She was getting a better grasp of these maps, she thought. They weren't perfectly organized or laid out or detailed, but they were still surprisingly complex.
She was struggling.
Her decision earlier to just try to copy the maps rather than attempt to brute-force memorize them proved to be a smart move every time she opened the map again and stared at it in confusion.
There was no telling how long it would take for her to properly memorize it - not just as something she could point at or recognize in map form, but actually on foot - or whatever her escape vehicle ended up - out there in the wild.
"Meeeehhh..." A soft bleat broke up her thoughts, a soft fuzzy nose nudging its way into her hair.
"Ahhh, hello there Darrach!" Rache smiled at her baby, giving a little pet on the ear.
