Let the Flight Begin

I left the cave with a new bow in my hands. Then for a while I ventured in the woods nearby. I found a rather quiet place.

I got a tree trunk that I could stand on easily. I touched the bottom of my feet and I activated Let the hunt begin.

My objective was to find a way to distance myself from other fighters to use my type's distance advantage, and the way I was going to do that was simple; by flying.

Some might think I am crazy as even for wind mages it requires a rather good proficiency and precise control of their affinity, but even than it is not guaranteed but thanks to my Talent I might manage to do that without the extreme control of the wind affinity required. The Talent Let the hunt begin states that If I have the intent to throw something and I throw it, that thing becomes a Projectile or at least that's how I think it works so the tree trunks comes back to me since I had the intent to throw it with my foot.

I took the tree trunk, pushed it down and then jumped as the tree trunk was coming to me.

As the tree trunk came to me I once again pushed it and jumped once again and the tree trunk came again, but as I jumped once more I found myself on the ground and the tree trunk fell on top of me. As I was laying on the ground the system appeared and reported,

*Congrats, Your talent Let the hunt begin has leveled up to Level 2!*

"Hah, This is crazy it really works" I shouted, then suddenly came back to my senses as I looked around I saw people looking at me with judging gazes, but I don't think they understood what I just did, so they did not care.

I didn't expect to gain a level just from trying and doing a little of it for the first time, but I'll take it.

"System" I muttered.

Let the hunt begin:The user marks someone via physical touch. The marked prey will not be able to dodge any attack(via projectiles) coming from the user for a minute and a half. This talent can be used every one hours.

Current Prey:None.

Overloaded Senses:The user can choose one of the five senses to strengthen up to three times. This talent can be used for one hour but when deactivated the user will randomly lose one of their senses for how many times they strengthened their sense

I came back to my dorm after getting the Bow of Eros, but there was still a lot of time left until 10 p.m. (the students aren't allowed to go out of their rooms after 10 p.m.) so I went down to the training hall. There wasn't anyone here since there was more than a month left before the academy started. In fact most people weren't even staying on dorms but rather in their own homes since staying on the dorms was optional for households generating enough income.

I went into the range and took out the Bow of Eros to a test. Even though its specialty was multiplying positive emotions it was still quite a good bow.

I realized I actually had quite the talent for sharpshooting as I hit 4 out of the 5 targets. I trained there for about an hour.

I went to the open area after the range and tried that move again. I decided to name it Flight. I am too original and awesome I know, you can praise me. I practiced Flight for a while

It seems using my affinity to the limit isn't a good idea if I didn't want to get tired quickly.

Boomerang:The user can will any projectile to come back to their hand if they were the one who threw it. If they aren't the one who threw the projectile then they can make the projectile turn back to the hands of the one who threw it. It can be used every 10 seconds.

I had awakened a Sub-talent which was really hard to do unless you did something really unique or you were so proficient at something that the world decided to give it to you. I also had my stamina go up a rank.

"System is it always this easy to rank my stats up?"

*No, unfortunately not. Your stamina was already about to rank up and since its still in the F ranks its easier to rank up.*

After a few minutes of lying down I decided this would be my daily training. 30 minutes of archery and a daily Flight training. I got up and stretched then went back to my room to watch some TV, lie down and take it easy for the day.

*??? POV*

While Douglas was lying down on the ground a male dressed in all black was looking down on the training grounds. He wondered who that kid was and what he was doing. He had seen some wind mages fly but had never seen someone fly like this before. He honestly didn't understand how that kid was flying with only a pad or how he got so tired from just doing that but then the man remembered that he was just a student and still in the F ranks.

This kid certainly aroused his curiosity.
