than ever, swirling around her like a storm of pure destruction.

For a moment, the cavern fell into silence.

Fiona and Ava locked eyes.

Neither moved.

Then—

BOOOOOOOOOM!

Both of their auras exploded outward, shaking the very foundation of the dungeon.

Marco, Nico, and the others barely managed to stand, watching in absolute shock.

Marco:

"No way…"

Nico:

"They're… both going all out?!"

Fiona took a slow step forward, golden flames licking at her feet.

Fiona:

"Let's settle this once and for all."

Ava raised her swords, her blue flames roaring like an unstoppable tidal wave.

Ava:

"Yeah… let's do it."

Both of them dashed forward—

And then— a lot of things happened... A lot of things indeed, the fight will now be reaching it's climax in the next chapter.
